If ever the sun shines and you look at it
It's meant for you it's meant to make you smile

I've only ever sat in the shade so I never knew the sun would decide to shine on me too

So just for a while I was it's Roman  dial waiting for the night's shadow

But the moon wouldn't do I needed the sun too like a sunflower In a field
The only star to look at a passing flower withering hour by hour

Yet I won't look away I won't flee to know now that the sun shined for me
