Chapter 7

Rosie's POV

A gloved hand tore me and Raoul apart and before I knew it, a gloved fist had punched Raoul in the jaw which was the result of him falling.

I gasped. I didn't want him to be hurt. I stood there shocked as Raoul got up and started fighting the man who I once thought was my father.

I felt my mother's arms wrap around me from behind as she pulled me away from the fight so I wouldn't get hurt.

For a while they just kept going at it. Someone had to stop them before someone was seriously injured or dead. In all honesty I didn't want either of them to be hurt or dead.

I loved them both. Even though one of them kidnapped me when I was a baby. I finally worked up the courage to tear them apart. "ALRIGHT THAT IS ENOUGH!" Both of them stopped fighting and looked shocked, maybe even startled.

I stood between them and looked from Raoul to Eric. Raoul to Eric. My blood was boiling. I was furious.

I looked at Eric. "Why are you here?," I asked coldly. He was shocked by my sudden change of attitude. He knew I was scared. Over the years he learned to read my emotions.

"I was afraid something had happened to you. You weren't in your room. You had your mother and I worried," he replied casually. I stared at him with curiosity. "But you aren't my parents, are you?"

My father looked at me with complete shock. Them he looked over at my mother who ha tears in her eyes as she put her head down in shame. My father was still frozen so my mother or Meg answered my question.

"Rosie, when you were born, Eric and I found out that there was something wrong which resulted in the fact that we couldn't have children.

Your father was greatly disappointed and even attempted to commit suicide. Eventually he learned that Christine and had just had a baby girl.

I tried to talk your father out of it, but he was angry that Christine and Raoul could have a baby, but we couldn't. I couldn't stop him from kidnapping you. I'm sorry." I stared at Meg and then looked over at Eric.

Tears welled up in my eyes. I couldn't believe what I just heard. I looked at Raoul and I couldn't help what I did next. I ran straight into his arms.

Raoul instantly hugged me back and I cried into his shirt.

Raoul's POV

Rosie looked at me and then at Eric and Meg. I noticed that she had tears in her eyes. She then turned and ran into my arms. I hugged her back and held her as she cried. I looked at Eric and Meg.

"I think it's best if I take her home where she belongs. I thank you for taking care of her for all of these years and Christine and I appreciate what you have done, but next time if you Eric come near my daughter again, I will have you arrested. Come on darling."

She looked up at me, tears still in her eyes and she asked, "Can I at least say goodbye to Meg?" I had to grant her this much.

I looked back at Meg and I felt bad. She couldn't have children and Rosie was her only child, not by blood of course.

I nodded my head, allowing her my permission. I watched her run over and embraced Meg.

I hated doing this, but I promised Christine that I would find Rosie and bring her back even though we eventually gave up on finding her.
