Chapter 51
Third person
Of course their parents were happy that Leo and Blake were getting married. They would be happy together, there was no doubt about that.
Gumball was pretty surprised at first but then realized how obvious it was. If they had run off together for two years surely they would get married, if they weren't secretly already.
Marshall wasn't phased much at all. He saw this day coming for years. Leo was so head over heels for Blake that it would only be surprising if they didn't get married.
Finn was very excited. His only son was getting married and going to be happy. That's all he really wanted for him. If Leo made him happy then all would be good.
Even Flame King was excited, which surprised both Blake and Leo. His reaction had caused them the most worry because of his fire power, but he was actually happy. All the parents were happy that they were getting married.
The wedding was planned over the next several days. The eager couple didn't want anything fancy; just a small wedding with family. They would have said family and friends but in all honesty neither of them ever really had friends besides each other.
Leo's parents wanted a nighttime wedding to keep him from burning, but Leo insisted on a sunset one instead. He could deal with a little bit of burning. The sight would be worth it.
All the details of the wedding were worked out in a week. Leo and Blake were getting married in a matter of days at sunset on the shoreline of the beach. They would be just a few hundred feet from where Leo parents got married.
Both the boys were excited to be doing this. They couldn't wait to officially start their lives together as a married couple, even though that's pretty much what they were doing while they were gone.
Finally the day had come. Everything was being put together and any last minute details were being added. There wouldn't be any imperfections.
Blake was dressed in a light orange tux while Leo was dressed in pale pink-ish-purple one. Needless to say that neither of them really enjoyed being all gussied up in fancy clothes. They would rather just wear a t-shirt and shorts. But this was their wedding so they figured they should at least look nice.
Once the sun had started to set is when the wedding began. The guests consisted of both boys' parents, Peppermint maid, and a few other people the boys had grown up with in their lives. It was a rather small wedding, but still beautiful.
The preacher began his usual speech before gesturing to both to say their vows.
"Leo, I'm not lying when I tell you that you're all I need. We grew up together and spent every night in the forest where we just grew closer. I don't know where I'd be without you and I don't want to find out. You're the the only one I love and the only one I'll ever love. You're perfect for me. It doesn't matter where we are or what we're doing, as long as I have you I'll live happily. I love you Leo." Blake spoke, making his partner smile.
The preacher then gestured for Leo to say his vows.
"Blake, you're not just my fiance- well, soon to be husband I suppose is more proper, but you're also my best friend and you're like family to me. Whenever I'm down you pick up the pieces and you're always there when I need you. It's like when I lose some pieces you're there to fill in the spaces because you fit in perfectly. We are meant for each other. No one makes me as happy as you make me. I love you Blake and I always will, now and for the rest of eternity."
The two shared a sweet kiss as the preacher pronounced them married. The day couldn't have gone any better. Now the boys could live out their lives together, from now until the end of time.
The end.
