|That Day|

"I think we could go even further with our business." A younger Hiashi said proudly.
"You mean your business." Fugaku said back to the man.
"What do you mean by that?"
Hinata's and Sasuke's fathers have been friends for years. They both were very powerful in business, and even more powerful when they're together. They both, were the most richest clans in the city they lived in.
"I mean that this business of ours, only involves one of us."
"What are you saying Fugaku?"
The raven haired man sighed. He heard rumors going around from his clan members, and knew better than to believe in such gossip. But, because of his suspicion, he told his eldest son, Itachi, to do some snooping around, and found the exact information he needed.
But he waited so he could properly make sure that everything was falling in place. But he knew for weeks now, and finally decided to confront him about it.
"Every since we combined our businesses, you've been taking in all the credit, have you? Because of this, I'm not making a fair share of the money we were supposed to make together. I knew something was up! You said we would be making 50/50!"
"Fugaku, the money we make together is exactly the same." He said in the most serious way possible, but he saw through his lies, he wasn't going to fall for them this time.
"Don't you dare lie to me! Recently, my checks have been decreasing, while yours haven't been at all! In fact, I bet yours have been increasing, haven't they?! You bastard, how could you do this to me, I thought we were friends Hiashi. Have the money gone that far to your head?"
At that exact moment, TenTen's mother walked through the door of Haishi's office. She looked at Fugaku, then at Hiashi, and glared at him.
"So it's true isn't it!"
"What are you talking about Tenko?" The Hyuga asked in a irritated manner.
Tenko, TenTen's mother, and Hiashi's assistant. She was very good at her job. She did everything right the first time with no mistakes. If anything, he was lucky to have an assistant as good as her.
But, he was already in a bad mood because he was cheating Fugaku out of his money, and now Tenko had found something out also. This couldn't be good.
"You're taking half the people in this building of their money! Including me. I need that money for my child, you need to understand that I am a only parent. If I'm not making the right amount of money to support her and myself, then I can't work for you."
She held a hard, cold glare on him, but Hiashi didn't budge. He didn't move, or say anything, but match her cold stare.
"But why? I don't understand. You're making plenty money as it is, why do this? Some people are losing their jobs and quitting because they either are not making enough money, or are being thrown out because they can't support the company."
Tenko laid out the facts. Yes, she also knew about what he was doing too, because of Fugaku, but she knew how to put two and two together, and figured some things out on her own also.
She even found another job for just in case everything was true. But other than that, she didn't know what to do. Tenko knew that this wasn't right, but she couldn't sew the man, and her reasons probably wouldn't be strong enough anyways.
"Cash can't be the only thing on your mind, can it?"
"Money is the only thing that will keep us alive in this world!! You should be greatful that you even have any. Both of you are complaining like mere children, anyone would be lucky to have their place in this company!"
Tenko stood there shock at the man before her. She stormed out the office with a simple "I quit" and never came back.
Fugaku looked at his friend in disbelief, as if he truly didn't know who he was anymore. The man he was staring at right now wasn't the Hiashi he knew. It was a totally different person.
He remembered times where the Hyuga thought that money wasn't everything, times where he put his family first, and job second. Since his wife died, Hiashi truly has turned into a different man. This isn't him at all.
"Money isn't everything Hiashi, you told me that. You can make money any time you want if you try, but how can you truly be happy when you have no one to share it with. You barely pay any attention to the two daughters you have now. Soon, you will get tired of it all, and realize how sad and pitiful you really are. Then, you will regret that you'd ever betrayed your friends."
"Well, they also say that friends come and go, don't they?"
Fugaku shook his head in disappointment of his old friend, and turned to leave.
"I will be starting my own business, I will make sure that our two businesses will be separated, and never cross again.. Bye Hiashi."
With that, he left the room with an angry Hyuga mumbling curses to himself.
~~
Tenko was already in the car, driving home, with a six year old TenTen in the back seat.
"What happened mom?"
Tenko couldn't control her anger. She was too upset, but she calmed down at the sound of her daughter's voice.
"Remember that new job I talked to you about? The one in Konoha?"
At this same exact moment, Fugaku was talking to his own son about what was going on.
"Sasuke, I bought my own company somewhere down in Konoha."
The two children were confused. They had no idea what the conversations where leading to, but they did have a guess in their minds. They may be kids, but they weren't that stupid.
"Mom, what happened to the job you have now?" TenTen kind of figured where this was headed, because her mom was talking about it for months now, and finally, the day was coming to an unbearable reality.
"Father, did something happen to the company you have here?" Sasuke knew that his dad owned many other companies besides the one he owns now with Hiashi, but his father never really talked about any of them with him.
"Mommy isn't getting paid enough sweety." Tenko squeezed the steering wheel tight in her palms as she drove.
"The money isn't adding up Sasuke, it's better for all of us to just head to Konoha. I'm letting Hiashi have this one."
The two six year olds already knew what was happening. They were going to move, but they didn't want to though.
"What about the Hyugas father, and Hinata?"
"Mom! I don't want to leave Hinata. We always play in the Hyugas backyard."
The two parents hated the fact that their children brought up the Hyugas. At this point, they hated that very clan now. The fact that the man they thought were their friend, backstabbed them.
"FORGET ABOUT THE HYUGAS!"
It was as if the universe planned this very moment, because although no one knows it at this point, the fuming parents had both said that exact sentence at the same time. Sasuke and TenTen had flinched in their seats at their sudden loud voices.
"For now, I don't want you to go over to that house." Tenko said, calming her voice.
"Sasuke, just forget about them, okay. I don't want you meeting them either."
The parents felt bad though, for it was the fact that their children had brought them all close together.
Although the Uchiha and Hyuga were 'friends' for years, they were only business partners, so they weren't as close as they thought. But when the kids had all met each other, they didn't just bring together their own friendship, but also the parents' friendship as well.
It was because of all the playdates TenTen went on, that Tenko had met Hiashi and Fugaku, and became Hiashi's assistant . . . and friend.
They couldn't blame their kids for wanting to be with their friend.. that was a Hyuga. But it also wasn't Hinata's fault that her dad was so money hungry, that her dad was stealing their money.
But at the same time, could you blame them for being angry? It's not like they wanted to move either.
They just needed money... for their families.
