Epilogue
Judas
I could finally see her. I was by the mountains, where the brightest light within all the darkness was last here on earth. I knew why I could see her. She was going to sacrifice herself. I swallowed.
This was my fault. This was all my fault.
Luther had told me, though I could sense her, I would be only able to see her, when she was ready to sacrifice herself. Sacrifice herself, for everything.
And now I could see her.
She turned around to face me.
"Judas?" She asked.
"Lorelei, what are you doing?" I asked her, touching her shoulder.
"H-how can you see me?" She asked, a tear ran down her cheek.
I ran my finger over the tear, wiping it away. "Don't cry." I whispered. "Luther told me that I would be able to see you only when you were ready to sacrifice yourself."
She nodded, "I am ready to sacrifice myself." She whispered.
No, no, no! I thought.
"Don't do this." I said, "I'm so sorry Lorelei."
"It's a bit too late now Judas, you should have said something before. Gave me a chance." She swallowed, and I watched her.
"I never thought it would come to this." I whispered, stepping towards the darkness. Towards Lorelei.
She swallowed, looking at me. "Neither did I," I whispered, stepping away from me. "I'm sorry, I have to do this."
She looked at me one last time, before a bright light came into view.
I had to shield the light from my eyes with my arm. When the light slowly disappeared, she was there, lying on ground. She was still. Dead.
I had done this, I had killed her. She had done this for me. I was the one that treated her like nothing. This was my fault.
I may have not felt the same as she did, but it didn't mean I didn't feel guilty. I did, I did feel guilty. I wanted to do something about it.
I wanted to show her, that maybe, just maybe I could have felt the same as she did, if I wasn't so rude. If I had given her a chance.
I had to bring the light back to the world. To show her that I may have loved her back.
I went to Luther, to visit him. I wanted to ask him to reverse what Lorelei had created.
When I asked him, he said he could do such a thing as long as I gave him something in return.
I agreed to his terms and told him, I'd do anything to turn the darkness back to light.
"I want your soul." He said, "your soul will be away from you, but you will still be here. Your soul will be sent to the woman that loved you, and be told that bringing the light back from the darkness is a sign that you might have loved her." Luther smiled. "That's what you want, don't you?"
"Yes, Luther." I nodded.
"Good." He smiled and grabbed me. I felt my soul leaving my body and I collapsed onto the floor.
I just hoped my soul would reach her and she would see the light as a sign that I may have been able to grown to love her, like she grew to love me.
If only I had just given her a chance.
Soon the darkness left came to light and finally everything came into place, like it was meant to, for her.
