Epilouge
Jessie's POV
I stand on the large remake of the amulet in the middle of the town we had helped some of the survivors of the storm build.
The place was beautiful.
It had walls surrounding it.
We had a large fortress that we planned to live together.
It was no treehouse, but it was still nice.
Petra in the end decided to stay with us, and surprisingly Lukas joined us as well.
It was something that might cause us problems cause of Aiden and his friends, or minions, but right now I didn't want to worry about that.
Or anything.
Right now I wanted to take all of this in.
This was my home now.
And the crowd that cheers my name along with my friends looked at us as heroes.
Real heroes.
Gabriel walks up onto the stage, his eyes free from their pinkness from the storm, all his memories returning once the storm was dead.
He waves to the crowd that cheers loudly at the sight.
"Perhaps they deserve to know the truth." He whispers, making me cross my arms.
I nod to him.
"Gabriel, you owe it to them to tell the truth." I state, making him nod.
He knew it was true, and he knew he had to do it.
It was the only thing that made sense to Jessie.
Telling the truth about the old order seemed right.
But she couldn't help but feel guilty about not telling her friends about her past.
But maybe one day she would.
"Shush!" Gabriel shushes the crowd, waving his hand to get their attention.
The crowd looks to him with eyes filled with wonder.
I feel a pang of regret.
Maybe I should have let them believe.
"Everyone! There is something you need to know about the Order of the stone before the cerimony can begin." Gebriel starts.
Ivor, who stands off to the side with Ellegaurd and Magnus, looks shocked.
Soren hadn't been seen since he ran off, so he wasn't here.
Next time I see him I'll have to remember to give him a good old right hand.
"We have lied to you. We didn't really do the things we said." Gabriel sighs, making the crowd look confused.
"We used the command block to falsify our legacy." He states, sounding so ashamed.
The crowd looks so betrayed.
Though I had second thoughts, it is for the best they know.
I rest my hand on Gabriel's shoulder, giving him a reasurring look.
He nods to me.
"Thank you all for listening, now I had the stage over to the real heroes.." Gabriel states, going back to the order.
Ivor gives him a nod, and I have a feeling there won't be any more fights between the two of them.
Petra nods for me to say something.
What do I say?
"Wow. I'm not exactly sure what to say." I state awkwardly, making the crowd laugh.
Okay, I'm funny apparently.
Stay with that Jessie, stay with that.
"If you would have told me when I first came to Endercon, that I would be standing here with a group of people I had only just met, as a team, and as a family?" I start, making them all look ready for some amazing speech.
"I probably would have asked you if you fell from a high place." I state, making them laugh.
Petra let's out a laugh, knowing the truth behind my statement.
"But now? We've all lived through things that I hope some people never have to go through." I state.
"And others I can only hope you all get to experience." I say, sneaking a galnce at Petra.
"Pain, greif, regret, anger, confusion." I state, making the crowd look sad.
"But then there was love. Friendship, faith, curiosity, bravery, and all the other things that happened." I say, making the crowd cheer up.
"But of course, I couldn't have done any of this without my family." I state, making my group walk forward.
"There was Lukas, who might just be the best builder I know. Or the worst." I tease, making the crowd laugh.
He does too, happy to have friendly teasing.
"There was Axle, who probably couldn't be stopped by the strongest restraints when he had his explosives." I laugh, making the crowd smile up at us.
I turn to Olivia, who stands a spot away from me.
"Then there was Olivia. She has to be the best Redstone engineer I've ever seen. And she's the best friend I could have asked for." I state, making Olivia look like she might start crying.
Petra and I stand right beside each other, making it hard to ignore the looks she's giving me.
"And then there was Petra. The best damn fighter you will ever meet. She's also one of the most brave people you'll ever meet. I wouldn't be here today without her." I state, giving her a similar loving look she's giving me.
The crowd looks so touched already.
Apparently I'm good at this.
"We stuck together through the storm, keeping each other safe, our focus on defeating that thing." I state, making the order smile.
They were proud, or they looked it, especially Ivor.
He was the only thing that reminded me of home.
He looked like my dad.
And sometimes acted like it.
But I could only thank the man for that.
"We always had each others backs, and knew when to give each other a good shake when our heads were getting too big." I laugh, making the crowd laugh.
"Its just the way we are." I state.
"Yeah, we really are." Petra says quietly beside me.
The crowd quiets down again.
"We may have lost my brother in the battle, but he was brave, and I know he would have wanted exactly this. The whole world safe from that monster." I state, making Olivia look a little downcast at the mention of Reuben.
"But you know what really mattered in the end?" I ask, making the crowd look up at me.
Even my friends were waiting for something amazing.
"Finishing what we set out to do. Because we weren't about to let a world this cool go to waste." I finish, making the crowd look impressed.
I look to my friends then scream "We did it!"
The crowd goes insane, and the group onstage huggs in one huge circle.
"Did you mean all that Jessie?" Lukas asks, looking impressed with the speech.
I laugh.
"Oh I definetly meant all of it. Especially the part of you maybe being a terrible builder." I tease, making him laugh.
Then his face goes serious.
"Nice joke." He states, making us laugh.
Someone tapps me on the shoulder and we break away from our hug.
Ellegaurd stands there, holding a purple neather star.
"Jessie. Would you do the honours of putting this star that fell when you and your friends defeated the storm, on the pedistal up there?" She asks, making me slowly take the star.
I couldn't believe this was actually happening.
Petra pushes me toward the beacons.
"Dude! Go!" She states, making me look back at her.
I was nervous, but as soon as I looked into her eyes I felt fine.
I give her a nod of thanks before climbing the slope up to the purple glass in Tue middle.
I feel a tear fall down onto it.
Not sure why, I was relatively happy.
But it felt nice to happy cry.
I've cried too many sad tears.
With confident movements, I place the star on its pedistal, backing up when the ground shook slightly.
Then colorful beams blast up into the sky, taking me off guard.
I can feel the amulet glowing, lighting up the entire sky like when the others revived me.
I walk to the others, the light glowing behind me from the amuelt.
"Ladies and gentlemen! May I announce to you the new Order of the Stone!" Gabriel shouts from the side lines.
Petra's hand links with mine before anyone else's, sending a small shock through me.
Then Lukas takes my left hand, Axle takes his, and Olivia takes Petra's.
We raise our hands together like at the end of an amazing performance.
But I can tell that this is far from the end.
Besides?
What kinda of story ends like this that doesn't have a sequel?
.....
Oh my god. That was so hard to write! Mainly cause it was the last chapter, but at the same time I loved writing it.
Like, you guys have no idea how cute I was planning on this to be.
But yes, I am thinking of a sequel.
Don't expect anything too soon, but I can say there may be news of what I decide later today.
I hope you enjoyed this story, and I hope to see you all soon!
