10- I love you too
//Aneel
Opening my eyes, I squinted at the light. I lifted my head and then realised that I was lying on top of Aisha with my head on her stomach. I sighed and rolled off her slowly. She stirred a bit in her sleep but turned towards me.
"Aisha?" She didn't answer so I moved closer to her. "Aisha?"
"What?" I kissed the top of her head and she groaned. "Hmm?"
"Are you awake?" She didn't answer for a while and I moved right up next to her. "Aisha?"
"Hmm?! You woke me up," she mumbled. I ignored her and ran a hand through her hair. It ended up getting stuck and she screamed at me. "Gosh, Aneel, let me sleep." She turned around and I frowned.
"I'm sorry for screaming at you," I whispered in her ear. She sighed and turned around, eyes open. "Listen to me, okay? I'm really sorry for making you upset."
"It's fine. I just let everything pile on top of me and I just...burst. Aneel, I want to tell-"
"Aisha!" Nafeesa screamed from downstairs. Aisha sighed and slowly got off the bed. "You guys want breakfast now?!"
"No! You woke Aneel up from sleep!" I laughed to myself as she came back beside me. "If I told her I woke up, she wouldn't have cared." I sighed as I smiled at her.
"You're so weird, you know?" She shrugged her shoulders with a smile. She put her legs up on the bed and a but a hand on top of one. "You know your legs are actually really nice?"
"Stop being so creepy, Aneel," she said. "You sound more like a pervert more and more everyday." I lay my head down on her lap as I looked up at her.
"Because I get to be a pervert about you. I'm your husband and you are my very beautiful wife. And you know the best part," I whispered. She leaned slightly forward so she could hear me better. "I get to touch you whenever and wherever I want." She slapped my shoulder and I began laughing. It was so easy to wind her up! "I'm sorry. I'm just kidding."
She stood up with a frown. "You are so annoying sometimes, you know that?" I shrugged my shoulders and held her hand.
"I've been told. But I know that besides all of that-"
"Aisha!" Nafeesa screamed again. I sighed and let go of her hand. "Can you put the heater on please?"
I left Aisha to do her thing while I went into the bathroom. After I washed my face, I put the towel down and looked at myself in the mirror. "Okay," I muttered to myself. "Just keep doing what you are doing and eventually she will say it too." I sighed once again and ran a hand through my hair.
It's hard loving someone who doesn't love you. I want to tell her whenever I want but I don't want to overwhelm her into saying it.
I walked back into the room and found Aisha putting the blanket back on the bed. She had already changed the sheets. She smiled at me and straightened the blanket.
"What's wrong? You seem like you are lost in thought." I shrugged my shoulders and went over to hug her. "Aneel?"
"Nothing is wrong. I've just been thinking about a few things. You can go into the bathroom now."
"I went downstairs instead. You were taking too long. Are you sure you are alright?" I nodded my head and kissed the back of her neck before letting go.
"Do you mind going to work with me? I just have this one meeting and then we can go home."
"That's fine. Why do you seem so upset?"
"Do I? There's nothing wrong, I promise." She sighed and turned around to face me. I shook my head slowly as I admired her. She didn't know half the things she did to me with those brown sparkling eyes and that beautiful smile of hers. "We should really go and eat breakfast now." She nodded her head and smiled once again.
//Aisha
Aneel put the bag in the boot and sighed. Something was wrong with him but he wasn't letting me in. I mean, in the morning he was completely fine...and slightly perverted...but fine nonetheless. Maybe it was serious what he was thinking of? I don't know but all I knew that I didn't like seeing him upset, especially not knowing what to do to make him happy again. I waved goodbye to my sister once again and we both got into the car.
"Did something happen?" Aneel looked at me with a frown.
"What you talking about, silly? I told you nothing happened. You don't have to worry about anything." He began driving but only went down the road before I told him to stop.
"I need to know what's wrong, Aneel. It makes me upset knowing that you aren't happy." He just sighed.
"Nothing, Aisha." He held my hand and I looked down. "I've just got a lot on my mind. We will talk about it when the time is right, okay?" I nodded my head knowing there was nothing else I could do to make him say what was wrong. "Don't be upset. You did nothing wrong." I sighed and then leaned forward to kiss his cheek.
"Sorry for asking too much. I was just worried. You can continue going to work now."

"So, you actually didn't know?" Aneel said with a laugh. We were stuck in traffic and Aneel had already missed the meeting but two of his friends, Rashid and Nazrul, were enough already. Instead, they said to meet up with them to have lunch.
Rashid and Nazrul were both amazing guys and I already felt like they are one of my brothers. They are so funny and silly that you could spend the whole day laughing with them.
"I actually didn't know," I admitted. He laughed once again. "At that moment, it wasn't that funny."
"Oh my, trust you to have the weirdest childhood stories ever." I laughed and turned my head to look at him. He had a smile on his face and you could tell he wasn't faking it like he was over breakfast. He turned around to look at me and smiled once again. "You're so beautiful, you know that?"
"Stop saying that." I didn't know what else to say. Getting compliments made me uncomfortable since I wasn't used to them. He leaned in closer and kissed my forehead.
"I'll never stop saying that. Not until you start believing it yourself." He looked back at the road and drove for another thirty seconds before stopping again. "You know, I once told myself that Allah will give me good things and I cannot tell you how many times I prayed for a good wife and alhamdulillah He gave me just that."
I opened my mouth to speak but nothing came out. Instead, I felt my cheeks burn and looked down. "Can you stop now?" I mumbled as I picked at the bracelet that I was wearing. He softly put a hand on my wrist and I looked up at him.
"Never. Get used to them Aisha."
"Well I think you are very handsome," I whispered. He smiled at me and kissed my cheek before driving forwards a little. "And very muscular." I quickly let my eyes can over him. "Very." He laughed this time and looked at me again. "And loving," I said meeting his eye. He slowly stopped laughing but a smile still remained on his lips. His smile was beautiful. Yes, beautiful. "And caring, funny." I sighed and looked at my fingers. "And a complete idiot for marrying a messed up woman," I said with a laugh. "For-you are just amazing."
"I love you," I heard him whisper. I closed my eyes and I exhaled. Did I love him? Did I love my husband? He is the one that made me laugh so much after a long time. He is the one that makes me feel beautiful when I am with him. He takes my insecurities and loves them. With him, I feel like I have the things I have always wanted and more. I know it wasn't the marriage that I expected with the arguments that we already had but besides that, I can finally say I am happy. "I love you and I married you because of that. Call me an idiot or any other words you want, but the fact that I know I have the most beautiful woman beside me, the one that makes me smile with only her voice or just the thought of her, I know that the most idiotic mistake was my best ever mistake." He placed his finger under my chin and raised it so my eyes met his. He smiled and leaned down to kiss my forehead. "Cheer up, now. Smile for me." And just like that, I felt my lips automatically curve into a smile.
"Aneel?" He drove past the traffic light and turned right to join another queue. He looked over at me again. I curled up in the seat, knocking off my shoes and smiled at him. Aneel smiled back. "I've been meaning to tell you something."
"What is it, babe?" I held one of hand with both of mine and raised it to my lips. "You have no idea how cute you look like that." He turned slightly to face me. "What is it?"
"I...I love you too, Aneel," I whispered. There! I didn't even know that was going to happen. But that's when I realised that I actually did love him. I love my husband!
