I put the blessed stake into the last one and wiped my forehead.

“Finally over,” I sighed and placed my stake in my back pocket. I looked at the dissolving figures in front of me.  I felt someone sneaking up on me, so I turned around and jumped it while pulling out my stake.

“Whoa! Whoa! Relax it’s me, Adrian.” I looked down and rolled my eyes. It was my boyfriend. What will I do with this boy? I pulled him up.

“God, why do you sneak up on me? Especially at a time like this! You could’ve been a demon for all I know,” I said smacking the back of his head.

“Ouch,” he said rubbing his head.

“Take a joke why don’t you? I can’t believe you didn’t call for backup. There was a bunch of demons. You could’ve gotten hurt! Good thing I came,” he said worried. I snorted.

“Good thing you came? Before you sneaked up on me, I had finished the last one,” I said crossing my arms proving to be very stubborn.

 “Aw come on,” he said pulling my face towards him. He put his lips on mine, no response from me.

“I know you can’t resist me,” he said confidently which made me laugh and finally respond.

“Oh come on! I walk in on the worst moment all the time!” I looked around to see who said that. It was my best friend Elysia. Oh my, there’s literally no way for me to explain Elysia- she is as unique as her name.

 “How does everyone get into my house?” I exclaimed.

“The demons broke the lock of your front door and I chose to walk in and-oh my god you have gummy bears?!?!” she said then ran over to the table grabbing the bag of gummy bears and jumped on the couch turning on the TV.

“It’s like she lives here,” I said shaking my head.

“Shush! Adventure Time is on!” she yelled making me and Adrian chuckle. I grabbed a Gatorade and we sat at the other couch watching with her. I love this cartoon, but I could see Adrian was slowly getting bored.

“Adrian don’t you dare make out or do anything else with Amy here just because you’re bored , I didn’t come here to watch free porn,” Elysia said casually.

 “Elysia!” I yelled while choking on my drink. Adrian was just smirking as always.

“What? I’m just warning him. You can never trust dudes,” she said then continued watching.  The front door opened, again.

“Hola mi amigos!” my other best friend Danni yelled randomly walking through the front door.

“Yeah hi (Adrian)…sup dude (me)…OMG you’re alive! (Elysia),” were the kind of response she got from us. 

“Guess what?!” she said excitedly.

“CHICKEN BUTT?!” me and Elysia yelled at the same time.

“ Nope, not this time. I got accepted to UCLA!” she exclaimed throwing an envelope at Elysia.

“Oh my god, she got accepted to go to university!” Elysia yelled.

“My little girl is growing up,” I said, and she rolled her eyes for she was older than me. I was 17 years old-going to turn 18 in November - and I had just finished high school- finally out of that hell hole. Elysia is the same age as me. Well, she was ten days older than me. Adrian is 20 and Danni is 18. It’s been a year since she finished high school and she’s been working her butt off for university, so believe me, she deserved it.

“Amy, why didn’t you apply to go to UCLA? It’s been your dream since forever!” Danni said.

 “Yeah my dream until I figured out I’m one of the demon hunters. I couldn’t have handled both university and this damn job and I have no idea how you’re going to do it,” I said throwing gummy bears into my mouth.

“Yeah I started college once, but I quit after one year. Plus my parents are rich, no need to work,” Adrian said. Danni shook her head in disappointment.

“Plus you’ve always been the smart one, and I’m happy for you,” I said to make her feel better.

 “What about you Elysia?” she asked.

“Huh? Oh I plan on getting a part-time job at Hot Topic,” she said.

 “Oh! Maybe I can work with you!” I said.

“Yeah, that would be awesome!” Elysia said.

“Is that what you plan on doing with your futures?” Danni said.

“Boo!” me and Elysia said throwing gummy bears at her. She laughed.

“Ok, ok, sorry I sounded like a mom,” she said then jumped on the couch and we opened a movie channel, I was praying that no demon would interrupt this perfect moment.

Yeah…this is basically my life.
