Chapter 32

Jessie's POV

I yawn as we patiently wait for Ivor to finish off his broken curicut.

Well, most of us are patient anyway.

"Can't you hurry this up Ivor? We have your Storm to defeat!" Soren sneers.

Jeeze. This guy needed to calm himself down.

When I had met Soren in the end, I thought he was okay, you know, one of those guys that was kinda chill.

Despite him being insane.

But turns out he was the order member I found myself hating the most.

Ivor was more friendlier towards me strangely.

Almost like me coming back to help meant something.

Which it obviously did, but I still couldn't shake the feeling off that I was missing something.

Ivor was always against me, and suddenly now he's all buddy buddy.

It freaked me out a bit, but the more people I have on my side the better right?

"Alright. Now, I want you all to be sure that when I flip the lever, that you are aware of everything once you get through this door." Ivor states.

We all nod, but as always Soren doesn't seem to have listened to any of that.

Jeeze, what's his problem?

The door is opened, and I see the problem almost immediately.

A trip wire on one of the steps.

Soren grumbles and begins to walks down the stairs, not seeming to notice.

I rush forward, tugging him back, but his feet have already touched the wire.

We both look back to see that no one else has made it to the other side.

Great. Now I'm stuck alone with Soren.

Have I been a terrible person my whole life without knowing it and is this the world getting its revenge?

"Jessie! Are you okay!" Petra's voice just makes it through the door.

I shoot a glare at Soren but responding with "Yeah. Both of us are good. Can you get through the wall?"

There is muffled arguing in the silence.

"It might take us a while." Petra confesses.

I look back to Soren.

"We don't have a while." He states.

"Finally something we both agree on." I grumble.

"We are going to start looking! We will meet you all down there!" I shout.

I can just make out some sort of muffled complaint.

But we both ignore it, walking down the stairs with Soren leading blindly.

We reach a room, locked with Iron doors, with pedistals everywhere.

And on those pedistals?

Treasures.

"He kept them?" Soren whispers, walking around the room.

"What is all this?" I ask, looking around at all the odd objects.

Sroren smiles for the first time since I've come back.

"The treasures of the order of the stone." He states.

He begins going on and on about the stories behind all of them, which I listen to as I inspect all the strange objects.

A dragon egg, prizamrine crystals, sea lantern, gast tears, and a block of packed ice.

Weird treasures but okay.

"Jessie? What are you doing?" Soren calls, looking cheesed that I wasn't paying attention.

Yeah he looked cheesed.

"Oh, I just wanted to try something to see if taking all the treasures off their pedistals did anything. Cause you know, they are rested on pressure plates." I point out.

Soren takes a look.

"So they are." He grumbles as if he should have noticed it first.

God, this guy was getting onto my last nerve.

I swipe them all away, seeing a wall reveal five hoppers.

Five hoppers, five treasures.

"Why is Ivor hiding a hopper in his basement?" He asks, making me shrug.

"Why not?" I counter, walking up with the items.

Maybe this could work...

I place the ghast tears into the first slot.

Then the Prizmarine.

Man I loved that word!

Followed by the lantern.

And then maybe the ice?

The only object left is the egg.

Must go into the last slot right?

Once its placed all the items fall into place, having the door fly open.

I breathe a sigh of relief.

If I had gotten that wrong I didn't want a block of ice spat out at my face.

"You did it. But there were one hundred and twenty different combinations!" He points out.

I smile.

"Well I'm really good at puzzles, and it helped that you explained the order in which you got them all." I explain.

He gapes.

Ha.

We walk into he next room.

Great.

Another puzzle.

I walk around the room, seeing the lantern pedistals with the banners, and I gigantic Enderdragon.

"Wow. Our times in the order must have meant a lot to Ivor." Soren mutters, touching his hand to a fake crystal.

Obviously.

"Are those endercrystals?" I inquire.

He nods.

"Yes. They are the very key to defeating the dragon." He replies.

Well duh, I've done it five times in Minecraft.

I know exactly how to defeat it.

But I wasn't going to start talking tactics with him.

"So, I haven't heard the story Soren. Think you could enlighten me?" I ask, making him quirk an eyebrow in my direction.

He sighs.

"Alright." He states.

"We had gone into the End ready for whatever the dragon could throw at us. I took out the first crystal with a well placed arrow. The second one I destroyed with the help of a shockwave from Magnus' TNT. And the third was taken out by Ellegaurd and her arrow machine. Then I jump up onto the dragon and steered it to the final crystal." He says, making my eyes widen.

There was no way.

"And then Gabriel gave his historical final blow." He finishes.

"You. You did all that?" I ask, not believeing a word of it.

Its impossible to finish off the dragon that quickly.

"Yes. We weren't called the Order of the Stone for nothing." He boasts.

I roll my eyes.

I'm going to freak if all that was a lie.

I walk around the pedistals, seeing that each one represented someone from the order.

So the pattern was Soren, Magnus, Ellegaurd, Gabriel right?

I click the buttons in that order, opening the first door.

"Ugh! Another one!" I groan.

Why couldn't Ivor be obsessed with bunnies or something?

Wait... I'm forgetting something.

The dragon had a lever on the back of its head.

Woah.

The tail of the dragon catches my eyes, making me walk over.

This was the only way up.

I jump up, pulling myself onto the tail.

"Jessie? What are you doing? This is no time for games." Soren scoffs, going back to doing nothing.

This is where I would normally snap at him for not helping, right?

I shake it away.

Whatever. I could do this on my own if I have to.

I balance my way over to the lever.

"Let's hope this works." I mutter before pulling it down.

The next set of doors open and I jump down, finding an impressed Soren awaiting.

Though it does seem like he's trying to hide it.

"That's it! You did it." He says, trying to hide the excitement.

We walk through the door, the book sitting right there in front of us.

Though that's not what we are staring at.

"That fool kept them?" Soren whispers, walking up to the strange looking crystals.

Wait those are....

"Soren. Aren't those Endercrystals?" I ask, unable to believe what I'm seeing.

Soren doesn't respond.

"He told us he took care of them for good!" Soren growls, making me confused.

My eyes widen.

The unbelievably short battle, the fights between them all, the crystals being here....

"You lied. Didn't you." I state, making Soren freeze.

He turns around, eyes filled with regret.

"Yes. We lied."

....

Oh...... Whatever. We all saw it coming. Or was I the only one the first time I played thinking "Yeah, sure you did all that"? Whatever. I hope you enjoyed the chapter! I'll send you all soon!
