Yes, this is a chapter of the story, but really it's just me explaining on why I took so long getting this out.
I had created the pose of him last month very early into it, and for a whole day he was just a floating head. Then I went back in a did the body, which at the time was really nice. When I started going to do details did all hell broke loose. His real arm started messing up so I had to go back in a redraw it, which took me forever. When I got to the back legs, the pose I had them in didn't work out, which erasing it turned out to be a mistake. I ended having to get advise from xxfrostswipexx who told me in the long run to just cover the legs with the tail, which I did. Now I went into the lining phase, which didn't take me a long time until I messed up again, but they were small mistakes that aren't noticeable. Now the coloring phase. This is where I took a month long process of trying to find a way to color him. Now I started on the head after I finished lining it, and I got a pretty cool result by mixing most of my Copic greys and then finalizing it with the Colorless Blender. I stopped at the ears, worrying that I didn't have enough ink left to do it, so the month long break started. It was only until today that I risked the chance and found a way where I just used Copic grey N8, which is the darkest I had, and used the others to just blend areas that needed it. In all honesty, the tail is my favorite. I had originally planned to just blend the whole tail, but I went with shade changes. Starting with N8 and ending on N2. Then I took a Jelly Roll white gel pen and used it to line some darker areas.
Buck(nicknamed Floating Head) is now completed and I can work on other arts now (≧σ≦) !
Materials used: Copics N8 N6 N4 N2 and Colorless Blender, Jelly Roll white gel pen, and .5 ball point pen to line.
Happy Reading!
