"Are you trying to mock me?"

Both Jimin and Yoongi looked up together and their expressions were far from what he had expected. Yoongi jumped up and helped, "Hobi! What are you doing there? Who are you? Why am I sitting with someone who is not you? What is this?"

Jimin stood up and looked away, shamefacedly.

Hoseok gave him a look of complete and utter disappointment. He said in a voice that nearly cracked with grief, "Jiminie, what is this?"

Yoongi was looking from Jimin to Hoseok, baffled. He had thought he was with Hoseok! Slowly he understood that Jimin had been pretending to be his friend. Once this realisation dawned on him, he turned to the young dancer, his face raging, "There better be a good explanation for this."

Jimin didn't know what to do. He felt as though he would burst into tears. He decided that in order to save two friendships, he would have to sacrifice his ego and tell them the truth.

The producer and the two dancers sat in the audience stand of 'Fairy Lights' and talked late into the night. Jimin told them everything- how he had fallen for Yoongi, but hadn't wanted to say anything as he knew that Hoseok and Yoongi liked each other. He had taken the opportunity of the light show as a last chance to feed this love. After this, he would slowly distance himself emotionally from Yoongi, till he no longer looked at him as something more than a friend. He had meant no harm to Hoseok and Yoongi's relationship, but had not foreseen what harm he may cause it, were his plan to be discovered. He apologised profusely and broke down.

Yoongi and Hoseok looked at each other and seemed to communicate merely with their eyes. They comforted Jimin and told him that the ways of the heart were indeed strange. Three disturbed souls went home that night. Jimin did not know how he would face his friend for the rest of his life. Hoseok was embarrassed at everything, yet he was glad Jimin had been so open with him. Yoongi hoped he hadn't been the cause of a rift between the two dancers.

The next day dawned bright and cheerful, without a hint of a shadow of the storm of emotions that had raged the previous night. Yoongi, Hoseok, and Jimin went about their day as usual. The dancers practised together before Hoseok had to leave to tutor the girl group. Nothing of the previous night was mentioned. In the evening, they met Yoongi and Jungkook at the mall. There seemed to be no awkwardness between the three. Yoongi and Hoseok walked around hand in hand, while Jimin and Jungkook behaved like little children. Later, they made their way towards the auditorium hosting 'Fairy Lights'.

Hoseok had specifically requested Rosé to play a special theme that night. The floodlights blinked out of existence and the show began.

That night's theme was Shakespeare's 'As You Like It', a story of love, friendship, and forgiveness.

Jimin and Jungkook sat before Yoongi and Hoseok, watching the show in awe. Yoongi and Hoseok sat arm in arm, hearts warm and content. At one point, both of them moved, as if in sync, and they hugged Jimin from the back. All three of them knew that everything would be alright. Their friendship lived on in the eternal spirit of love and forgiveness.
