Chapter 17
Third person
Finally the several days had passed. Leo and Blake could meet up again like they normally did. The two friends missed each other dearly.
Leo had decided he wanted to tell his friend about his feelings. He didn't exactly know how Blake would react, but he didn't want to have to keep this hidden from his best friend.
The vampire was worried about telling his friend. He didn't know what would happen once his feelings were out in the open. Would Blake feel the same? Or would their friendship be ruined because the feelings weren't mutual? Leo didn't know for sure. All he knew was that he couldn't assume anything until he told his friend.
Blake was anxious about seeing his best friend. He wanted to share his feelings of affection, but didn't want to scare his companion away. That was one of his biggest fears.
The flame boy wouldn't know how to function without his friend. Leo was all he wanted. He was all he had to look forward to in life. Without him Blake would be horribly sad and probably wouldn't even be able to function normally. That was how much he relied on the other. Sure, it seemed clingy, but it was true.
Blake was miserable before he met Leo. He had no friends and no one to talk to besides his parents. He spent most of his time outside, trying to figure out what to do with his life. He had nothing to do until the night when he met his best friend. To this day he didn't know what he would do without his friend in his life.
As of now it was early morning. Leo did not want to risk going out during the day, as much as he missed his friend. He despised the sun and how much pain it could cause him. That's why the met at night. It would make things easier for Leo and Blake was practically a human torch. The dark would be no trouble.
Unfortunately the vampire could not sleep. His anxiety was eating away at him and preventing him from getting any rest. He couldn't wait to see Blake and talk to him about this, but the day was droning on. Leo would give anything for it to be night, but he had to wait until the sun went down before he could see his companion.
Leo read several books while he waited for the day to pass. He was very bored during the time but was distracting his mind with different activities. Reading and drawing made time fly by. It was sundown by the time Leo was itching to leave.
He said his goodbyes to his parents, assuring them he would be home by curfew. He left the kingdom and entered the forest, the feeling of butterflies fluttering around in his stomach making him walk faster. The vampire simply couldn't wait to see his friend.
Once the two locked eyes they knew that there would be no going back from this point. It was all or nothing.
