His cabin door opened with a thud and he looked at the intruder. Nurse who was talking to him stood shocked at the sudden rude intrusion. Doctor looked at her and signalled her to leave.

Nurse went out muttering something about the manners.

But who cares!

" What the hell is going on?"

" Siddharth....."

"Care to explain?" Siddharth bellowed.

"I guess you met her." Doctor said clearing his throat.

" You both were supposed to be in Mumbai right?" Siddharth enquired.

" Yes.....but...." Dr. Ramesh hesitated.

" But what?" He asked impatiently.

" She wanted to come back." Dr sighed.

" What about her therapy then?" Siddharth asked worried.

" It was almost over Siddharth.....she insisted to come back as she said she was ready to face....."

" Oh" Siddharth looked down.

" Siddharth I know...it's hard for you to......"

" She was supposed to stay away from me, Isn't she?" He looked pained.

" Yes......but." Ramesh was worried now.

" That's the reason you took her to Mumbai.....away from me, right?" He asked angrily.

" What? No!......" Ramesh exclaimed.

" Then now when I got used to live alone......why did you bring her back?" Siddharth asked coldly.

" Listen to me Siddharth, she needed this......." He tried to explain.

" She wants to move on. Doesn't she?" Siddharth asked.

" Yes." Doctor whispered.

Siddharth laughed bitterly.

" So she is ready to let go of her past completely and move on......" Siddharth asked in rage.

" It's not like that......"

" When I am just trying to live my life without her.......she came back and guess what? All ready to move on....great just great." Siddharth said sarcastically.

" Siddharth! You are taking it all wrong....I brought here so that she can start her life......you also wanted that." Doctor said to him seriously.

" Yes! I wanted her to be safe, to be alive.....but that doesn't mean that she should be away from me......"

" Listen to me once......"

" No."

" She is not even trying to know her past.......but she is just leaving it behind and trying to move on."

" It's not good for her......" Doctor tried to say.

" I know that and that's why I am staying away from her, Isn't it?" He asked angrily.

" Please let's sit and talk for once."

" I am leaving." Saying this Siddharth went away banging the door again making that nurse outside jump again in fear.

She thought she would get a heart attack today.

Doctor sighed not knowing what to do and that's why he didn't inform him about her arrival as he doesn't know how would he react. He completely understands Siddharth's inner turmoil but it would have been better if he had let him explained for once.

But he was happy inside that they met.

As he thought fate will decide and it came true.

It's destiny.

They both belong to each other.

Siddharth reached his house and entered inside looking angry. His mom was worried looking at him like that and went after him. She saw him going towards his room and stopped in his way suddenly.

She looked at him who was looking at the locked room intently and gulped when he took steps towards the locked room. She sighed in relief when she saw him storming away into his room by banging the door close.

She didn't understand what has gotten into him but let him be alone because if she goes to him and ask what happened, it will only get worse.

She was so happy when he returned from London a few days back. His father sent him away unable to see his pain of agony. First his accident and then Ananya's memory loss..... both took a lot of toll on him.

His safety and sanity mattered to them the most at that time as they thought they would lose him. Siddharth was unable to bear the truth that she has forgotten him. She was alive and in front of him mattered him the most but also couldn't deny that he was heartbroken at the thought of her forgetting him and their love.

He used to be in his room 24/7 lying on his bed with their photos and memories. He didn't know to feel happy that she is alright or to feel sad that she lost her memory. He stopped talking to everyone, he used to eat a little that too after a lot of begging, he stopped going to the office also but what terrified them the most was he didn't cry or he didn't show anyone what was going on his mind and he didn't throw and break the things like he used to do when he feels sorrow or anger.

The blank look on his face, lifeless eyes and emotionless acts made them worried so much. They all tried to talk to him, console him, pacify him but nothing could make him better. So they did one thing they thought would be good. They locked his room with all those memories and photos which reminds him of her every second.

They understood that if he stays here only then they would definitely lose him. They asked Raj, Neha, Dr.Ramesh, Anu's parents to convince him to go to London for some days because he will not able to control himself to meet her if he stays here which may not be good for both of them.

Siddharth sighed lying on his bed. He didn't understand why he lashed out on Dr. Ramesh. It had been months he had talked to anyone and shouting is the farthest thing he had done till now.

He was happy and relieved that she was out of danger and recovered from that dreadful disease......but he was asked to stay away from her as she is not capable of handling the truth at that time.

She was unable to accept her parents also....she pushed everyone away as her mind was blank..... everything felt incomplete and confusing for her. When she tried to remember anything from her past, a sharp pain used to hit her in the brain which made eventually lose her consciousness.

He opened his eyes with difficulty. His whole body was aching and felt heavy. He looked around to see he was in a hospital room. He frowned and thought about what happened to him.

He was met with an accident.

His eyes widened when he thought about Anu. He doesn't know for how many days he had been in the hospital and he wanted to see her once.

He sat up on the bed and saw that he was attached to some wires and tubes. He removed all of them and stood on his foot. He staggered but managed till door. Nurse came inside and told him that he is not in a position to walk.

But he didn't listen to her and went outside staggering. Nurse called the doctor immediately and he came running to them.

" I want to see Anu." He shouted at them.

His parents, Anu's parents, Raj and Neha.....everyone came running to him.

" How is she?" He asked them and everyone looked panicked at them.

" How many days I was out of consciousness?" He asked them.

" Three days." Raj whispered.

And he shocked but the fear in their faces bothered him.

" Is everything okay? You people are scaring me." He asked them but they stayed silent.

" Move.....I will go myself and see her how is she." He said and took slow steps.

" She woke up." Neha said.

He froze.

" What?" He whispered in shock.

" Yes, she woke up and she is fine now." Neha said to him.

He smiled with tears.

" Really! I will go and see her.....she must be waiting for me." He said and walked fastly forgetting about his pain.

" You cannot meet her." Dr. Ramesh said sadly.

He stopped in his tracks.

" Why?" He asked frowning.

" She lost her memory." Doctor said and he felt like something exploded in his chest.

Before he could ask anything, he fainted because of the weakness and loss of blood he had after the accident.

And when he woke up after sometime, they all explained him about her condition and tears fell from his eyes.

He pleaded them that he just wants to see her once even it is from afar. They agreed and took him to her room in a wheelchair.

He saw her from the window. She was staring at the wall in front of her blankly. He cried looking at her. She is alive and in front of him but he cannot go near her. And all of a sudden she started looking around searching for something or rather someone holding her hand to her chest.

He smiled with tears that she could still feel him and suddenly their eyes met.

His heart stopped beating for a second.

She  looked at him thinking as to why a person is staring at her. His head and a part of his face was covered in bandages but what bothered her was his eyes. She felt something at his intense stare and she just stared back at him.

Everyone watched this quietly with wide eyes in anticipation.

Suddenly, they saw her holding her head in pain and Dr. Ramesh ran to her and injected her with medicine. She soon fell asleep and Siddharth was rooted in his place watching her.

And that's when he understood that he had to stay away from her.

His eyes had tears remembering that day. And after that he used to watch her daily from afar. He couldn't find in himself to go infront of her and say what he is to her. He saw how she shouted at Raj and Neha when they said they are her friends.

He clearly remembered how terrified she was at first and then she tried to remember them but when she couldn't remember anything, she shouted at them, threw things that were around her which stressed her a lot and all these cause her to faint.

He was stunned by her behaviour, he wouldn't be able to bear if she behaves with him like that. He wanted to hold her, calm her by saying soothing words but it didn't seem like she will allow anyone near her at that time as her own parents were scared of her reaction and stayed away from her for a while.

In all these, everyone were worried about him also as he was silent all this time. Dr. Ramesh asked him not to come in front of her for a while as she is not in a position to handle anything. He was heartbroken listening to that but stayed away.

Dr. Ramesh said that he will take her to Mumbai for the treatment. His friend was a psychiatrist and she needed treatment and therapy to become normal. This will make her feel better as she will also be away from everyone for a while.

He didn't said anything......he neither agreed nor disagreed. He just walked out and reached his house. He saw her mother crying for him hugging hsi father, his heart clenched looking at them like that. He walked to his room which was locked and went to them asking for the reason.

His parents explained him that they did this as they feel that they are losing their son and he is going into depression by locking himself in that room. He thought he had lost her anyway.....those photos are nothing in front of this loss. They were happy as they thought he would throw a fit.

He didn't have energy to do that infact to do anything.....he is tired......tired of everything. He just wants some peace.

His parents, Anu's parents, Raj, Neha, Dr. Ramesh came to him as a battalion to speak to him. They were terrified by his silence and calmness. They told him to go away from this place for some days like to some vacation and patiently waited for my outburst.

He shook his head at their fear struck faces and agreed instantly. To say there were shocked is an understatement and he himself was shocked as to why he agreed maybe because he seriously needed a break from all this.

Past few months were hectic and without her in this place he felt suffocated. So he agreed and his dad made all arrangements for him to go to London. Atleast they were happy he thought.

In London, he spent his time reviving himself. He joined Gym, made some friends there, read books and attended some meetings also here and there for his company. He used to talk to his parents on phone and skype. They were happy at the progression in his life.

He used to talk to Neha and Raj also, who used to cheer him up with their stupidity and craziness. They also used to fill him up about Anu regularly. He was happy for her too.....she was progressing too.

In all this, he missed her so much. He missed her smile, her talks, her laugh, her hugs, her smell, her fights, her anger...... everything. He missed each and every thing about her in his every breath.

But all he could do was to remember and smile at their memories. It wasn't easy for him to stay away from her, not seeing her, not talking to her......but he had to do it. God has given her a new life and now he doesn't want anything wrong happening with her.

She was alive.....that was all he needed.

But today, he didn't expect to meet her all of a sudden. He didn't know that they were back from Mumbai. Today is Neha's birthday and so he went to the mall to buy her a gift. That girl was there with him in his good and bad times. She was like his sister that he never had. He got the gift and when he was walking out, he got bumped to someone and his gift fell down.

He got angry and was ready to lash out whoever it was who bumped into him. But he saw her infront of him scowling at him. To say he was shocked is an understatement.

He was happy to see her after months, he smiled to himself when he saw her anger towards him. He talked to her, he touched her, and she smiled at him too.

God! How much he missed her!

He was overwhelmed with emotions. But when the reality struck in his mind, he got angry......very very angry, so he went to the hospital and lashed out on Dr. Ramesh.

Then what? How much will power it took for him to stay away from her from his life and now when he was doing better, she came in front of her all of a sudden triggering all the emotions in him.

He groaned...... And now he met her, he will not be able to stay away from her.

And God only knows the consequences.
