Chapter 25

Third person

Leo desperately wanted to tell his parents that he was in a relationship. He hated keeping secrets from them, but knew that no good would come of telling them.

The vampire knew that he wouldn't want to tell them yet. He wouldn't want to be away from Blake. Leo didn't know if he could actually do that.

He had visited Blake nearly every night for ten years. He missed him dearly when they were apart. He didn't think that he would be able to handle being apart from his partner.

Blake was the one thing that truly made him happy. The truth was that Blake was the only thing that made him happy. Sure, his parents did make him happy, just not in the same way. Blake gave him a type of happiness that no one else could.

Leo didn't know what would happen if he ever lost Blake. He wouldn't be able to be happy. He would probably become depressed. Without his boyfriend he had nothing to do. He could read and bake, but those things were hobbies. They didn't do much except keep him occupied while they couldn't be together. Other than that there wasn't much to do.

Blake however enjoyed the things he did in his spare time, but that didn't mean he wouldn't be depressed if he ever lost his boyfriend. Of course he would. His boyfriend was his only friend. He didn't think he would be able to function without Leo in his life. Even as a small child he was very sad and lonely. Now that he was older it would be much worse if he lost Leo.

Blake didn't think he would be able to function without Leo. He was the only thing Blake actually looked forward to. He even changed his sleep schedule to that of a vampire so he could spend more time with the one he loved. That was how much Leo meant to him.

Leo would do anything to be with Blake. He would even give up his heir to the throne. In all honesty Leo didn't want to rule a kingdom. He just wanted to live his never ending life with the one he loved. He didn't want a kingdom to watch over. His parents were doing quite well with that on their own. The last thing he wanted was to get the throne and then ruin everything by doing something wrong.

Leo had felt this way for a long while. He just wasn't sure how to tell his parents. He was their only child, although they could have another child pretty much any time they wanted. It wasn't like they were aging. All Leo would have to do was formally step down and his sibling, if he ever got one, could take the throne. He wouldn't mind doing that at all.

Sure, he loved the Candy kingdom. It was his home after all, but that didn't mean he wanted to rule over it for basically all eternity. He would need to tell his parents, and soon.
