A/N: in case you guys don't know, 4th of July is Cap's birthday. So here's a quick chapter to celebrate all the wonderfulness that is Steve.

Birthdays are his least favorite time of the year. Especially his.
When Steve told everyone he was born on the Fourth of July, no one believed him, back then and now.
To prove himself, he showed them his birth certificate. However, he lost it after the crash and had no proof. Luckily, Natasha searched it up on the SHEILD database and proved him right.
Apart from that, he gets a couple of nice gifts from Tony and some teasing remarks from Natasha about how "she'll serve her country right" (he still hasn't gotten that joke yet) and stuff.
Years later, and now dating the redhead, his birthday got a lot more exciting.
Everyone morning on his birthday, he wakes up to a cold bed and the National Anthem playing on his radio. After that, Clint and Tony take him lot for dinner and gifts. When he gets back to his and Natasha's apartment, he finds her stuffing her face with ice cream, watching some boring show about the history of America. He joins her, and later they go out and watch the fireworks.
Overall, Steve now enjoys his birthday rather then brush it off.
