Third person

When Blake awoke later that day he planned to tell his parents of his new partner. He thought it was only fair to tell them. It wasn't like they had much communication with the Candy kingdom or Nightosphere. The boys figured it would be safe enough to tell them.

Even with this in mind Blake was still nervous. He worried about how his parents would react to him being in a relationship so young. He was only sixteen after all. Leo was almost sixteen.

The flame boy paced around in his room for a few moments. He had to figure out what to say to his parents. He didn't just want to say something like "Hi, I'm dating Leo by the way." He knew something like that would only cause more questions and make it seem like he wasn't taking the relationship seriously.

Blake walked out of his room to find his parents having lunch. The teenager didn't eat as often as he should because he didn't have a very large appetite. But most days his parents would make him eat with them.

He sat down at the table, not preparing to eat like his parents hoped. They saw that he looked worried. Both of them knew that he was preparing to tell them something and stopped anything else they were doing.

"Is everything alright, Blake?" Finn asked, having a more concerned approach when it came to his son.

Blake nodded slowly and a small smile spread across his face.

"I'm better than alright... I'm fantastic... Things couldn't be any better... I'm so happy... I'm in a relationship with Leo..."

Blake's explanation took both of his parents by surprise. They were surprised to hear that their son was in a romantic relationship so soon. They thought that he would wait until he was older, but apparently he was ready now. And they liked Leo. They already approved of him.

"That's great. I like him. He's a good kid." Flame King added, not seeing the harm in the two having something going on.

Blake's parents took it better than he expected. He thought that they would question him and give him several different lectures about safety and not putting everything out there at once. They didn't want him to get hurt, but if he was happy then they supposed it was alright. All they wanted was for their son to be happy with someone.

Blake now couldn't wait to tell Leo the good news. It didn't seem like his parents were going to talk about it anymore. He left the room and headed for his own, spending the day thinking about his love.

Once the sun set he was out by the pond, waiting for his partner. Leo arrived shortly after that, hugging the one he loved. The two stayed like that for a short while, each loving the other's embrace.

"I told my parents about us... They seem very happy about it..." Blake said, breaking the hug.

"That's good... I wish we could tell my parents and have the same reaction..." Leo replied longingly, knowing that would never be the case.

The flame boy kissed the top of his lover's head and gave him some reassurance.

"It'll happen one day... Just you wait..."
