22-Different

//Aneel

I was freaking out. Not even, I was having a heart attack. I was just gonna put the chicken into the oven but did I really want to? What if I didn't get the marinade right and she doesn't like it? And plus, I usually left it overnight so there was more flavour but now it won't be so special. And the soup! I glanced at the pot that had the soup bubbling. Did that-

"Aneel, you okay?" Aisha cut into my thoughts with a question. She put a hand on my shoulder and smiled. "You kinda looked like you were having a panic attack."

I smiled back, reassuring her I was fine. "Thanks, babe. I'm fine though. Just freaking out about dinner." I pushed her back a little and opened the oven door. With a final sigh, I put the chicken in and closed the door. Aisha giggled and wrapped her arms around me. She put her chin on my chest as she looked up at me. "What's so funny?" I kissed the top of her head and she smiled. She shook her head with another giggle.

"You look nice like this." Looking down, I noticed my apron and the cloth draped over my shoulder. I raised my eyebrow. Was she serious? "Trust me. Plus, those muscles help a lot," she said with a wink. I smirked and ran a hand up her arm.

"So I'm getting complimented now, am I? My goodness, keep coming out your shell, I love it." She playfully punched my shoulder with a giggle. "So I really look good like this?"

She nodded her head. Aisha lifted up her arm and slowly ran her hand through my hair. "Like I said, you look good in anything," she whispered. I pulled her in closer, giving her a kiss. "Aneel, we need to pray. it's almost time." I nodded my head and gave her one more kiss.

---

"This is your fault," I whispered into Aisha's ear. I wrapped my arms around her waist and smirked. "Why do you always sidetrack me?" She gasped and looked up at me.

"Why do you always blame me? It's you that makes the first move."

"Because who wouldn't want to make the first on you? You're so damn beautiful and it's so hard to not stay in this bedroom all day with you. Trust me, babes, if I could, I would stay in here all day." She rolled her eyes and sat up. "Let me just turn the chicken back on," I said before giving her a kiss. I got off the bed and she pulled my arm back. She got up and walked with me to the kitchen.

Once everything was back on, I looked back at Aisha who was clipping her hair up. She smiled at me and dropped her hands into her lap. "Hey."

"You're wearing my shirt." She looked down and frowned.

"You told me to wear it." I looked down at her legs and saw them bare. Damn her legs were great.

"Go and put clothes on," I said. She slowly stood up with a frown, not even looking at me. I sighed when I realised that came out harsh. This girl didn't know what she was doing to me! "Wait. Where are your trousers?"

"I'm wearing shorts. I'm gonna be back, just let me go-"

"No." I walked over to her and kissed her cheek. "If you're comfortable like this, stay like this. It's just-" I groaned and pulled her closer to me. "You drive me crazy, Aisha. You walking around with those sexy legs of yours doesn't really help me stay focused," I whispered. She lay her head on my chest as she slowly began laughing. "I'm serious."

"I know, I know. Oh god, I'm so sorry, Aneel." She looked up at me with a smile and I automatically smiled back. "Shall I go and put some actual trousers on?"

"Don't. Stay like this. Gives me a sneak peak of what I'll be getting tonight," I said whilst wiggling my eyebrows. Aisha pushed me away with a laugh but I wrapped my arms around her again. I kissed her shoulder and closed my eyes. "I love you."

"I love you too, no matter how perverted you are."

"Oh hush, you love it really." She only laughed again. She sighed and wrapped her arms around my neck.

"I really do love you Aneel," she mumbled against my neck. "I mean it. So please, stop with the presents and stop spending money on me."

"Never gonna happen. I'm gonna spoil you whether you like it or not. And then when our children eventually come along, I'll spoil them too. Actually, only our daughter. Gonna teach my son how to spoil the ladies of the house." She sighed as she tightened her arms around me. "You okay babes?"

"I'm fine." I rolled my eyes and pulled away so I could see her face. "What is it?"

Taking her hand in mine, I scanned over her face. "One thing I learnt over my life was that if a woman says she's fine, she isn't fine. So you want to talk about it?" She quickly shook her head and I sighed. Forcing a smile, I kissed the top of her head and went to check on the chicken. They were small pieces so they wouldn't take very long. And the potatoes needed to be checked since they were in for a long time while we...yeah let's just leave it at that.

Aisha sat back down on the chair, crossing her legs. I sat down beside her and held her hands. "Seriously, what's up? You're worrying me."

"I'm sorry. It's just gonna be a stupid question but it's been bothering me." I watched her blush. Tracing my finger on the back of her hand, I moved closer to her. "God this is so stupid," she muttered to herself. "You know how you said you slept with several women..." A small smile appeared on my face when I realised where this was going. Her face was turning red and I could feel her hot breath floating past my neck. "We're they...am I..."

"You're the best. To be honest with you, I think I was too drunk to remember those. But no matter how many people I sleep with, it will always be the best with the person I love. And that happens to be you." I put a finger under her chin and lifted her head up. "Stop comparing yourself to others. No one can beat you anyways. I love you, Aisha. And to say, you can do some pretty amazing things with that sexy body-"

"Stop doing that!" She quickly put a hand over my mouth and I started to laugh. Before I even got the chance to lick her hand, she pulled it away with a glare. "Don't even think about that." I kissed her quickly before I got up to check on the soup. As I was stirring it, I felt Aisha's arms wrap around my waist. With a smile, I carried on doing what I was doing until she spoke up.

"You didn't have to make the soup." I shrugged my shoulders and dumped the packet of frozen vegetables into the bubbling pot of water.

"Can you stop and come in front of me? I want to be able to hold you." She giggled and ducked under my arms, standing in front of me. I picked up the small spoon from the counter and dipped it into the soup. "Here, taste this." I slowly guided the soup in her mouth and waited eagerly for her comment. "Is it okay?"

"That's amazing, Aneel. What did you put in there?"

"That's my secret, love." She looked up at me and stuck her tongue out. "Like I said, better use."

"Stop being so perverted!"

"Never, babe! I come with the pervertidness, take it all or take nothing."

She hummed to herself for a while before pushing me back. "I choose nothing." With a laugh, I wrapped my arms back around her, tighter this time. She giggled and kissed my arm. "I love you."

"I love you too, your highness."

---

Aisha stood up from the chair and I stopped what I was doing. I stared at her until she slowly sat down again.

"I told you to sit down and not move. I'm bringing the food."

"Let me do something, please! I don't like sitting down doing nothing." I rolled my eyes and set the two bowls of soup down. I quickly went back to the kitchen and took the bread out the oven. "Did you make this?"

"No. I bought this from the turkish shop this morning, I was just warming it up." I kissed her cheek and put the spoon in her hand. "Taste it."

I know I made her taste it before but I added a few more things in it so I was nervous all over again. What if she didn't like the changes I made? I can't undo it and change it back to how it was. I watched eagerly as she raised the spoon to her mouth. She turned to me with a small smile and I slowly relaxed. "Trust me, it's wonderful. It's even better than last time." She leaned over and kissed my cheek. "Start eating now. I don't want to be the only one."

The rest of the dinner went pretty well. The chicken tasted great if I say so myself and everything was pretty much perfect. Now it was time for dessert but Aisha said she needed a little time for everything to go down. I stood up with the dishes and took them over to the sink. Aisha quickly pushed me away and grabbed the sponge before I could.

"You sit down. I'm doing the dishes." She glared at me until I slowly backed out from the kitchen. Once she turned back around, I wrapped my arms around her and exhaled. She always smelt so good. "I said to go and sit down. You made-"

"Shh. You talk way too much sometimes." She huffed and I smiled against her neck. "Aisha?"

"Yes?"

"I love you."

"Okay. Good for you." I rolled my eyes and pinched her cheeks. She giggled and smiled up at me. "I love you too."

"Good you for. I mean for you." I looked over her shoulder and saw she was almost finished. "Wanna watch a movie tonight? Or you gonna fall asleep again?"

"I'm sorry, I was just really tired. And to be honest, I just want to go to sleep. I'm so tired. And I mean sleep, sleep Aneel." I smiled against her shoulder and tightened my arms around her. I was sort of glad she said that because I was knackered myself. I traced my finger along her arm slowly and sighed. "You okay, Aneel?" I hummed as a response and buried my head into her neck.

"I just hope I give you enough to keep you happy. Because I can tell you that you make me really happy."

"Are you silly, Aneel? I love you and you make me really, really happy. I couldn't have asked for a better husband. And no, I'm not just saying that; I am saying the truth." She turned around and faced me with a smile.

"Promise?" She softly laughed to herself and I smiled. "Stop, I'm being serious."

"Fine. I promise. Now pick a movie before I do."

"Inception?" She shrugged her shoulders and patted my chest.

"Don't mind. That's the one with the dream thing, isn't it?" I exhaled slowly and scanned her face. That was a genuine question.

"I need to take you out more. I think you are the only one that I have seen that doesn't know any movies. Seriously, what have you been doing all your life?"

"Education, silly. That always came first. Then it was family. Had to do everything, remember? Had to make my mum proud." I leaned down and gave her a short kiss. I leaned my forehead against with hers with a smile.

"Everyone is proud of you. Whenever I asked someone about you, all there was was good. Nothing bad. And look at you, got married to a foul mouthed, dirty minded pervert like me." She laughed and ran a hand through my hair. "But you love this foul mouthed, dirty minded pervert though."

"I do. Very much." She sighed and then smiled. "I always imagined it different, you know? Getting married and stuff." I held her hand as we both walked to the sofa. She crossed her legs in her seat and I sat beside her, my arm against the back with my head resting on it. I smiled at her and held her hand with my other one.

"How did you think it was going to be different?" She played around with my fingers for a while before she shrugged her shoulders.

"Always thought I would wait till twenty-three till I got married. I don't even know why. And then I planned out my life, you know. Get married. Have a baby by twenty-five. If I can, have another one. Always thought I would be a house wife with some next up husband. Didn't think I would even fall in love with him but look at what we have here. Already married. Already ready to have a baby. Already fell in love." Her body turned towards me, legs still crossed. My eyes scanned over her lips and she bit down softly on it. "It's just different. But I honestly have no arguments against it because I'm happy."
