Ch 69

A/N: again, set before they were dating
_______________________
Steve would be lying if he said he wasn't attracted to Natasha. It was hard to not want to forcefully kiss her beautiful face and get lost in her emerald eyes.
It amazed him that she wasn't affected by the New York weather, which was mainly heavy coats and winter boots. Her auburn hair shinned in the sun; giving it a bold tint whenever they were out in the frosty city.
Steve didn't want to be attracted to such a wonderful woman, but Natasha found a way to sneak into his heart. She had become progressively less aggressive to him(she didn't rip a sketch of her this week!). However, she still seemed to want to make his life a living hell.
Constantly drifting away and giving him cold looks. He didn't understand why she did this.
She was nice to everyone else, even Stark, whom she really hates!
Steve was in the gym one day when Natasha was at her dance studio(Stark read her files and made a dance studio for her), and he went up to her.
"What are you doing?" He asked, curious on how she was able to bend her leg across her back to rest on her chest.
"Stretching Rogers, what does it look like?" She replied to him, a distant tone in her voice.
Steve sighed and turned away from her,"you know what Natasha," he started, but the redhead interrupted him.
"Yeah, about that phrase Rogers, last time someone started saying that, they gave me a life lesson and left me in angry tears."
Steve was shocked. Natasha Romanoff didn't cry!
"What did that person say?" He inquired, his eyebrows raising with interest.
Natasha looked at him with menace lacing her eyes. "He said 'F*ck off or I'm going to beat the sh*t out of you'." She said with deadly confidence.
"Did he really say that?" Steve questioned.
"No, but I just did. And I fully intend to act on it if you don't get your ass over to your punching bags and leave me alone," she said in a deadpan voice.
Steve backed up after that, turning around and leaving her alone.
~X~
Whatever Steve felt for Natasha, so did she.
When he met her in the gym and she sent him away, she actually wanted to call him back and kiss him senseless.
She wanted to just melt under those blue eyes of his, softly hugging his huge frame.
But what was she thinking! She can't be with him!
"Love is for children" she would whisper to herself every so often.
'If love is for children Ivan, then I never want to grow up!' Natasha thought in her brain.

¯\_()_/¯ how bout' that.
This one(if you didn't catch it already) was set right after the last chapter, where Clint left Natasha confused. Well, expect a chapter coming out this week
