Sitting atop a silent roof

Staring above the night sky,

Conversing deeply with the moon

That hung above amid a crowd of
stars—

Alone, I kept talking

of loneliness, pain, and secrets untold

to the moon giving off a glow of solace

Like a friend, always there by my side

Whispering me words of comfort,
