three steps forward, six back

I take one leap forward, falling into the pit I was leaping over

laying on my back,

I sit looking into the sky,

tears dripping down my face

but I get up,

I dust off

I take three leaps forward,

falling into the pit I was leaping over

I lay on my back,

screaming in pain,

blood falling off my back

but I stand, I dust off,

wobbling across the loose sand,

I take one step forward,

and twenty back,

I take eight leaps forward, falling into the pit I was leaping over,
