Percy

I dreamt a super strange dream last night.

"How can we trust him?" A blonde girl with warm brown eyes asked. There was a holographic screen floating in the air. "The humans are claiming he's a terrorist!

A dark-skinned person with chiseled features had a grim expression etched on his face. "We still must keep an eye on him, nonetheless. He is quite powerful." The girl cocked her head. "Powerful as in...?" The man sighed and shook his head.

"That is confidential information, Ms. Foster."

"Call me Sophie, Quinlin." The girl scowled at the use of her last name.

My curiosity blazed. Who? Who's this terrorist guy? I wanted to ask. I couldn't really shift my view, but the man called Quinlin pressed a button and I caught a flicker of the image of a boy. He had windswept raven-colored hair, sea green eyes, and a dark tan. Me. Well, 15-year-old me.

Oh, joy. Another batch of mortals want me hunted down and killed. I wondered what charges were pressed against me. It would've probably been amusing, but I didn't want another run-in like the Avengers.

"Well, Sophie." Quinlin sighed. "We have another job for you. You must find this person and capture him.

What fun. I can't wait to be captured and possibly tortured.

"Why me?" She asked doubtfully.

He fixed brilliant sapphire eyes onto her. "You are extremely skilled, Sophie Foster. I have no doubt that you will succeed." She nodded, a little more confident. He continued. "Choose another person to join you. I suggest an Empath, perhaps Mr. Sencen?"

He pronounced it like SEN-sin. Weird names, to be honest. I wanted to ask who they were, but the dream flickered away, and I found Annabeth poking my cheek.

"Wake up, Seaweed Brain." She said cheerfully. "We have morning border patrol."

I grumbled, still half-asleep. She gave me a little smirk and walked out my cabin, Cabin 3. Poseiden's cabin. I hastily put on a clean orange Camp Half-Blood and shorts. I ran a comb through my hair, and slipped on some running shoes.

Annabeth was perched on top of a rock, sharpening her Celestial bronze blade dagger. She brightened when she saw me.

"Good morning." She pecked me on the cheek. "Ready to skirt the perimeter?"

I groaned. "I hate border patrols." Her eyes twinkled mischievously. "Come on, Seaweed Brain." I trudged after her, heading for the small brook. I dipped my fingers in, and my attentiveness perked. Being the son of Poseidon, water helped me feel better and even healed wounds.

A random question sparked through my mind. "Hey, Wise Girl."

"Yeah?" Her stormy grey eyes glinted blue in the reflection of the stream.

"Since I get healed by touching water, does it do the same thing when you touch a dictionary?" I grinned impishly. She was speechless for once.

"Kelp face. It's not the same, you idiot—" She was cut off by a rustle in the woods. All my instincts were on alert, and I uncapped Riptide. Silence.

"Maybe we imagined it." I suggested. Annabeth shook her head. "That was too loud for it to be a naiad or a woodland creature."

"Maybe a satyr." I whispered. She paused, then straightened. "Maybe." She scanned the forest again. "Just keep your eyes peeled, ok?" We skirted the trees, keen for any signs of footprints. We'd almost finished.

"Let's split up." Annabeth said. "It's almost time for breakfast, and we still have a fair amount of ground to cover. Yell if you need rescuing." We grasped hands for a moment and let go. In the demigod world, you could die any moment, so we made sure to savor every moment, even in Tartarus.

I set towards the sea, just needing to check the beach. The salty air and cool mist made my home turf feel welcoming. I longed to take a dip, but I had to focus. I was walking along the coast when I saw something that nearly scared the wits out of me. A track of footprints.

I wasn't alone.

Hey guys, it's me. Did you like the chapter? I want to know. Can I have at least 20 votes pls and maybe I'll continue it. Thanks :)
