Jesse's POV

I creep down the dark stairs, feeling my heart race slightly.

Jesse! Why are yo udoing this!? He's a jerk! And who cares! You're going to be home soon anyway!

I shake away the though.

Even though I might be going home soon, I can't sit back and let everything pass me by.

If I'm going to be here for a while, I might as well make it worth while, right?

I peek around the corner, seeing the golem pacing back and forth around the room.

Great... Just great.

I creep forward, ducking behind shelf's and chests whenever the golem turns in my direction.

Once I'm in the hiding spot from before, I let myself whisper.

"Lukas? Where are you?" I say quietly, hoping that the golem doesn't hear.

The chest directly across from me opens slightly, his peircung blue eyes staring out.

"Jesse? What are you doing here?" He growls slightly, but his eyes were filled with fear.

I couldn't believe that this 'tough' jerky guy had the nerve to make fun of her new friends, when he didn't even have the guts to make a run for it when he had the chance.

"Here to rescue you. Don't argue. Just run when I tell you to." I whipser, see I g the golem walking into the dead end room.

I duck my head so that I'm pressed against the stone floor, hidden from the walking body gaurd.

Once its back is turned I take the potion in front of me, looking around.

My gaze lands on a shelf cover in potions, only held up with a stick.

Perfect.

Once the golem is close enough she throws the potion, making smash onto the stick.

It falls from its place, making the bottles smash over the back of the iron monster.

It makes an odd noise in pain.

"Run Lukas!" I shout, making him bolt out of the chest and towards the entrance.

I jump out of my hiding place, only to be hit hard by the iron arms, thrown backwards towards the entrance.

Before my very eyes I can see the skull I had fall to the ground by the golem.

"No!" I shout, feeling pain go through my back as I attempt to get up.

Once I'm up I realize the golem isn't done, making me run up the stairs as fast as I can, closing the door behind me.

My breath comes out in short gasps from the hot I just took, and Lukas stands there, shocked.

"Why. Why did you save me?" He asks, eyes filled with confusion.

I huff, straightening.

"Just cause you're a jerk doesn't mean you shouldn't be allowed to live." I answer, walking away from the blond.

I left him speechless as he follows me to the others, who are trying to convince Gabriel.

Once I show up however, he can't stop staring.

"I'm sorry, but we are going to have to move on." Gabriel says, sounding agitated.

The way him and Ivor looked at me, it feels like they know I don't belong.

And now I know it.

"Please! You have to listen to us!" Olivia cries.

"Yeah! We can prove it! Jesse has one of the skulls!" Petra states, making all eye turn to me.

I awkwardly walk over to Petra, whipwring, "I dropped the skull when I went back for Lukas. The golem hit me too far from it to get it back."

She sighs.

"Never mind." She mutters, looking disappointed.

I let my head hang.

Before our group can argue anymore, a man starts pushing his was to the front of the crowd.

"Oh sir! I have a question. Is it true anyone can truley be great?" The man asks, his voice familiar, but without his face...

"Yes. With enough hard work." Gabriel replies.

The man finally comes into sigh, making our group narrow our eyes.

But I realize what he's about to do.

"Oh. Is that it? I didn't work hard enough?!" Ivor shouts angrily, making Gabriel gasp slightly.

"Ivor?" He asks, making us all shocked.

He knew this jerk?

Ivor walks onto the stage, a huge evil smirk on his face.

Though I'm pretty sure he didn't realize it was evil.

"Oh Gabriel. Nothing can last forever." Ivor hisses, walking toward the back of the stage.

"Gabriel! Yo I have to stop him!" I shout, making him look back at me.

Again, his brown eyes glare into mine, not in hate like Ivor, but something else.

The back wall opens up, revealing the wither with two heads on it.

"Oh, and thank you Jesse for returning what you stole." Ivor sneers, taking out the skull I dropped.

"No!" I should, feeling guilt go through me.

The blocks explode, blowing the two off the stage and onto the ground.

The crowd however is running away, while the group I'm with stares in terror at what happened.

One of its heads shoots for me, making me barrel out of the way, only to almost be hit with another.

If I hadn't dropped that stupid skull!

"This is all my fault." I whipser, looking around.

Petra is dodging the explosions of the heads while Axle is making sure Reuben isn't taken out by one.

"Someone! Help me!" Olivia shouts, making me turn.

She struggles to keep Gabriel from floativn away into the purple beam.

I sprint forward, taking hold of the hero's foot.

Olivia give me a sidglance, one that starts filled with distrust, but fades to gratitude.

We work together, pulling him out of the purple bean and onto the floor.

Olivia nods to me in thanks before going to help Axle.

"Thank you, Jesse. I can't defeat this thing by myself, and everyone is running away. Except for you and your friends." He coughs, getting to his feet.

The rest of the group runs over, standing in a circle.

"Don't worry! I can stop this!" Ivor shouts, pulling out a purple potion.

"Uh oh." Olivia and Axle say simultaneously.

Ivor throws the potion at the command block, nothing happening.

"What! I took such care!" He shouts, making Axle take out a similar looking potion.

He took the real one....

I take it throwing it at the command block.

Only to have it protect itself before it can hit the block.

Guilt goes through me.

I missed, and I dropped that skull.

Ivor stares in fear before running away.

"We need to get to my fortress, we'll be safe there!" Gabriel shouts, each of us follows him, and I fall in beside Axle, who holds Reuben on his shoulders.

I take a quick glance back to see the wither storm had gathered most of the blocks of the arena, building itself onto a gigantic storm.

A Wither Storm......

Oh my god.

Suddenly things become clear.

If there's no Jesse or Reuben, like in the trailers, then that means we came and replaced them.

So to get home....

"I have to defeat the wither storm." I whisper, realizing that I'm now surrounded by chickens.

I push through them, only to get caught in a tractor beam.

"No! Someone! Help!" I shout, seeing a chicken struggle through the beam and making it out.

When no one returns my cries I pull myself forward on the price of debris being pulled with me, rolling off and landing hard on my knees.

I continue to run, jumping over a group of chickens.

"Holy crap!" Lukas stares, stopping me.

I want to push past the jerk, but there's something in his eyes.

"Jesse, I, thanks." He says, making me nod.

We run to the others, who scowl at the arrival of the blond.

"Come on! Let's get to that fortress!" I say, seeing the hit were under being torn from the ground.

The others run while Petra slowly floats upwards.

"Jesse! Help me!" She shouts, eyes filled with fear.

I jump, taking her hand and using the other to hold onto a fence.

"I can't hold on!" I huff, both of us staring directly into each other's eyes.

The fence breaks, and just before both can float away, Gabriel pulls both girls out of the beam.

"Let's move!" He shouts.

We catch up to the others, rolling under the closing gate of endercon.

Many people are running towards the fortress, but a large, flaming tree splits our path into two.

Olivia, Axle and Reuben are on one side and Petra, Gabriel and Lukas are on the other side, both with many other unfamiliar people.

I turn slightly to follow Reuben and the others, knowing that if anything happened and I wasn't there to help, I couldn't bare it.

I dodge pot holes from the exploding heads, almost tripping into one.

A large wall of fire is ahead, and I see Axle jump over with Reub on his shoulders, making me sigh in relief.

I leap over the falmes, feeling the lick against my feet.

I catch up with Gabriel, us being the last two to enter the fortress.

While I was running I hadn't noticed that worst of the civilians that had been running with us had been taken by the storm, making my heart swell.

Are they dead?

I try to keep the thought away.

Now its only my friends, Lukas and gabriel.

"Let's get inside. The inner chamber is lined with obisidian." He state, ushering us all through the piston doors.

"Go through the portal!" He shouts as he fights off a tentacle.

Axle runs through the empty portal, just ending up on the other side.

"Uh..... Something's not right here." He says, making each of them look worried.

I pull out the lighter that I had left in my overalls form camping before I bought the game, lighting the portal.

Petra stares at the odd object, but I ignore it, stepping back.

Axle takes Reuben and runs through the portal, followed by Olivia.

Before Petra, Lukas and I can run through we turn to see that the roof has been torn off, revealing tentacles and tractor beams.

"We have to help Gabriel!" I shout as the tentacle he was fighting tries to pull him through the door.

Petra nods, taking out the golden sword she found in Ivor's basement.

I take out the stone one and we rush forward.

A tentacle get in my way, making me jump over it effortlessly.

Petra stays back and fights it as I pull Gbreiel out from the clutches of the Wither Storm.

"Jesse, thank you." He mutters, looking around at the carnage.

"Jesse, I can't do this by myself. Take this amulet, go to the temple, find the rest of the order. The amulet will lead you to them." He says, holding it out for me to take.

A chill goes through me.

"Why me? I don't even belong here." I state, making a small smile rest on the man's face.

"Maybe not, but I believe in you Jesse. Take the amulet, find the order." He days, giving it to me.

I put it away, not really wanting to be the one to do this.

Petra yelps from behind me, almost being flattened into the floor by the tentacle.

I rush forward, hitting it hard with my sword.

"Get into the portal!" Gabriel shouts, holding off another tentacle.

Petra and I run to the portal, with Lukas ready to enter through it as well.

Then Gabriel gasps, making us stop.

A tractor beam.

Petra and I rush towards him, only to have the red head almost walk right into a tractor beam.

I push her out of the way, getting caught myself.

"Lukas! Help me save Jesse!" She shouts, trying to pull Gabriel from the beam.

Before she can get him down a tentacle slams into her, making her and Lukas fly through the portal, leaving Gabriel and I to float upwards towards the storm.
