The glass still lay on the floor when she slammed the door behind her, Liho waiting at her doorstep.
She bent down a stroked the feline, and he arched his back. Stepping away from him, Natasha leaned over the shards of clear cut glass.
"Like a mirror of yourself Natasha."
She spun quickly to stare at the newcomer at the window.
"Can I turn your heart into stone too?"
Clint smirked and turned his head away from her.
"Can it tell you whose the loneliest of all too?" A genuine question, one she didn't like.
Natasha shrugged off her jacket quickly and ran off to her bedroom, Clint following her slowly.
She stood in front of the broken frame she broke only just two days ago, her hand reflecting off of it. A faint red was stained on it.
"Did the glass cut you?" he asked.
Natasha shook her head, tears welling up in her eyes.
She pivoted on her heels, and yelled at him. "Why can't you save me from the things I see! I don't want to suffer like this!"
Falling to her knees, she put her hands to cover the tears falling swiftly down her pale face.
Clint bent down a rubbed her back softly.
"It's going to be alright Nat. It'll be over soon." He wasn't so sure of that, but Natasha needed to hear it.
"Someone's going to die Clint, and...and it could be Steve. I...I don't want to be alone anymore." she choked on another sob.
"Nat it's-" she cut him off.
"Get out."
He stared at her with disbelief.
"You're just confused and I-"
"Get out!"
Clint knew when he wasn't needed, so he left.
Natasha cried for at least an hour after he left. Ashamed of herself.
"I can't be like this anymore," she reached over for her phone and called Coulson.
He answered, and she briefly explain what she wanted him to do.
"Remember when I had my brain wiped?"
"Yeah."
"I need you to do it again."
A dead silence could be heard from the phone.
"Natasha, are you sure?" he said in a gentle voice.
"I forgot Alex, I forgot Ava. I can forget Steve."
At that moment, Natasha knew one thing for sure. She really was the loneliest of all.
