Priya

I looked over at a sleeping Jamil and sighed. His mouth was slightly opened and I heard the light snore from his slightly blocked nose. I nudged him again but he only grunted.

"What?"

"Can we please go and watch the sunrise now?"

"No. Don't wake me up." He grunted again as he turned around. I nudged him again and he groaned. "The fuck is wrong with you, Priya? I swear to God if you start all this sunset sunrise bullshit thing, I'm gonna make sure that I sleep in a different room every night and lock it so you don't come and wake me up for this fucking bullshit."

I let out a sigh as I got off the bed. "I'm sorry for disturbing you." God he was so annoying. I groaned as I made my way to the balcony, pulling a chair up right to the wall. I put my feet up on the table as I scanned the dark sky. Sunrise wasn't until another two hours but I wanted to see it all from the beginning. I knew Jamil wasn't really a touchy guy since he was so used to that from his first wife, so I had to be patient. He was doing a good job anyways as he already always had his arms around me but it things like these that I wanted to do with him. I remember just sitting in my garden, a cup of coffee in my hand as I was stared up at the sky but now I wanted someone with me to do those things with.

I must have been sitting there for those two hours because I saw the sun start to rise. I watched with a small smile, occasionally frowning at the empty seat beside me. I staggered back into the room to find Jamil still sleeping. When I shut the door he jumped up, looking around.

"Sorry, it's just me." He groaned and stood up, walking over to me. "Where are you going?"

"Come, let's go and watch the sunset before it finishes," he said half asleep. I let out a small laugh as I put a hand on his cheek.

"It's over babe. I just watched it." His eyebrows furrowed as he looked at my face.

"I'm sorry. I promise you we will watch sunset tonight. And I know we leave before sunrise tomorrow, but I will make sure we will watch it somehow. I promise." I smiled at him before leaning up and giving him a kiss. His hands stayed by his side for a while before I picked them up and put them on my waist. "Sorry...I'm just so used to not-"

"It's fine, Jamil. Take your time." He gave me a small smile as he raised his hand to my cheek.

"Thank you for understanding."

"Hey, I said it was fine." He put his hands back on my waist as he kissed me again. "Since you're awake, can we go for a walk along the beach?" I looked down at his feet, hoping he wouldn't say no. I felt his finger at the bottom of my chin so I looked up at his smiling face.

"I think I'd like that very much. Nothing like walking down the beach hand in hand with my beautiful wife whilst telling her how happy she makes me."

"Really? We can go?"

"Of course, Priya. Get ready and we'll go." I kissed his cheek as I grinned. Great, we were getting somewhere.

I skipped into the bathroom with my clothes in my hands. By the time I got out, I saw Jamil pulling the t-shirt over his body. He smiled at me as I walked over to him. "You got a little something in your hair," I whispered as I took out the black fluff. He suddenly pulled me into his arms, bringing our faces close together. He let our lips touch briefly and I sighed as he ran a hand through my open hair.

"You look beautiful," he whispered against my ear. I felt myself blushing as I looked up at him. "You ready to go?"

"I just need to put my scarf on. Give me two minutes." He sat on the corner of the large bed as I put my scarf loosely around my head. He lay flat on the bed, his hands behind his head. "Come on, Jamil," I whined. He chuckled and closed his eyes, faking a snore. I groaned as I crawled on top of him. "If you don't get up I will start jumping on you."

"Oh, so early in the morning? Go ahead I don't mind." I frowned at his immaturity. Looks like I had four children now. I stood up, grabbed my phone and camera and walked out the room. If he was going to be childish, then so can I.

Jamil

My eyes snapped open once I heard the door open and close. I scanned the empty room before grabbing my wallet and phone and rushing out the room. I spotted Priya down the hall getting into the lift. She looked up at me and with a smirk, she gave me the finger.

"Get your own fucking lift. If you don't get down to the bottom before me, you don't get to touch me for two weeks," she rushed out before the doors closed. I ended up staring at the closed metal doors for a few seconds before I made a run for the stairs. The lift was going up so that gave me a few extra seconds. Every floor that I went to, I went into the floor and pressed the button. This stupid woman was making me run down twenty flights of stairs so I needed something to slow her down. By the time I got to the bottom, I felt like my legs were jelly. I groaned as I sat down on the floor. I closed my eyes as I breathed heavily. With my back flat against the tiled floor, I let out another groan. The stares from people didn't matter because I was too damn tired.

I heard a giggle and smiled to myself at the sound. I loved hearing her laugh. "Didn't think you would actually do it."

"Damn, you were joking about the two weeks weren't you?" I opened my eyes to see a hand out in front of me. I took her hand but made no move to get up. I just ran down twenty flights of stairs for nothing.

"Indeed. You think I'm gonna stay away from you for two weeks? Mate, I have needs too." I laughed to myself as I stood up and wrapped my arms around her. I kissed her softly and then pulled away to cup her cheeks.

"I think I like the sound of that," I said with a smirk. She rolled her eyes and then pushed my hands off her. I held her hand as we both walked out the hotel. "You know what?" She hummed as she looked at me. We stopped so we could take off our shoes as we would be walking along the sandy beach. "As much as I loved this honeymoon with you for a week, I really can't wait to go home to sleepless nights, nappies, stressful mornings and grumpy children." She laughed as she wrapped her arms around my shoulder.

"I know what you mean. I miss the kids." I kissed the top of her head as we started to walk along the ocean. She gasped as the tide came in and made contact with her feet. I tightened my arm around her waist with a laugh. "The water is freezing, Jamil," she screeched. I took the camera off her and ran back to the safety of the dry sand. She screamed at me to come back and help her because she was scared to move incase she got swept up by the sea and 'get eaten by the sharks'. Her words not mine. After I was content with the amount of pictures I took, I swept her up into my arms and began to walk down the beach to the benches.

I sat down with her still around me. She was on my lap and I expected her to get off but she only buried her head into my shoulder with a sigh. "Why did you marry me, Priya?"

"Because I like you." I played with her fingers as I looked at the sea. "I don't know but I knew you were the one," she whispered. "Sometimes I wish I had met you earlier and that maybe we would have lived happily since then but then I realised how different we were."

I kissed her head and sighed. "I like it this way. I know what I want now and who I want to spend the rest of my life with." I looked down at her with a smile. "And I am most certain it's you," I whispered. "By the way, I'm mad at you for making me run down those stairs."

"Hey, I didn't think you would. But now I know that I'm worth something for you."

"Shut up. You're worth everything; don't think otherwise." She tightened her arms around me and I leaned back with a sigh. It stayed quiet for a few minutes as we took in the beauty of the ocean. I was truly going to miss waking up to the view of the ocean. I looked down at Priya who was looking up at me with a smile. "What is it?"

She shook her head before giving me a kiss. I put a hand on her cheek, smiling. "Do I make you happy, Jamil?" I stopped smiling at her.

"What stupid question is that?" She shrugged her shoulders. "Priya, you must be crazy to think you don't make me happy. I've always wanted a relationship like this; where I'm comfortable with the other person to talk about nothing and everything, someone who I can fool around with and someone who can make me smile throughout the day. And I know I'm not the most romantic but just give me some time and I swear to you I will-"

"Jamil, it was a yes or no answer," she said with a laugh. I rolled my eyes as I pulled her closer to me. She eventually sat cross legged on my lap, leaning her forehead against mine. "Do you want children?" she asked in a small voice.

I put a hand on her waist and stroked her cheek with the other. "We already have children."

"You know what I mean."

"Do you want to?"

"What if I was already pregnant?" My eyes widened in shock. Wow, that was quick. She bit her lip as she looked at me. I smiled at the thought of us having a baby and another baby in the house.

"Really?"

"No. It was just a theory." I sighed as I closed my eyes. "I'm sorry..."

"You got me happy there for a second. But I honestly do think we need some time for ourselves. Not that I don't mind if you're pregnant but I truly think it will be best for the both of us to get our space together- some alone time and then settle down properly, you know?"

"I'm getting old, Jamil. I can feel my body getting weaker every year and I'm almost twenty- seven."

"So you're basically saying you want a baby now?"

"Yes. Give me a baby now," she said with a pout. "I don't want to be all old when I pick up my children from school."

"Nice. You just offered to do the school runs for the next few years." She sighed, closing her eyes. "So you really think we're ready for another child now?" She grinned as she leaned down to give me a kiss. "I take that as a yes?"

"Please, Jamil. I want another baby." She pouted again and I sighed. Another baby? Were we really ready for that?

"Priya...I really think that we need some time to settle down together. I don't want to rush into anything and it not work out."

"Jamil, please! If this was an arranged marriage we would have been married the first week we met and expected to be having a baby already. We lived our life, we had our children and now I think it's time for the both of us to have another child. I always wanted four children and if I do, this is the easy way."

"Can I think about this?"

"Fine..."

I sat down beside Priya who was staring out the window. She put her head down on my shoulder as she closed her eyes. I looked around the waiting area and saw it dotted with a few people here and then. We still had four hours till our flight since it got delayed. Like an idiot, I didn't check for any delays beforehand so here we were, sitting down and watching the sunrise. I kissed the top of her head as I saw her open her eyes.

"You're missing the sunrise, babe."

"I'm watching it," she said with a yawn. I smiled to myself as I looked ahead. I took her hand in mine, giving it a soft squeeze. "I'm not comfortable." She shuffled in her seat before standing up. Just as I was about to ask her on what she was doing, she pushed my arms to the side and sat on my lap. I put my arms around her with a laugh. She yawned again and put her head on my chest. "I'm gonna go to sleep now, okay?"

"Okay. You want your headphones?"

"Yes please." I secured one arm around her as I reached into the bag with my other. I untangled it for her before attaching it to her phone. "Thank you," she whispered as she gave me a short kiss. "For everything."

"I did nothing. But take your nap now, okay? I don't need you being all grumpy on the way home."

"I'm gonna miss Malaysia," she said as she put her head back onto my chest. "Goodnight, Jamil."

"Goodnight."

After a few minutes, she fell asleep. I kissed the top of her head before resting my head on top of hers. My eyes went to the wedding ring on her finger and I smiled when I remembered how happy she got once I gave it to her. She kept on thanking me for the day that I gave it to her. Good thing she liked it because I slightly went out my budget for it. Amma said she would pay the money that went over but I insisted on doing it myself.

I looked up at the man who sat down beside us with a little girl glued to his legs. I smiled at her and she smiled back, giving me a small wave. She sat down on the seat right next to me. Her legs dangled from the side as she swung it back and forth.

"Morning," the man said as he handed a sandwich to the little girl. "Would you like one?"

"No it's okay, thank you. I have my own sandwich."

"A doughnut?" I looked at the packet of doughnuts in front of me and groaned.

"Yes, thank you." I picked one up and he smiled at me. "Just don't tell the wife," I said with a laugh. He laughed as he sat down beside the little girl. "Is she you daughter?"

"No! She's my little sister." I nervously laughed as I looked between them. "It's okay, people get mistaken all the time. We got separated years ago- when she was baby so I've been looking for her all this time."

"Aw, I'm sorry to hear that. I'm glad you two have found each other now."

"So am I. Going back to London and going to finish my UNI so I can live to bring her up. Isn't that right Ven?" She continued to eat her sandwich, not listening to a word we were saying.

We both continued to talk for the next three hours. Mostly about what he wanted to do in the future or about something one of the kids did. From what I found out, he had a girlfriend back in London who was about ten years older than him so she would look after his sister whenever he was working or at UNI. I briefly went into my life about Priya being my second wife but not so much that I told him why I got divorced in the first place. When I heard the announcement again, I shook Priya softly so she could wake up. I heard her groan and she dropped her legs to the floor as she stretched.

"Morning," she whispered. Once she saw the people in front of us, she blushed and hid her face into the crook of my neck. I chuckled as I waved to the siblings who were joining the growing line. It looked like not that many were here still considering there was still over an hour to go but they opened up the gate anyways.

Since Priya was cold and her jacket was in the luggage, I shook mine off and put it around her. It reminded me of the first day that we met and went out to speak. I shook the thought away and held her hand as I pulled out luggages to the line. It was kind of easy really because we managed to pack everything into one huge luggage and a medium one. The small one was one that we got here for gifts and to take as a hand luggage on the plane. Of course she was pulling the small one.

We stood in silence and only spoke when we were seated on the plane. She took the window seat since I didn't like flying and looking over at the sky didn't really help.

"I can't sit on your lap now," she said with a frown. I leaned back in my seat with a laugh as she put her head on my shoulder. "I can already feel the jet lag getting to me."

"Go back to sleep, beautiful. I'll wake you up when we are landing."

Priya

I picked my head up to look across the kids and lay my eyes on Jamil who was smiling my way. I smiled back and extended my arm out to reach his. I heard him laugh as he held my hand. Just as I was about to say something, Mariam started crying.

"I'll get her," I whispered as I rolled out of bed. As soon as we came home, all the kids did was stay glued to us to which I have no problem with because I missed them so much over the last week. Tariq had made himself welcome in our room, telling us that he was going to sleep next to us tonight. After that, he commanded Said to sleep in the same bed because he wanted us to sleep as a family. To be honest, the only reason why we all fit was because Jamil had a king size bed.

I smiled down at Mariam as she cuddled into my arm. I felt Jamil's hands on my waist and I turned around to face him.

"Priya, look at us," he whispered. He put one hand on my cheek, his thumb softly grazing over my face. "This is our small family. This is enough for me for now. You guys are all I need right now and I don't need anything else. I think that we should raise these idiots first and see then if there is anything missing. I finally have someone who makes me happy and I don't want to lose her by rushing into things." I slowly nodded my head understanding where he was coming from. I smiled at him and then looked back at Mariam.

"I'm sorry for bugging you about it. But I know what you mean- we should focus on the children we have now and maybe one day we will add to the family."

"Just not yet." I nodded my head and he dropped his hands from my body. I frowned at that because it just seemed as though he wanted to persuade me not to have more kids. It seemed I thought too fast because he went behind me, wrapping his arms around me. "One day we will standing here like this with another baby in your arms," he whispered in my ear. I looked into the mirror and smiled. So he did want children. "Can't wait for that day."

He kissed my shoulder before tightening his arms around my waist. "Jamil..." He looked at me through the mirror, smiling at me. I love you. "Nothing." He furrowed his eyebrows for a few seconds before smiling again.

"I'm really happy right now. I got the kids back and I have you. I know I keep telling you this, but you make me really happy. You make me feel as though everything is going to fine as long as you're with me. You make me feel free and just...you make me comfortable to be able to be my true self."

I wish I could tell him how I really felt but I knew it was way too early. I knew he wouldn't feel the same way and if he did say it back, I was scared it was the same reason why he said it to his first wife. So now I had to wait and find the right time to tell him. He didn't make it easy as he always told him how happy I make him everyday. But he didn't understand whenever I say how happy he makes me. He made me believe in myself again- making me realise that my past can be forgiven and that I can move on and be happy again. And here I was, a loving husband, three kids and a supporting family.

"Hey, you drifted off." I focussed on the hand waving in front of me and groaned. I hated when he did that because it gave me a headache. "Sorry," he whispered into my neck. I finally focussed on him and saw the tired smile on his face. "I was asking what movie shall we go and watch downstairs?"

"Movie? At four in the morning?"

"Why not? I'm jet lagged and now that I woke up, I won't be able to go to sleep." He then pinched Mariam's cheek and as expected, she giggled. "And our princess needs to eat something."

"Sounds good," I whispered.

* * *

I jerked up, tightening my arms around Mariam only to realise that she wasn't in my arms. I quickly looked around the sofa and then slowly set my gaze on the floor. Please don't let her be on the floor. I sighed in relief when I saw nothing on the floor. Jamil groaned in his sleep and tightened his arms around me. I lay flat on his chest as I thought of where she could have went.

"Oh, you're up," Amma said as she came in. She had a huge smile on her face as she looked at the both of us. I felt my face burn as I tried to get away from Jamil's grip. "I dropped the kids off to school and I took Mariam with me. I fed her breakfast just now and she's just playing in her play cot."

"Oh, I'm so sorry, Amma. We were meant to take the kids to school and-"

"Don't be silly." While she spoke, I continued trying to get out of Jamil's grip but it's like the more I tried, the more tighter it got.

"Stop moving," he murmered. "Just let me hold you before the kids wake up."

"Jamil!" I hissed. "Amma is here." His eyes widened as he looked around the room. His sight settled on an amused Amma who was standing there in the centre of the room. "Let me go." He removed his hands from my waist and slowly sat up.

"Morning Amma," he groaned. "Where are the kids?"

"School- getting educated." He rolled his eyes before standing up and walking out the room. "You want some breakfast?"

"I'll make it. You can sit and relax-"

"No, don't be silly. This is the first morning you have spent in this house as my daughter-in-law so I am making you breakfast." Jamil came back into the room, holding Mariam in his arms.

"You never make me breakfast. I'm your son and I just came back from my honeymoon so I deserve-"

"Shut up, Jamil." He narrowed his eyes at her before walking out the room. I quietly laughed to myself as I looked between them. I loved their relationship. "So go and get freshened up and I will make breakfast for you both. And then you can tell me more about Malaysia."

"I don't have a choice do I?"

"Not really."
