Dear Hazel,

As promised, here's a letter to update you.

Its Christian's birthday tomorrow. Since your funeral, he hasn't been in contact with me so I have no idea if we are going to spend this one together like we did last year. Last year, on his birthday, we went to a bowling alley in town and that went pretty well. Except a drunk lady puking on Chris, haha. He was so pissed at that. Typical Chris.

I miss our friendship. I used to be so close with him. I'm not blaming you, but our friendship went downhill since he started his feelings for you. When you were dating him, he used to tell me that you're not a very good girl, that you're not a match to me. Only so that I'd stop crushing on you. Had I known he was developing feelings for you, I'd have sacrificed my feelings. But he finally told me when I was in too deep for you. It's his fault.

But he's still my best friend. We grew up together.
