- Laurence's POV -
I follow Garroth down the stairs and go into the lounge as he goes to the door and opens it to welcome Vylad and Dante inside. Garroth follows his brother and Dante into the lounge where I am in the couch eying up the cupcakes in the table, it was just like they were calling out to me shouting EAT ME. I go to grab a cupcake.
"not yet babe" Garroth says moving the cupcakes to the other side of the room. Why can he just give me one cupcake. I look at Vylad and Dante and realise that the normally love struck and joyful lovers now look like the world was about to end.
'Is everything Ok' I asked them and they just looked at me
- Garroth's POV -
'Garroth you may want to sit down' Vylad said with a dark tone to his voice, what could be so bad to bring my little brother down. I went to sit down next to Laurence.
'So what did you want to talk about' I asked them.
'Garroth, Laurence it's Garte' Vlylad said with fear in his voice, the sheer mention of Garte's name sent shivers down my spine
'Vylad it's Ok I still get nightmares too but he's in prison we're free from him now' I said to try and reassure my little brother.
'But Garroth don't you remember it's    
been a year since he was sent to prison, he gets out next week'
Oh my Irene no, how could I forget that my father came out of jail in this  week I looked around at all in the room we all sat in silence for the fear of this meant for all of us and Zane and Travis who were away on vacation we had not spoke of Garte since he was sent to jail.
- Laurence's POV -
No how we have forgotten about this how did we forget the past the mention of Garte's name brought back the memories of when we had to hide who we were out of fear for what Garte would do to us the only thing that can save us now if somehow jail has change Garroth, Vylad and Zane's father but I have the feeling that this will not happen
We sat and spoke for a while and decided that Garroth should be the one to tell Zane and Travis about this, we tried to take our minds off what was going to happen by the cupcakes but the fear was enough to even put me off of the cupcakes we are all doomed. After a while it was time for Vylad and Dante to go back home. We said goodbye and spent minute looking at each other as this may be the last time that we can spend time together without fear for a long time.
Once Vylad and Dante had left me and Garroth spent the rest of the night by each other's side. We both knew that life as we knew it was all about to change.
