Chapter 3- Hoseok will take care of it
Hoseok...This man was something else. He looks and acts like he's very approachable, kind hearted and bubbly but wait till he senses danger. He doesn't care about playing with hearts, it's knives that he likes playing with. You could call him a sadist, after all he is one. If someone had to the interrogating, it was Hoseok. It was his fixed job if the pack ever caught hold of someone.
Hoseok made his way to the kitchen from the basement, which was his torture room of course. He washed the blood off of his hands and threw the bloody knife he used on his victim on top of the pile of dishes that were yet to be washed.
The smell of blood had now faded which made it easier for him to sense that his brother was on his way back home. Hoseok opened the door and waited at the patio, seeing his brother jogging towards him.
"Taehyung you seem angry, why?" He asked through his pack link while his brother was still approaching him.
"Everybody in the living room right now, we have a problem." Taehyung growled through the pack link and everyone started making their way to the living room. Taehyung then explained the whole situation and was relieved that he wasn't the only one who was worried anymore. The pack members were all looking either at the floor or at eachother trying to understand if this girl was a wolf or a human.
"It's okay, I join your school tomorrow anyway. We'll deal with it." Hoseok broke the silence."You said she's in the dance team right?" He added you confirm.
"Yeah she'll audition for it tomorrrow. She'll get in without doubt. Apparently she showed a few steps to that over friendly vampire girl. Jennie told her that there's no way she won't get in." Taehyung answered.
"That sounds fun." Their maknae, Jungkook, who was a part of the dance team already, smirked at this.
"Jeon Jungkook she either has a witch on her side or she is one herself. Don't even think of putting a toe out of line." Jin, the eldest warned him.
"Don't worry, Hoseok will take care of it. He'll be teaching you dance from tomorrow but you three need to keep an eye on her. I mean it. At least one of you three should always know where she is and what she's doing. In case she shifts, we don't want to miss it. And if she does, I want you to immediately get her here." Their alpha, Namjoon instructed the three maknaes and they nodded while looking at each other.
"I'll check the grounds and come." Hoseok announced as he started to walk out the door when Namjoon stopped him, "I'll come with you Hope. We'll talk tomorrow's plan through."
The two shifted into their wolf forms and started sprinting while communicating through their pack links.
The night was stressful for everyone. Hwasa was sulking in her room. She got a vision in which Nina was crying in her room alone. She knew exactly why that was going to happen and she didn't like seeing her that way. What bothered her more was the fact that she knew Nina had to go through these things now that she was out in the real world. Hwasa couldn't tell her sisters because they wouldn't want to let Nina be, they wouldn't let her experience what she needed to in order to grow. If Hwasa was being honest with herself, she didn't want to see Nina experience those things either. However, she knew that it was necessary, she knew that Nina couldn't be protected from everything. Their house was Nina's home, not her prison. They would want her to find her home comfortable enough to cry in. They wouldn't want her to runaway and feel more lonely cause she can't express herself in her own home.
Nina woke up excited the next morning and her unnies could see through her sad effort of trying to look uninterested about her second day of school. She told her unnies about Taehyung and they didn't seem too worried as Hwasa would tell them if they were supposed to do something about it. It was a bad habit that not only the witches, but Nina too had developed over time. They would stop caring about things if Hwasa wouldn't worry about it. They were overly dependant on her powers.
Wheein took Nina in the backyard to properly spray a larger amount of the potion on her. She had basketball and dance today. If she didn't put a larger amount her scent would get stronger because of the sweat.
Hwasa quickly managed to hide a small tiffin box stuffed with Wheein's mood maker muffins under Nina's extra pair of clothes that she had carried for her dance class. Moonbyul and Solar glared at her, they figured that something bad was going to happen to Nina. But before Hwasa could even ask them to keep quiet about it, Moonbyul asked her, "Is this why you look like you cried all night?"
Hwasa nodded her head with a pout and told them that they didn't have to worry about it. Nina walked back in the house, took her bag and asked her unnies if they could drop her to school today since she was feeling a little lazy to run. Not being able to decide who would go to drop her, all four of them hopped in the car and Nina followed them. Her heart always felt full because of her unnies. She loved them so much.
They dropped her two blocks away from the school so they don't get seen by anyone who knows them. They were very well known witches and were feared by many people.Nina walked her way to school and saw Jennie waiting at the gate. Jennie saw her just a few seconds later and gestured for her to hurry up. Nina giggled and started to jog.
"You have an amazing sense of fashion." Jennie stated as the two went inside the building. Looking down at her black cropped shirt and mom jeans, Nina questioned the compliment but thanked her anyway.
Nina's day went super smooth. Taehyung wasn't acting weird at all so Nina was confused. This guy was being too cool for someone who almost jumped her while he was in his wolf form not even 24 hours ago. But apart from that her day was perfect. She made so many new friends and got to know more about the vampires and werewolves that attended the school. Johnny was Jennie's elder brother but it didn't seem like it for some reason. During lunch, Jennie got Nina to her usual table and introduced her to Lisa, Rosie and Jisoo who were humans but Jennie's best friends. Nina wasn't surprised. Even though she was told by her unnies to stay cautious all the time, she somehow never felt threatened by Jennie, no one did.
The three new girls were also a part of the basketball team. The three of them seemed to think very lowly of Johnny. Apparently Johnny was 'a fuckboy, a pervert and a blood thirsty piece of crap' in Jisoo's words. Jennie just sat there and listened. She didn't deny at all so Nina understood that they weren't lying. Jennie told Nina that she would make her meet Johnny later so that he'd know she's friends with Jennie and will stay away from her.
Nina was happy with her company. After the lectures got over, she got out of the class with Jennie to go get changed for the basket ball try out. She was in the changing room, about to remove her extra pair of clothes from her bag when she spotted the box of muffins. She immediately knew something was going to go wrong.
Nina assumed it was her not being able to get into the dance team and made no big deal of it. Jennie got a phone call so she told Nina to carry on and warm up with the team. There were no werewolves or vampires in the team except for Jennie, and now Nina too. The team was actually very welcoming, probably cause they didn't know who she really was and that seemed to bother Nina. The only 'outsider' that the humans were nice to was Jennie. If people go to know who Nina really was they would be frightened, weirded out, or at least that's what Nina thought. The try outs went smoothly. Everyone was impressed by Nina's speed and kept asking her if she really was a human, making Nina even more uncomfortable. Jennie took notice of that but decided to let it slide. She then went to the cafeteria with Nina and her best friends.
"Lisa's in the dance team, she can put in a good word for you!" Rosie chirped as they were getting to know each other better.
Nina felt at ease with them. She had seen a lot of movies growing up and kind of being self grounded for her entire life. All the popular girls in the movies were always mean and a pain in the ass. But these 4 seemed to be calm, fun and collected. Nina thought she could fit in and be a part of this group without having to worry too much.
Lisa and Nina made their way to the school auditorium where the dance team was conducting the auditions. Lisa informed Nina that there was a new teacher starting from today. Apparently everyone already knew him since he was a part of the Bangtan pack. Nina had goosebumps at this point. Jungkook was already in the dance team so Nina thought she had only one person to worry about. That obviously wasn't the case anymore.
She excused herself and ran to the restroom. She sprayed the disguise potion all over herself. In fact, she sprayed a little too much out of worry. If a wolf knew about this potion they would be able to smell it on her. She obviously didn't know that.
She ended up reaching late for the audition and got a few stares from the people who were sitting in the audience. She saw Lisa waving at her and showing her a thumbs up. This made her smile and she realised that those people in the audience were actually the dance team.To go to the green room, Nina had to pass the teacher who was sitting at a table with a paper and a pen in his hand. She could only see his back at this point. She tried to run past him so he wouldn't notice her. But the closer she got to him, the more anxious it made her. She could smell him. Even his scent demanded respect. Nina tried to calm down and walked past him, thinking he didn't notice her.
However, the moment Nina entered the auditorium, Hoseok could smell something very out of place. A scent that he was all too familiar with, having used the potion multiple times himself. He could feel the person getting closer and the scent getting stronger. The girl walked right past him. He could immediately tell she was the one wearing this scent. She was the one with secrets. He smirked, taking it on himself to reveal all her secrets. He eyed her up and down, assuming she was an omega wolf, and a very hot one at that.
He let out a breathy laugh at how ridiculous he was being. But he couldn't help himself. The moment he saw her he felt attracted to her in all the wrong ways. That, was until Taehyung, who was sitting behind him with Jungkook and Jimin, told him that she was the girl they had to keep an eye on.
"She's probably an omega Tae, I can smell a potion I use, on her. But let's wait and see." Hoseok informed his brother and waited for this girl who seemed to have worried his pack, dance for him.
Four out of the 20 people who auditioned were selected. There was one last spot left and Nina was sure she'll get it. Hoseok figured that she's the only one left to perform. Being the evil man that he is, he tried to fool around and make her nervous.
"Okay we're done. Let's wrap it up." He spoke into the microphone.
"No no! It's my turn now please wait!" Nina ran to the stage from behind the wings out of panic. Hoseok smirked and sat back down, changing his expression from amused to uninterested. Nina was overwhelmed and she realised why. For the first time her senses were filled with the scent of four different werewolves. Taehyung was standing right behind the dance teacher with two other wolves. All of them staring right at her.
"Are you going to start anytime soon?" Hoseok questioned her but it sounded more like a taunt.
From the back of the auditorium she heard Jennie and the girls cheering loudly for her. She immediately felt better and as of on queue, the music started to play.
She was dancing to a song that Hoseok had choreographed for an idol. Hoseok wasn't one to lie when it came to dance. The moment the sound started to play, it was serious business for him. Clearly, Nina had changed the choreography completely and Hoseok was loving it. She was flexible, confident and sexy but subtle at the same time. She had just the perfect amount of confidence and the perfect expressions. Everyone looked back when they heard someone whistling and violently screaming. It was Jisoo, she couldn't stop herself and the other three didn't disappoint her. To compensate for the fact that they couldn't whistle, they stood up on their chairs and started to sway their hips trying to mimic Nina's moves.
(In case you're wondering which song she was dancing to... It's 'Dally' by Hyolyn.)
When the song ended, everyone was quiet. Some didn't want her to stop dancing and the others were simply mesmerised.
"Okay. We're done for the day. Everyone, y'all can go back home now." Hoseok broke the silence as he got out of his seat and started to collect the papers that were scattered all over the place.Nina was very confused at this point. No one said a word so she didn't know what to think of. Was she selected? Was she not? She walked down the stairs and made her way to Hoseok. He sensed her standing behind him, waiting for him to turn around. He took his time on purpose and just as she was about to call him, he turned around and raised an eyebrow once he saw her.
"Yes?"
"Hi... I just wanted to ask if I was selected?" She smiled a little while asking him that, trying to look less nervous.
"Do you think you're talking to a receptionist?" He was having so much fun trying to make her uncomfortable. He could see that she was intimidated by him. He walked closer to her.
"No, I'm sorry sir." She looked down and started to fidget with her fingers.
"You're selected." He informed her and turned around to get back at what he was doing before. Nina sighed in relief and bowed to him, even though he couldn't see it. She thanked him and started to walk towards the door, where the girls waited for her. They saw the smile on her face and they didn't need anything more to comprehend the situation. She was selected and they were really happy for her.
"You're the new girl right?" Nina stopped in her tracks. She turned around to see who it was but crashed into Taehyung's chest and stumbled back, almost falling on her ass. Taehyung didn't let that happen. He caught hold her wrists and pulled her closer so she could regain her balance.
"I'm so sorry!" They said at the same time and giggled together too. He was so handsome, that's all that she could think of. She had never been so close to a guy before and to say that she wasn't having the time of her life, would be a lie. He had a very unique, boxy kind of a smile and a tiny mole on his nose that she kept staring at unknowingly. He cleared his throat and smirked. He was well aware of the effect that he was having on her. It was then that she realised that it wasn't safe for her to be so close to him. She immediately took two steps back, which also didn't surprise Taehyung since he knew she had a secret to hide.
"Yes, yes I am. Why do you ask?" The friendly faces were gone in the flick of an eye. It kind of impressed him how she was able to switch to another side of hers. Girls were usually always blushing and giggling and trying to act cute with him.
"Well my brother's in the dance team. I thought I should introduce him to you in case you need help with something in the future." Taehyung was playing a smart game here but he was playing it with a 'genuine' smile on his face. What he didn't know is that Nina was catching on to it. She was new, yes. But she wasn't an idiot.
"That would be a huge help!" She wore a bright smile as well and waited for him to do what he wanted to.
Taehyung then called for Jungkook, his younger brother. A tall, younger looking lad walked towards them with a jog in his step. Nina thought Jungkook was handsome too. She saw him while performing. She saw all three of them. She would've seen Hoseok too but she couldn't build up the courage to.
Jungkook, on the other hand was feeling a combination of emotions. When he saw her dance, all he could think of was how perfect her body was. She was tiny now that she was in front of him, but she looked so sexy moving like that just a couple of minutes ago. Those running shorts and the cropped sweatshirt weren't helping his distracted state of mind. He knew what mattered most though. They had a plan to follow and the safety of his pack was always first. "This is Jungkook, and this is..." Taehyung started off but stopped when he realised he didn't know her name.
"Nina." Nina helped him out and put her hand forward for Jungkook to take in his own. Another thing she realised she shouldn't have done. She couldn't help but lose focus. Two handsome faces at the same time aren't very easy to handle.
"It'll be fun having you in the team Nina, or if I may, Noona?" Jungkook asked her with his bunny smile that could fool almost anyone.
"How old are you?" Nina questioned him.
"18, you?"
"18 too. So no Noona." Nina answered with a shy smile. The two boys would be liars if they said they weren't fascinated by her.
Before anything could go further in the converation, Hoseok walked up from behind the boys and smirked at Nina when she started looking left and right, not meeting his gaze. "Let's head home." He announced as he put an around each of the boys and stood in between of the two, casually staring holes into Nina's petite frame. The fourth brother walked in their direction from behind Nina and put his arm around her. Nina snapped her head to the side to see who it was. She was met with another handsome boy who was leaning closer to her, looking her straight in the eyes with a life taking smile on his face.
"You make new friends and don't bother to tell me?" He asked his brothers.Nina caught on, she knew this was a game to them. She was playing along but she wasn't sure of what she was supposed to do next.
"Not now Jimin, we need to get back home." Hoseok interrupted the younger's plan of messing around with the girl.
"Hyung we should drop her home. We can't let her walk around alone in a town full of predators now, can we?" Jimin smirked looking at Nina this time, mischief evident in his eyes. He knew wolves don't do well with being called weak, or incapable of protecting themselves. Even though Nina was a half and half, this still hit her right in the spot. Specially cause he wasn't lying, she was actually scared after seeing Hoseok. She knew just by looking at him that he could rip her into pieces if he wanted to. As a matter of fact, she knew she didn't stand a chance against any of them, yet.
"I'll take her home Jimin. Don't worry about it, I'll drop her home everyday. You stay safe too okay?" A voice from behind spoke before anyone else could.
