Epilogue

He kisses her on her forehead. She looks up at him with a smile and whispers,

" I love that "

He smiles back and says, " I know ".

They look up at the sky, their fingers entwined, and wish to be together always. Then, they look into each others eyes, with so much love, that they feel it's gonna be forever.

"I love you so much, Blake ", she says, placing her head on his chest. He caresses her head, and feels her in his arms, her soft black hair under his chin.

"I love you too, Lucy. " he whispers. He wishes they stay together, grow old together, be together for the rest of their lives. But just then he hears that loud dreaded sound again, the blast. And in front of his eyes, yet again, he sees Lucy dead, blood all over her face.

Blake gets up, panting. The sunlight peeps into his room through the curtains, marking the beginning of this new bright day. A bright day, only for others. Blake's eyes immediately well up in tears. This dream had always haunted him, making him wake up each morning, crying. He walks towards Lucy 's picture, with tears in his blue eyes and whispers,

" I love you"

Then he goes to freshen up.

Blake comes out of the washroom, wearing a white shirt today, his blonde wet and combed. He wears his watch and picks up a fresh bouquet of flowers from his vanity table. Then, he walks out of the house and sits in his car. He sighs. She's not here to say let's go, Blake. He reminds himself with sorrow burning in his heart and drives his car.

He walks silently into the graveyard, the moist soil beneath him, as he inhales the smell of the fresh soil, due to the rains last night. And wishes Lucy to be here. He walks to her grave.

"Lucy Goodwin "

He smiles at Eros and Kristine, who come here everyday, just like him. And, at Heather, this time. They don't say a word, just silently place their flowers on her grave, whisper something to her. Then they look at Blake, give an understanding nod, and walk away. Eros and Kristine would meet him outside.

Blake walks to her grave and keeps the fresh bouquet of white and red lilies on her grave. He runs his hand through the stone as a drop of his tear falls on it. I miss you so much, Lucy. I wish you were there with me. He then closes his eyes, remembers her beautiful face, and hears her voice :

I love you Blake.

And, a small smile creeps across his face, showing only one thing. Even now, she's the only one who lights up his world.
