Bret POV-

Before Elijah left he had asked me to look after Sienna for him. To make sure she was okay and that Sabrina wasnt after her, but I didn't have to since Luke had stepped up and took care of her.

Well up untill he left to be there for Elijah and his mom. Which ment I now had to step up to the plate. I didnt mind much but I couldn't really do that in the last two weeks. She hasnt been at school since the week Luke left.

I had been worried beyond control as nobody had seen Sienna for two weeks. Of course nobody really cared but a few did and they where the ones who had secretly always wanted to be her friend but where afraid of Sabrina. Like always Sabrina ruined something for Sienna. The few that wanted to be her friends where the ones that knew where Sienna lived from doing projects and what not.

All day I've been sitting on the porch of the house they said was hers as I waited for someone to arrive. Nobody was home when I knocked earlier.

I watched as cars went by on the street untill finally a jeep pulled up in the drive way. There was an older looking woman and a very pale, tired, and surprised looking Sienna. I stood and took a few steps to the car, not really knowing what to do or say.

Sienna open the passenger door and began to get out when she collapsed to the floor. I jerked forward and lifted her off the floor. "Jesus Sienna" I shouted as I held her up. "What the hell is wrong with you?" I asked.

"Well funny story I-I'm ill" she whispered before giving me a small smile and shutting her eyes. Her body went limp in my arms as I quickly wrapped an arm under her legs and swooped her up. I didn't really know what to think as her mom lead me inside. Sienna's ill? How? From what?

"Bret is there anything I can do for you? Get you a glass of water, milk, or pop? Maybe some fo-" Sienna's mother asked as she took a step in the direction of the kitchen.

I cut her off by stating "I want to know what the heck is wrong with Sienna!"

"Um... I dont know. She dosnt like people knowing" her mother said as she rolled her hands together and stared to the left of me at Sienna's still body.

"Just tell me please" I begged as her mom's features twisted into sadness.

"Here come have a seat and Ill tell you what happened" Her mom whispered as she walked into the dinning room and took a seat.

"Thank you Miss. Lycan" I stated as I sat down in the chair across from her.

"Oh dear call me Danny. Okay well where do I began" She said as she looked at her hands. "Well we found out when her father left. She slowly began to be weaker and we went to the doctors and got medicines, but she always refused treatment. They said she only had 3 years and this is well her 3rd year. We both knew it was coming, the weakness, I mean. When she fell a few weeks ago I couldn't help but get the treatments. I couldn't just let her leave so soon." Her mother stated as tears began to run down her cheeks.

"Why is she still so weak?" I asked as I thought of what just happened outside.

"Well she just woke up a few hours ago and she needs to take some medicines which should help her gain strength and then hopefully everything will be better" Danny  says as she get up and walks over to the bar in the kitchen and grabbed her purse before walking back over to me. "I-I have to get to work, but your welcomed to stay and watch tv or whatever. Um... If she wakes up can you tell her to take two of these and one of these. If you decide to leave do you mind leaving her a note then. Well I better go Bret" She finished after handing me two prescribed prescription bottle's with Sienna's name on them. I watched as she walked out the door wiping the tears of her cheeks and putting on a fake smile. I wonder if Sienna had been putting that fake smile on for the last couple years too.

I looked over at Sienna to see her still out cold. I didn't even know who she was until her and Elijah got together. I mean I saw her around the hall's and stuff but I never knew she truly was.

I sighed as I sat the bottle's on the table by the couch and walked out side, making sure the door was unlocked before, I shut the door. I pulled my phone out and dialed up Luke. I waited for the ring and his voice.

"Bret! My man I haven't heard from you in forever" Luke shouted through the phone. I laughed at his obnoxious behavior.

"Hey Luke. How's things over there?" I asked as I thought of Elijah's mom.

"Good, the treatments are going well. We should be home in about a month or two, depends on how she is by then." He says. I nod even though he can't se me. "How's things over there?" He asks.

"There um getting better." I say as I look at Sienna's home. "School is boring as always, um people are missing you guys a lot, and I'm actually with Sienna right now." I state.

"God your with that slut" He sneered through the phone.

"What are you talking about. I thought-" I began to speak when he cut me off.

"She was just using Elijah and me before leaving to be with some Bastard that she loves."

"No. You have it wrong, She wouldn't do that to you or Elijah." I said as my voice began to rise. He doesn't realize what was/is really going on. "She isn't that kind of person Luke. She lov-"

"She told me herself Bret. She was just using us and she probably is using you too. in a month or even sooner she will be off with some dick. Elijah doesn't want to talk to her unless he really has to so you don't need to keep your promise anymore." He stated as he hung up.

I stared at the phone in amazement. That couldn't be true she loved Elijah more than anyone would think possible. You could see it in her eyes when ever he left to go to class her eyes would dull, but when he came back around, her eyes would light up with so much happiness. It had to be a lie.
