(Shadow's P.O.V.)

It's been about a week now since the incident. I was happy though since Crystal was now back from the hospital. Apparently she would have gotten out much earlier if she didn't kept reopening her wound by jumping around and moving so much.

I was sitting in science with Crystal humming next to me while writing down something. "SONIC FOR THE LAST TIME, YOU CAN'T JUST MAKE YOUR OWN FORMULA!!!!" Dr. Eggman yelled out that blue head idiot. They're always so noisy. Crystal giggled a bit enjoying the scene in front of us.

"I got this Eggy, just watch." As soon as he said that, I grabbed Crystal and put her under my lab coat that we have to wear when using chemicals. Don't asked why.

Luckily Chris was backing up in front up us. Now I don't have to worry about myself. Everyone backed up as Sonic started to tilt the tube. This was a normal thing that happened every time we used chemicals.

Crystal tried to peek out of my large coat, but I kept her still so nothing would happen to her. I don't want her to go back to the hospital again. *DROP!* The drop of the chemical made its way down to mix with the other chemical.

We all braced our self for the explosion. "..............................." Nothing happened. Odd. "See guys, I got th-" *BOOM* The room was clouded with black smoke and everyone was coughing. "This....." Sonic coughed up then felled over from the impact. I shook my head at how stupid he was.

Crystal was fidgeting under my coat. I opened it up a little so she could breath. "Are you ok Crystal?" She coughed up a little smoke before saying yea.... We hardly got hit thanks to Chris.

He turned around noticing us. I smirked a bit from the now blacked hair and body boy. "You know.... I'm not just some human shield." He glared at me. "It's not my fault you backed up in front of us." I looked away uninterested.

"Are you ok Chris?" Crystal piped up, popping her head out of my coat. "His face softened a bit when he saw her. "I will be after I clean up. Thanks for asking." He smiled at her with her smiling back. I just rolled me eyes.

"DETENTION!!!!" Egghead yelled. Sonic got up from the floor. "But I still need to make up for the last time...." He whined. "Good so you have triple the detention now!!!" Dr. growled while gritting his teeth. "You could start by cleaning up this mess."

Sonic did what he was told, mumbling away. I let go of Crystal and she got her paper for today's assignment and turned it in. I shook my head at the sight. No matter what the cost is, she still does her work and gets it turned in. The doctor just sweat dropped at the sight and said thanks to her while she returned to my side smiling away to the world.

The bell ringed and we headed off home. "Hey Nickey, want to walk with me and the others." Pointing to Alicia, Silver, Chris, and me. Amelia walked up to Nickey looking a little sad. "Sorry Crystal, we have practice after school..."

Nickey plays football I think but I didn't know what Amelia played. "Oh, that's ok. Have fun!" Crystal patted her back with a goofy grin on her face. Nickey just giggled. "I will bye and be safe."

She ran off with Amelia close behind. We walked out the school and to a park like area until Chris made us stop. We all looked confused. "We're going to take a detour. I still promised Crystal that I'd show her how to have fun."

Crystal just laughed, pointing at Chris. "You show me? I think not." Crystal challenged Chris. "Fine then, it's on!!!" Chris said running off with Crystal following behind. "I'm going to head home. Coming boys?"

I shook my head while Silver nodded. "I promised I'd take her home after their 'adventure'." I air quoted while turning and walking off. "Guess I'll be making dinner tonight." Alicia and Silver laughed walking back home.

'Note to self: Be on guard while walking in the house.' I did a mental note since they loved playing pranks on me while I was out of the house. "Come on Shady hurry up!!! Hurry up! Hurry up!"

Crystal repeated over and over again, jumping up and down til I made it to her side. She was dizzy after a while but shook it off and looked for something to challenge Chris in a 'fun' event. This was going to be a long day.
