3rd Person POV (Told you)
Crack
Crack
Crack
Crack
Sounds of grass, shrubbery and plant life being crushed echoed throughout the forest as if in a cruel symphony. A dark green light took over the forest like a disease.
Labored breathing was also heard. Huffs and puffs of exhaustion accompanied it. If you listen carefully, you could hear a hint of terror.
A figure runs desperately through the redwood trees, zipping between them and jumping over fallen tree trunks with tired vigor.
The figure was a human-like person. Wearing a black shirt with the moon in all of it's glory. A jacket was placed over it with its supposed hood down. Jeans as dull as the color of the sea. Shoes as dark as midnight itself.
The figure was a male. His sea green eyes in wide panic. A look of fear ever present in his features. Sweat ran down his forehead and on to his face. His brown hair flailing around to the wind blowing onto his pale face. His cheeks redder than the reddest rose due to running.
His muscles burned with every step and jump. His clothes soaked and sticking to his well-toned body. A person observing from afar would presume that he was jogging. But, no he was not.
An evil, foreboding presence that thirsted for the young man's blood followed him. A monster. A monster that had only one thought,
Kill
The monster was gigantic. It's skin was steaming as it chased it's prey. It was almost as tall as the trees and as imposing as them. It was relentless in it's chase, never missing a step in difference to the 5 '11 man in front of it.
Every step it made shook the forest to it's very core. Crows squawk as they leave the trees in droves as each tree fell down in the path of the monster.
The man looked back as he continued on his apparently hopeless endeavour. The irises of his eyes shrink in the face of what was in front of them.
A million thoughts crashed around his mind. The most prominent was one of the woman he loved.
He gritted his teeth in a way that would break them.
His heart continued pumping blood wildly into the man's body. A deafening thump kept coming back and back again to his ears.
Thump
Thump
Thump
Thump
He never felt fear like this ever since he was young. Fear of a creature powerful enough to take down an army of soldiers in battle. Arms that could rip apart steel like paper.
The young man prayed to whoever was listening to help him. But it was useless.
The young man ran.
The young man feared.
The young man was Dipper Pines.
Dipper's POV
I have to get away.
The thing was chasing me. No matter what I do. It's still out there.
My eyes were tearing up because of the wind, blurring my vision. But I didn't care. A part of me told me to fight back.
But I can't.
I keep running and running. I would run until I drop dead or I will die at the hands of the titan.
My luck is just horrible isn't it.
D'arvit, Dipper!
Now is not the time to think about that. I am about to be killed by a monstrosity the size of a 4 story apartment or so.
Oh, I hope that nothing happened to Soos. I keep jumping and somersaulting over tree trunks like a shinobi.
It was just a few minutes but it felt like an eternity to me. All I saw was trees, grass and dirt in my way. Wait.
There! A light. I run faster, if it was possible and I heard the foot steps of the titan getting closer. I see a clearing now, maybe I can escape from the beast behind me.
I finally get out of the trees, the bright light of the sun blinding me. My eyes adjusted and I saw where I was headed. A frickin' cliff.
I plant my feet onto the ground as hard as I could sideways. My position was bent and it looked like that I was surfing on dirt.
The edge of the cliff was just a few feet away when I just started to slowed down. I got down lower and I added my hands to the ground making the back of my jeans brown with dirt. My heart rate started rising higher as I still slide towards the possible conclusion to the story of Dipper Pines, The Guy who Fell of a Cliff. Now wouldn't that be swell and cheery.
I stop with my one foot sticking out over the edge. I let out a sigh of relief as I pick myself up.
But the feeling left as fast as it arrived when I felt the booming sounds of the foot steps that the Titan made. I turn my body to the back and I could see the titan staring down at me with it's blood red eyes that seem staring straight at my soul. The sun was behind the titan's head giving it an even more darker look.
I was quivering like a scaredy cat while stared down the titan. Seconds agonizingly passed. The wind blew in my ear. The Titan was still there, motionless like a statue.
"MMMWWWUUUUAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!"
(Just imagine Titan Eren roaring except now he is laughing maniacly.)
It started laughing like a crazed psycho. The booming laughter died down a few seconds later.
"....hehehe. It's finally nice to meet the not-so-great Dipper Pines, Apprentice of the Manotaurs, The Bane of Bill, Destroyer of the Shapeshifter, Exorcist of Ghosts, The Savior of Gravity Falls and etcetera, etcetera." The titan continued speaking in a clipped British accent, using finger quotes at my 'titles'.
I was confused on how he knew me. I never even met the guy. You would definitely remember a hulking monster like that.
"You're confused, I can see that. Let me introduce myself, I am the alternate Bill. You can just call me Billy, to avoid confusion of course." 'Billy' did a bow after.
My eyes glaze over for a bit and I step back slowly.
How the Hades is he here!?!?!? He is supposed to be in the other universe not here! This is bad. Very bad. I can't take him down now.
"You might be a bit shocked, wondering why I am here. Don't worry, this is just a body that I am inhabiting from another world. I found this particular broken, little soul in a battlefield, shoulders drooping down in sadness. His comrades scattered around, ripped apart in pieces and faces in shock. Blood everywhere. He was holding a young woman with black hair in his arms, bridal style and he kept saying, "I'm sorry." So pitiful. I just couldn't resist possessing him since he had the ability to be like a titan since Titans were extinct ever since your Grunkle Ford hunted them down."
So it isn't him. But I felt a slight anger at him mentioning on how he got his body. The bastard. He takes away a man from his grief as he cried for his loved ones. How dare he!?!?
"Why are you here!?!!?!!?" I said, shouting at him.
"Oh, isn't it obvious. I want to destroy you. You have been a very irritating nuisance ever since I was stopped by your universe's Bill. I planned to kill you then revive you so you can watch me take over your world. But now, I just want you plain dead. Oh, is the great Dipper Pines scared of me? You are such a weakling, a coward and a useless human. I thought you would be a challenge." He edged towards me. But I stood there, stuck in my mind.
Dipper, why didn't you save me and the Gems.
Kid, you couldn't save you own grunkle?
Dipper, help me, help your sister!!!
Dipper, why? I thought you loved me.
Anger took over me. All I saw was red in my vision. Blind rage empowered me as the fist of Billy headed for me.
"Sword of Midnight, I ask thee of Viscerom Defeatium Enemetyius to return to thy master!"
I summoned my sword and I cut off Billy's hand in one clean swoop as I sidestep to the left to avoid being hit.
"Raaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!??!!?!"
3rd Person POV
Dipper sprinted forward and cut a sizable gash on the Titan's ankle. The demon possessed monster roared in pain as it clutched what used to be an arm with a hand.
Dipper, feeling adrenaline seeping in his veins for the upcoming battle, readied his sword, pointing at the titan. Ready, for any attacks.
"YOU'LL PAY FOR THAT!" Billy screamed as his hand regenerated along with his ankle wound.
Billy spun around and went to land a fist on Dipper. Dipper rolled to the left, grunting in remembrance of the titan's healing factor abilities. Billy grabbed a large tree and uprooted it. He now had a large club in his hand that he tried to crush Dipper with right of the bat.
Despite the size difference, Dipper still had enough speed to keep himself distanced from the Titan as he jumped back, the massive club smashing the ground where he had been standing. Dipper knew he needed to be patient, one mistake could end up getting him killed. He had training from the Gems but he wondered whether or not it could withstand the strength of a Titan if not the strength of a dream demon.
The Titan Billy chased him around, his speed was quick but Dipper had far more agility, able to avoid the attacks which only made the Titan angrier. The more he missed, the more the Titan's speed increased, becoming furious the human refused to stand and fight him in hand to hand combat.
As Billy brought down his club again, Dipper lunged forward, finding his opening as his blade slid against the monster's thigh, opening up a gash that leaked red blood.
Despite the small victory, things quickly turned bad. Billy spun around, backhanding Dipper as he tried to sprint away. The strike was powerful, more powerful than Dipper ever felt as he was sent flying where he crashed head first into the trunk of a redwood tree.
His vision blurred a bit but he managed to climb to his feet, pushing himself off the tree as Billy stalked towards him. Dipper tried to slip past him but the Titan was too quick, shoving him back against the tree before a powerful fist crashed into his his chest, cracking one of his ribs in half.
Dipper couldn't breathe. The punch pushed every bit of oxygen out of his body. He slumped back against the tree only to have another fist driven into his chest again. Dipper's vision blurred a bit but he managed to see the Titan's club raised before he rolled forward , the weapon crashing into the tree as Dipper stumbled forward once on his feet again only to fall to the ground, still disorientated from the Titan's fists.
Dipper tried pulling himself up but a hard kick to the stomach sent him hurtling a few feet along the grass floor.
"Perhaps I should kill your little friend first so you can watch before I give you a matching fate." He said turning to where Soos was hiding behind a tree. Dipper's eyes widened in fear and he started shaking.
Dipper tried to stand up but he fell again and watched helplessly as he saw the Titan grab Soos from behind the tree and as time slowed for him, Billy threw Soos over the cliff.
Dipper stood up again and ran towards the cliff. He slid down and he looked over the cliff. Dipper saw Soos hanging onto a branch but his grip was slipping.
Dipper reached out a hand to Soos in hopes of saving him.
"Take my hand!"
"I, I can't."
Dipper was frantic now. Both of them tried to reached toward each other. They were just inches closer.
Crack
The branch broke off.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!"
Dipper was shocked as he saw his longtime friend fall toward the dark, foggy abyss below, still holding the branch and staring at Dipper.
"Well, well, well. You couldn't save your little friend. One less soul in this wretched world."
Then, as if a second wind seemed to find him, he climbed to his feet, something Billy didn't seem to notice. He ran at the Titan. Dipper made to impale the Titan but Billy batted the blade away with his club a the last second, laughing. Despite the failed attack, Dipper's new found energy remained. He attacked again, this time more careful, with precisely aimed attacks Billy had trouble defending against. Billy backed up, struggling to defend himself from the onslaught of attacks Dipper was unleashing. The guardian managed to feint an attack at his chest before driving his blade now alight with dark fire through the thigh of the Titan.
Billy roared in pain and stumbled back, the sword in his leg as Dipper lost his grip. The Titan ripped the weapon from his leg and flung it behind him, a look of rage on his face.
"Now you die, boy."
Midnight appeared in Dipper's hand through flight but the Titan did not seemed surprised. Dipper hurled it at the demon but Billy batted it aside with his club, sending the flaming weapon flying into a grove of trees where they exploded into splinters when the weapon hit them.
Billy charged again, bringing his weapon down as Dipper had to dive to the side to avoid being crushed. Before he could recover, a large foot pinned him to the ground as Billy stood over him, his club raised to finish Dipper off.
Dipper held out his hand desperately. Just as the Titan began to bring down his makeshift weapon, Midnight flew back into Dipper's grasp where he brought it down into the Titan's calf, sending crashing to the ground. Dipper rolled over and onto his knees and threw the sword at Billy as he tried to climb back to his feet. Midnight caught the Titan in the chest and sent him flying a few feet back, destroying trees in the process.
Dipper dragged himself to his feet, Midnight back in his hand as he felt his energy rise a bit wielding it. He looked up to find the Titan already back on his feet, a Midnight sized wound in his chest, cauterized by the fire of Midnight.
Before Dipper could react, Billy roared and slammed his club into the ground, the entire forest shaking from the power he unleashed.
Dipper stumbled and fell to the ground. Billy didn't hesitate, his movements just a blur as he stood over the male guardian. As he brought down his, Dipper swung Midnight, knocking the weapon out of the Titan's hand. He tried to attack again but Billy caught his arm with his left hand before his right slammed into Dipper's forearm with a sickening crunch. His skin was durable like the Gems but the snap of his bones was heard throughout the forest as Midnight fell from his grasp. A bloodcurdling scream from Dipper came after. Billy grabbed Dipper by the body and lifted him clear off the ground, bringing him up so the two were face to face.
"Let's see if you can survive while I choke you to death and eat you at the same time."
Billy squeezed his hand tightly around Dipper's torso as he brought Dipper nearer to his mouth. He kicked wildly, kicking the titan in hand and anywhere else he could reach but Billy's grip never faltered as Dipper's struggling movements became more frantic. The lack of air was sending him into a panic. He held out his hand but the Titan used his free hand to bat Midnight away before it coul reach him.
"This is your end, Pines."
Dipper's vision began to darken and he felt himself losing consciousness. He slammed his foot into the Titan's hand one last time but it had no effect. He realized this was it. He was going to die. Nothing was going to save him now. He had failed, failed to protect the world like he was supposed to, failed to protect his friends and Pacifica like he had promised.
He saw in his mind, tears falling from Pacifica's eyes, tears that simply didn't belong there. Not on her. She didn't cry, it wasn't who she was. It was one of the reason's he loved her. She had a difficult life but instead of letting it make her weaker, it only made her stronger. Now, she was stuck in a world going all to Hel, with no hope of survival because he had failed.
Something about seeing her cry sent a shock, a small jolt of electricity coursing through his body as his darkened vision suddenly cleared again. He slammed his fist into the inside of the Titan's mouth, causing his grip to falter momentarily, and giving him all he needed.
Dipper's leg went to the Titan's chest giving him the foothold he needed to push himself up as he jumped high and Midnight flew back into his hand. He raised Midnight above his head and dark fire erupted from the sword taking the shape of the blade making Midnight seem bigger. He brought it down and decapitated the Titan's head.
He dropped down and landed on his feet. He looked up with a stern face at the Titan's shocked face. The head fell first right in front of Dipper but he didn't flinch. The body soon followed after landing on it's back.
Dipper started walking away, with unknowingly a sickly smile on his face, when he heard the voice of someone moaning weakly. He looked back and was shocked to see a person climb out of the head. Or at least half of the person. Dipper was shocked.
He ran over to the person and he knelt next to him. He lifted him up and turned him over. He saw the person's features correctly. The person was about the same age of Dipper. He had dark brown hair and green eyes. He was smiling a pained smile with blood leaking out of his mouth and his bottom which was his torso cut off from his lower body.
Taking on final breath, the young man said,
"Thank you."
Then, the life went out of him.
Dipper stood up in silence and went over to a redwood tree. He slid down with his back to the tree, sitting on the ground. He hugged his knees closer to his body. His head down and he started crying.
A/N: That's the end of this chapter. Sorry for making it a bit dark. Here's my early Christmas present to you guys. Made it extra long too and Yes! I killed Soos! Please comment.
