(Sienna's POV)

I groaned as my head began to pound. I feel like a hangover 21 year old who drank for the first time the night before. I opened my eyes to see the familiar walls I grew up with along with the artworks and dumb little things that my mom loved.

I sighed as I pushed my self into a siting position only to jump back in surprise to see Bret sitting on the other end of the couch I was sitting on.

"Um..." I said as I stared at him with wide eyes, confused as to why he was here.

"Why did you tell them you where in love with someone else?" He blurted out. I looked down at my hands that where laying on my lap.

"I don't know what you insinuating since I was only telling them the truth. I'm in love with another guy who Ill be leaving to go be with" I stated as I pulled on the hem of my shirt.

"STOP!" He shouted as he stood up. "Just stop lying. You mom told me about how you only had 3 years left and how this was your last year, I know if you were leaving it wasn't going to be for some other guy. You think I didn't see the way your eyes lit up when Elijah was near? I know you loved him and that you still do" He stated he stared at me.

"I-I do love him more than anything, but there's no chance. He deserves someone better and not some girl who had an illness that may have been cured, but he deserves someone who will be there for him for eternity." I whispered as I looked at him with tears in my eyes.

"But, Sienna he loved you. I bet he still dose but he thinks your leaving with someone else. For gods sake he thinks he was just some game."

"I know but that's how its going to stay because there's still a chance I wont make it. I cant let him fall for me or get any closer to me, since it would hurt him even more to visit me in the hospital or have to come to my funeral! I can't do that to them. If they hate me then It won't hurt them as much when something happens." I stated as I stared him in the eyes with so much intensity.

"But what about you? You need someone. You need someone who will hold you when your upset, let you talk to them about anything, and someone hold your hand along the way" He said as he sat next to me.

"I don't need anyone. I can handle life on my own. Besides if I get close to anyone they'll end up getting hurt in the long run. Possible for the same reasons and I'm not worth the pain." I stated as I scooted my butt back into the corner of the couch.

"Well to bad. Everyone needs someone to help them through life and I'm going to be the one to help you Sienna."

"No. I can't let you into my life and allow the possibility of hurting you." I said as I shook my head and placed my feet on the ground. "I'm not worth any of the struggles." I whispered as I pushed my self up off the couch only to stumble sideways. I felt a pare of arms wrap around my waist right before my face would have hit the floor.

"Your still weak, so your stuck with me. Which reminds me you need to take these pills." Brent said as he puled me back onto the couch right next to him as he grabbed two bottle's and popped them open. he took two from one a one from the other. "Your mom said you need to take these to gain more strength" he said after seeing my confused stare. I nodded as I took the pills in my hand as he got up and grabbed me a water. I could here the different cupboards shutting as he looked for a glass. I giggled as he shouted in victory when he found the glasses. I watched as he walked in with a glass of water and a victorious smile on his face.

"Thanks" I said as he handed me the glass. My hands shook slightly as I brought it up to my lips. I felt a hand wrap around mine and steady the glass. I quickly swallowed the pills and drank most of the water before letting his hand take the glass away.

"So Is there any chance I can stay here tonight?" He asked as he sat the glass down on the table. I looked at him in confusion. "I just don't want to be at home tonight." he said as he got up with my glass and walked back to the kitchen.

"Yeah sure I don't see why not." I yelled from the couch. I watched as he came back in all relaxed with a smile on his face.

"Thanks. Now buddy what do want to do?" He asked as he looked at me.

"Well how about we go out. You'll need to help me around but we can go do something." I say as I look over at him.

"Okay its only 5:30. Do you have anything special in mind?" He asked.
