Chapter 46

Third person

The two boys ran as far as they could from the Candy kingdom. They couldn't risk the possibility of not being together. They would probably be in a lot more trouble now that they had run away as well.

There was no doubt that they wouldn't be going back any time soon. They wouldn't dare. Besides, they could be happy together without restrictions. They could spend the next two years living how they wanted to.

The more Leo thought about it the more he realized that he liked the thought of being far away from home. He didn't really do that. The farthest he ever went was Blake's treehouse, which was just passed the forest.

Blake however wasn't so sure. He liked his parents and didn't want to leave forever. Two years was a long time, but he wouldn't mind if they came back once it was safe.

Now the lovers were passed the Ice kingdom. They steered clear of being seen by Ice Queen because mostly everyone thought she was insane, except Marshall Lee.

He knew it was the crown that made her what she was. He knew her before all that and that's what he chose to remember about her. She was like the mother he never really had and was there we he needed her.

The couple honestly had no idea where they were going, all they knew it that they wanted to get there fast. Leo didn't know how far his parents were willing to search and didn't want to find out. He just wanted to live a simple, happy life with his partner. That's all he wanted.

"Where are we going, Leo? I feel like we're walking to a dead end..." Blake asked, wanting to know how far they were going to travel before they were considered safe.

"I... I don't know... I just want to get as far away as possible for the next two years... Then we can go back..." Leo replied, rubbing the back of his neck.

The two decided after several hours of walking that they would take a break and find somewhere to sleep. They found a nice forest to settle in, but they had never been this far from home before; not even when Blake had been on adventures.

Blake set a nice fire and the two snuggled while laying against a log. They liked to spend nights like this, but this time it was different. They wouldn't have to go their separate ways in the morning. They could stay together forever if that was what they wanted, which it was.

It was very late in the evening now. Leo was finally safe from the fire. While his parents were talking he grabbed his umbrella, but felt so rushed that he didn't use it for nearly the entire day. Luckily his burns had mostly healed over and he wasn't in any pain.

They would need to talk for a while to decide where they were going and what their plan what. They were officially on their own.
