Prolague
"Come on Lilith, I know things have been rough for us but please, think of your daughters!" Lucifer cried, tears brimming at his lashline.
"I'm sorry Lucifer, but I'm done." Lilith said. "My father was right about you."
There was a pause, Lucifer's hands clutched his wive's arm gently, ferm, but not enough to hurt her in any way.
"Lilith! Don't go! Please!" he whispered one last time. "I need you."
"I'll be back for the rest of my things in the morning." She said, her tone ice cold. "Goodbye."
And with that, she pulled away and slammed the door behind her, and Lucifer broke down in tears.
"Daddy?" Came a small voice from the hallway. "Where's Mommy going?"
"Yeah, where?" Came another.
"Mommy's . . ." Lucifer started, then paused with a sigh. "Mommy's not coming back."
"What?" Emily whispered. "Why? D-did we do something wrong? Why'd she leave? why doesn't she wanna come back?"
Charlie appiered behind her, and he pulled his two daughters into an embrace.
"It wasn't anything we did," Lucifer told them. "Anyone who wouldn't want to be with you two every day is an idiot. Mommy's being an idiot."
He choked, he heard sniffles coming from Charle, and sobbing from Emily.
What was he going to do?
"Come on, you two should be in bed." He said, and brought them to their room to sleep.
After that he went to his own bedroom, he plopped onto the bed and sobbed into his pillow.
She was really gone.
She didn't love him anymore.
Had she ever?
His heart ached at that thought.
Had she ever truly loved him, or their daughters?
He didn't want to know the answer to that.
He sat up crying for a while, until his phone buzzed with a text message.

-Alastor
Alastor . . .
Alastor was one of his closest friends, he'd also been the one to warn Lucifer that Lilith was bad news.
He was right . . . Lucifer thought sadly. And now she's gone . . .
He sucked in a breath of air, and hit the call button.
Ring.
Ring.
"Hello?" Alastor's voice rang softly in his ear.
"Alastor . . ." Lucifer whispered through his tears. "She's gone."
"I'll be right over." His friend said, and then hung up.
