Skoll Chases the Moon
Jimin had been fuming for the past couple of days and Hoseok had no idea why.
Ever since the New Year party at Yoongi's place, Hoseok and the producer had grown incredibly close. They'd meet after work and walk home together. Hoseok had been having the time of his life so far. Everything was perfect. He was slowly getting to know this man he had fallen in love with so suddenly. The more he learnt, the more he loved, and he knew it was the same for Yoongi.
However, with this increasing sense of security that he felt with Yoongi, he was also aware of a growing sense of agitation and annoyance in his young friend and colleague. There was something wrong with Jimin. He couldn't quite put his finger on what it was. He hadn't even noticed when it had begun, the change had been so gradual. Or perhaps he had been too love struck to notice. Hoseok hoped that the latter was not the case. After all, Jimin had always been there for him and he would hate to be a bad friend to him.

Jimin's heart was torn in two. He knew Hoseok loved Yoongi and vice versa, but that did not stop his heart from skipping a beat when near the producer. He and Hoseok were essentially of a similar mindset, which was why they got along so well. It was also why both were attracted to Yoongi for the same reasons- his seemingly drunken way of talking, the quiet self confidence, the charisma, his "the devil may care" attitude, and beneath all that, his soft, passionate personality.
Yoongi was never his, and would probably never be. The place in his heart that was reserved for Hoseok had always been full of affection and admiration. Now there arose a green flame of jealousy.
"Hey, what's wrong?"
Jimin looked up at Hoseok. The latter looked so worried. He smiled, "Nothing. Just nervous about the performance, that's all."
"Ah, Jimin." Hoseok's face broke out in a warm smile. He sat down next to the younger and put an arm around his shoulder, "You are stressing too much. There is still a month to go. Besides, I watch you everyday. There is no way you can get better. You are going to own that stage. Trust me."
Jimin smiled at him before looking away sadly. If only I could tell you how I actually feel, but that would take away the precious happiness you have.

Yoongi spotted Jimin walking home, past his studio. He greeted him and asked for 'Hobi'.
"Hobi?"
"Yeah, short for Jhope."
"Jhope?"
"Yeah, the nickname I gave him."
Jimin let out a bark of laughter. He saw the reason behind the name.
"He's still at the dance studio. He got this offer to teach an upcoming hip hop girl group, so he said he'd figure out some steps before they arrive tomorrow." Then, gathering up courage, he blurted out, "Would you mind walking home with me?"
Yoongi gave him his heart melting gummy smile, "Of course not."
The two set off in companionable silence.

By the time Yoongi got home, having bid farewell to Jimin, he was quite taken in by the lad. Jimin was naturally a genuine soul and all who spoke to him, saw it immediately. The two had chatted about everything under the Sun, but it had mostly been about Hoseok. Yoongi wanted to know all about his crush. What surprised him was that Jimin seemed reluctant to talk about his best friend. Could an angel be jealous? He pushed aside that thought. It was a silly one, it had to be.
After dinner, Jungkook and Taehyung, who had come over earlier that evening, sang songs while Yoongi played on his brown piano. Later, the boys retired for the night. Yoongi wasn't in a hurry. He sat and stared at the ivory keys of his beloved instrument. The brown piano had been his first love. Nothing understood him better than it did. Whenever he was overcome with emotion- whether good or bad- he would let his fingers find random keys. Sometimes they found familiar tunes, ones committed to memory, and sometimes they played as though they had a will of their own. The music may have been utter gibberish or something beautiful, but it was music, and in those few hours, Yoongi felt truly at home. The piano was an extension of his being.
Sitting there in the deepening night, warmed by the memory of his Hobi's face, Yoongi played a song of contentment.
