Money & Some Help

It was the next day, and Sasuke came along with me on my little journey.

"Why are we here again?" he asked.

"You know why Sauske."

"But, I still don't think he would still be here."

"He probably feels that he needs to?"

Sasuke lifted a brow.

I shrugged it off and we both headed up the stairs, walked inside, and knocked on the correct apartment door.

"Who's there?"

"Neji open up!" I shouted, and almost instantly the door opened.

"What do you want Naruto, the trial is over, and there's nothing you can do now."

"Why do you insist that I can't help."

Sasuke walked passed Neji and sat on the couch that still lied in the living room. Neji glared, then I walked passed him and sat on the floor.

"What the hell!"

"We need to talk." Sasuke stared.

We watched as Neji's interest seemed to perk, then he closed the door and locked it.

"About what exactly."

"Me and Naruto decided to put our money together to help Hinata. But theres more."

"To cut a long story short, I need your help. I'm struggling with my studies and-"

He cut me off with his hand.

"You expect me to tutor you, and expect nothing in return."

I gotten up, now pissed. "How selfish could you be! I'm willing to help pay for your cousin's bail and all I'm asking is for a little help with my studies. I came to you because I thought you would be willing to help her too."

"Help her by helping you? My problem is that you could have went to anyone in your little friend group, but instead you came to bother me."

"That's not all!" Sasuke shouted. "We were hoping that you could also get a job so we could all put our money together; we all care about her so why not do something about it? We didn't want to force our friends to help with this, why stop them from having a life because of someone else's mistake?" Sasuke stated.

"Yeah, we figured that you might want to do something about her bail too, and we also came up with the possibility that you might already have a job by now. We know that you want her out as much as we do."

Neji glared with his arms folded, then sighed in defeat; relaxing his tense muscles. "You're right. I do have a job, but I was planning on paying for the bail myself, but I see you two have thought of the same thing." he paused.

"How much do you guys have."

"Sasuke has $820, and I have $150,000."

Neji stared in shock, but quickly composed it. "In that case, in a few months we should have all the money we need."

"How much do you have?" Sasuke asked.

"$4,000. I've been working since I came here, but I also had money before I started living here with Hinata."

"So..does that mean-"

"Yes. I will help you." he finally agreed. "Only so we can get Hinata out sooner."

"Okay so, depending on how long we work, including the amount of months we work, it shouldn't take us long to get Hinata out then." Neji planned.

"How much do u make Neji? I make $280 every week. " Sasuke asked then stated.

"I make $300 every two weeks."

I can tell Sasuke and Neji were thinking, but I had know clue what about, so I pretended to think too.

"So if you $280 every week, and I make $300 every too weeks..." he paused, thinking or maybe doing the math in his head. "So say if we worked for a month; within that time you would already have $1,020 and I will only have $600. That alone is $1,620. Plus the $820 you have now."

"So in total, every month we will be making $1,620, plus whatever Naruto is getting." Sasuke finished.

I just sat there nodding my head as if I had understood everything they had said. All I know is that they will be making $1,620 each month, and the only thing we need to figure out is how much I'm making.

"I know that I will get my check next Friday from Ichiraku, and my check from the market on Saturday." I stated.

"Do you at least know how much your making an hour?" Neji asked.

"Um... $12.50 from Ichiraku's and $9.00 from the market. And I work three hours each for both. I only get my check from Ichiraku's every two weeks and my check from the market every week."

"He works five days out of the week for both jobs." Sasuke included.

It took Neji a few minutes to respond, and you could tell he was thinking.

"So from adding it all up, you receive $375 every two weeks and $135 every week. In one month you should have $750 and $540, in total that's $1,290."

"So now what?" I asked.

"We need a savings plan." Sasuke inferred.

"Okay every month, with all of our money put together we should have $2,910. So that's how much we make per month... Got that Naruto?" Neji said specially to me.

"Yeah, yeah. I got it." I pouted. "So how long will it be until we get Hinata out."

"Obviously longer than just a few months." Sasuke stated. "Over a year to be exact."

My eyes widen in shock.

"Naruto, don't be so naive. Did you think she was going to be out in time for Christmas." Neji stated sarcasticly.

"So about how long then?"

Sasuke pulled out his phone, "Um.. About two years." he finished quietly.

"Oh." I said.

There was a slight pause, until Neji broke it.

"That's not..that bad. When you think about it. It could have been much longer, especially on our own."

"Yeah, it probably would've taken me more than half the time she's in there to get that amount of cash." I tried to reassure also.

"But we still need to buy food.. To you know. Not die." Sasuke reminded us.

"Right." we said in sync.

We don't have to buy that much food do we?

Then my stomach growled.

"Um.." I chucked awkwardly.

"Naruto, don't you dare waste your money on that noodle crap you call a meal."

"HEY! It's not crap! It's the best thing on this earth-"

"So anyways, we don't have to waste much on food." Neji said to Sasuke, both ignoring me.

"H-hey.."

'Oh well.'

"All we have to do, is buy less."

"Or buy cheap?" I suggested.

"What?" The other two asked in confusion.

"You said, cheap?" Neji asked.

"Um.. Yeah.? "

"As in...?" Sasuke asked.

"As in, products that cost less money?"

"So, off-brand products."

"Hey not everything that's cheap is "off-brand," Sasuke."

"Majority of the time." Neji stated.

"What's up with you guys?..oh yeah, I forgot, you two are "privilige". I'm sorry your royals, but not everyone can live up in the sky like you do." I mocked.

They rolled their eyes at me.

"C'mon, people like you act like buying things for cheap is like buying poison."

They just stared at me.

"Ugh, fine. I guess we'll just go shopping when we run out of food. Until then, I'm going to show you two how the other half lives."
