It's been about a week, and everyone has warmed up to the twins.

Or, mostly everyone...

Kacchan is still sore about losing to Arnoux, and Todoroki seems suspicious of them, but everyone else treats them like they would anyone else.

Of course, their introduction to Class B could've gone a lot better...

What happened?

Well...

"What's this?! Class A has two new students, that don't even know what quirks are?!"

Uh... Monoma happened....

"Today we're doing teamwork. Everyone change and head out." Aizawa says. We all nod, and go to change.

I walk out of the change room, and start to walk to the field, but something in the corner of my eye...

Ameri and Arnoux, in a corner whispering to each other.

I walk a bit closer, within earshot.

"...It's getting worse Ameri, I can't do these fights anymore! I don't want it to happen..." Arnoux sounds... panicked, and on the verge of tears.

"Hey... don't worry about it... it won't happen, if it's that big of a deal, ask Mr Aizawa if you can sit out." Ameri says gently, comforting Arnoux?

"But, that'll make me look weak! Everyone here is strong, I don't want to sit out just because of my stupid eyes for a reason I can't even explain!"

His eyes? So it really isn't a medical condition...

I move a bit closer.

"Then... wait, whose there?"

Did he see me?

"I can smell you Midoriya, you aren't fooling us." Ameri says.

"Uh, hi!" I pop out of my hiding spot nervously.

Arnoux quickly starts rubbing his eyes. He blinks a couple times, and closes them.

"Is everything okay? I thought I heard crying.." I trail off, wondering if they know I was eavesdropping.

"It's nothing..." Arnoux mutters, "we should get going."

He starts walking away. Ameri and I follow.

"For the record..." Ameri says quietly, "it's rude to eavesdrop on private conversations. Don't tell anyone anything you heard."

Whether that was a threat or a plead, I couldn't tell.

But it's definitely not something I'm keeping quiet about.

At least not to Mr Aizawa.

Shoto (Todoroki aka best boi)

Teams were made by drawing lots. These were the teams.

A. Midoriya and Ameri
B. Iida and Uraraka
C. Bakugo and Kirishima
D. Tokoyami and Ojiro
E. Me and Arnoux
F. Kaminari and Ashido
G. Yaoyorozu and Jiro
H. Hagakure and Mineta
I. Asui and Shoji
J. Ayoama and Sero
K. Koda and Sato

The werewolves aren't paired together... hmm...

I approach Arnoux, Ameri and Midoriya are next to him, though Midoriya looks a little bit shaken.

"Hey Todoroki!" Midoriya is the first to notice me.

"Hello Midoriya," I nod, "I believe Lycan, you're my partner for this exercise." I look at the twins. They glance at each other.

"Which one of us?" They ask in sync. I'm a bit miffed, wondering if they somehow didn't hear Mr Aizawa.

Then they burst our laughing together.

"We're kidding, don't look so surprised!" Arnoux laughs, "Just call us by our first names, it's easier for all of us."

"Right." I nod.

"Here are the matchups. This will be similar to your indoor battle training, however this time, the fight doesn't end until the entirety of one team is captured." Aizawa says, "The first battle is in five minutes. You can go anywhere, as long as you don't leave school grounds. If I find out you've disrupted any classes, there will be serious consequences."

I scan the list, bottom to top, looking for my team.

Arnoux and I are up first.

Against Ameri and Midoriya.

Midoriya gulps when I look at him.

Ameri and Arnoux are staring at each other. Tension rising.

Then, they both smile, shaking hands.

"Good luck Ameri, try not to lose to badly to me, alright?" Arnoux says.

"You gotta win first, Arnoux." Ameri replies.

Then they let go and, and join their partners. Arnoux comes up to me.

"Shall we strategize?" I ask.

"We have 3 minutes and 30 seconds," Arnoux says, "at the very least, I'll tell you what you need to look out for most from Ameri, and you do the same for Midoriya."

I nod.

"Okay, starting with Midoriya... you've seen what he can do, I'm sure. His punches are deadly, he's fast, and he's good at coming up with last-minute plans on the spot." I say, "But if he pushes himself too much, his body breaks down."

"Alright, so he's better in close quarters, direct attacks... Ameri though... keep your senses alert, Ameri is fast and good at sneaking up on you. He can also-"

Arnoux is cut off by Mr Aizawa.

"Five minutes is up. Begin."

Everyone immediately leaves, leaving Arnoux and I facing Ameri and Midoriya.

Wasting no time, Midoriya takes off towards us with Ameri next to him.

"So much for the first strike. Run!" Arnoux exclaims, grabbing my sleeve.

I'm a bit ashamed to say I didn't argue.

Kaiya

"Running? Tch, cowards." Bakugo crosses his arms.

"Yeah, Todoroki's beaten Midoriya before, and Arnoux should know how to beat his own brother. Right?" Kirishima glances.

"Maybe, I think it's the combination their worried about." I say.

"What does that mean?" Ashido asks.

"Ameri... has a unique fighting style. He tends to make use of all his surroundings, no matter where they are. Which can be a bad thing for Todoroki, because his quirk is almost guaranteed to change the landscape." I explain, "No matter how he uses it, he's pretty much just creating more opportunities for Ameri. Especially with the ice. Arnoux on the other hand, relies on quick thinking and brute force. Not sneak attacks and stamina like Ameri."

"So how do you suggest they win?" Tsuyu asks.

"Splitting up, and hoping Ameri goes after Arnoux." I say.

"Hey, look! They're heading to the dorms!" Kaminari exclaims.

(I DON'T CARE IF THIS IS BEFORE THE DORMS JUST PRETEND IT ISN'T)

"Tch, idiots." Bakugo grumbles.

"Seems smart to me." Uraraka retorts.

"I never thought I'd say this," Yaoyorozu says, "but Bakugo is right. Heading to the school might limit Midoriya, but it also limits Arnoux and Todoroki, and gives Ameri an advantage."

"How is that?" Ojiro asks.

"She said, Ameri relies on stamina and sneak attacks more then anything else. He uses the environment to his advantage. The school is a maze of hallways. This would limit Midoriya, for use of brute force, Arnoux for the same reason, and Todoroki, for not being able to use his quirk without fear of hurting someone. Ameri on the other hand, could use his keen senses to track Todoroki and Arnoux down, and sneak up on them." Tokoyami explains, "It's really quite simple."

"That's not all, but the basics, yeah..." I mutter.

"What else is there?" Jiro asks.

"Arnoux has difficulty fighting in groups... the school is filled with people, and if he accidently hurts anyone, it could be bad." I mutter.

He has his bandanna, right?

He should, Ameri should've given it to him.

And if he didn't?

Then he better stay out of the building.

Arnoux

I feel a rush of power to my eyes, and stumble. I don't know if I'll ever get to use the feeling.

"Are you okay?" Todoroki asks.

"Yeah, just lost my balance." I say, closing my eyes and reaching into my pocket. I pull my bandanna out, and tie it on.

"Why are you putting that on? It'll limit your sight." Todoroki says.

"I can see just fine," I reply, a bit sharply, "besides, I still have my other senses."

He doesn't reply. Just looks behind us. I look around.

We're in the dorm area, just outside our dorm building.

"Shit," I grumble, "we should get out of here." I say.

"We can't. Ameri and Midoriya are behind us." He replies matter-of-factly.

"Did I say we go back?" I ask, smiling a bit.

I hear something suddenly.

"Midoriya! I caught their scent!" It's Ameri.

"They're coming," I say, "get on my back."

He blinks. I realize how weird that sounded.

"Just-" I sigh, "Sorry, that sounded wrong. Just do it, and close your eyes."

He just nods, and I kneel down. He climbs on. Not that heavy, thankfully.

"Found them!" Ameri yells, running towards us. I take off my bandanna.

"Hold on!" I exclaim, crouching down.

I recently learned how to do this, so...

With a snarl, fur starts growing all over me, and I increase in size.

Seconds later, I'm a giant wolf.

"Holy- look out!" Ameri yells, pushing Midoriya down as I take a running leap over the fence, landing on the other side outside the dorm area. 

It's a bit of a shaky landing honestly, especially since I accidently let Todoroki fall off.

I change back to a human, and put the bandanna back on.

"Sorry! You okay?" I ask, helping him stand.

"I'm fine. That's quite a trick you got." He says, opening his eyes.

"Thanks, it's... a work in progress." I admit.

"Two can play at that game!" I hear Ameri yell, and seconds later, another giant wolf is flying over the fence, with Broccoli Boy on top.

They have the same shaky landing though.

"Quick, while their disoriented." Todoroki says, "I'll take your brother."

I nod, and we run towards our targets.

As soon as Midoriya stands up, I tackle him, pushing him down again, before jumping off. He yelps, and kicks upwards, managing to knock me back. I back away, as he stands up, green light starting to spark around him.

"You're pretty good." He says, "But I won't lose."

"Good luck with that." I reply.

Then I charge.

My eyes widen as Arnoux charges towards me.

So fast... I think, before just managing to dodge. He wastes no time, pivoting and aiming a kick. I grab his leg and pull him off balance. He stumbles, and I aim a punch to him. He ducks, and springs up, on top of me.

Before I know it, Arnoux has ne pinned on the ground.

A whistle sounds.

"Match over. It's a tie." Mr Aizawa says.

I'm confused, until I see Ameri and Todoroki.

Todoroki was pinned down, by Ameri.

There's an awkward silence.

Arnoux starts laughing for some reason. He gets off me, and helps me up.

"Why am I surprised," he laughs, "that was fun."

"What's so funny?" I ask.

"The fact that Ameri pinned Todoroki down the same time I pinned you." He laughs, "It's just so ironic to me."

Well, I guess if you look at it from his point of view it would be pretty funny.

I get a bold, but probably stupid, idea suddenly.

"Hey..." I mutter, "I overheard your conversation with Ameri this morning."

He turns pale.

"All of it?" He asks nervously.

"Just the end." I admit, "Is something wrong with your eyes?"

"No." He says quickly and firmly, almost too quickly.

"Are you sure? You weren't wearing that bandanna when we started." I say.

"I'm fine!" He snaps, mood changing completely, "And don't tell anyone anything you heard!"

I hesitate, before replying.

"What's it?" I ask.

"Huh?" He tilts his head.

"You said you don't want it to happen." I explain, "What do you not want to happen?"

He sighs.

"You certainly are nosy," he grumbles, "if you really want to know, try talking to my sisters."

"Hey, Arnoux! Come on, it's the second groups turn!" Ameri calls, waving.

"Coming!" Arnoux calls backs, starting over.

"Sisters? Who-"

"Figure it out." He interrupts me.

Then he runs off, pausing to tell Ameri something, before leaving.

Suspicious.

Sisters... hmm...

Maybe I should talk to his parents.
