Chapter Fifteen
"What?," I asked in bewilderment.
"Yeah," Lucy replied in despondency, sitting down beside me.
"When? how?"
"Well, the boy and his family is coming to see her tomorrow"
"It's arranged?," I winced.
"Bingo"
"What's going on in the house now?"
Lucy got up from the bed.
"Mom: Heather, be calm and sober. Serve them tea in proper trays..
Heather: Yes, mom, I got it
Mom: Don't panic, okay? Take deep breaths. Just dont panic
Heather: Mom , I'm fine, you're the one being hysterical!," Lucy mimicked.
I looked at her in amusement. "Alright, alright," I said, laughing.
Lucy sighed. "She's so boring. No romance, no love marriage, nothing"
I continued to laugh.
"So what do we do now?"
"I was expecting an answer from you," she said.
"I'm bad at this"
"So am I".

I went walked across the street with her, looking at her, for her face was something I couldn't take my eyes off from.
"Hi Blake," Mrs. Goodwin greeted me, smiling.
"Hello, Mrs.Goodwin, how are you doing?"
"Very well, thank you"
We went up to Heather's room. Clothes were arranged on the bed, all Indian, and Heather looked at them with a confused expression on her face. Then, she noticed me and smiled.
"Oh, hello, Blake," she said.
"Hi, Heather".
" I don't exist, I'm wearing Harry Potter's invisible cloak," Lucy taunted, making us laugh.
"Hi sister," Heather smiled.
"What are you doing?," Lucy asked.
"Choosing what to wear tomorrow," she replied.
Lucy scrutinized the clothes on the bed, and then went towards Heather's wardrope. She took out a pair of jeans and a collared shirt and brought it to Heather.
"Here, wear this," she said.
"You expect me to wear jeans when a boy and his family are coming to see me?," Heather said, staring at Lucy in disbelief. I shook my head, trying to control my laughter.
"Ah ha," Lucy said, nodding.
"Look, Lucy, I'm in no mood of insanity now. Choose from the Indian clothes I have here".
I decided to participate. I went forward and suggested the one in blue. She smiled at me and said,
"I was thinking of the same, thanks Blake".
"No problem," I returned.
"Well, atleast my best friend is of some help"
"Alot more than you"
I tried to control my laughter at their constant fight. I had always heard and read that they do, but Heather and Lucy were live examples of all that I had read, that no matter how much siblings fight, their love for each other is boundless like the skies and deeper than the oceans.
Soon we went out, leaving Heather in solitude.
"All we can do is wait for tomorrow," we said in unison and laughed.

Neither of us could concentrate on our lectures, the next day. Our minds were only on Heather.
During lunch, Lucy called Kristine to inform her about Heather.
"OH MY GOD! THIS IS SO AMAZING," Kristine screamed over the phone. Lucy removed the phone from her ear.
"God, stop screaming,"she said, rubbing her ears.
After our lectures, we rushed home. Lucy barged into the house and shouted:
"SO ? WHAT HAPPENED?"
Heather came down the stairs, smiling. She looked at us, blushing. Then she whispered almost imperceptibly, "I'm getting married"

We sat down on the couch together. Heather gave us an introduction of her fiance.
"His name's David Silchester, and he's an officer by profession. Quiet an aristocratic family , I must say. They wanted an Indian style wedding, and we agreed," he said. We nodded, waiting for more.
Heather paused for a while, and then shly continued, "And he looks quiet good".
Lucy smirked. "OOOH"
I laughed.
"Shut up, Lucy," Heather blushed, embarrassed.
After a while, I went home to freshen up. In a few hours time, I received a text on my phone from Lucy:
"Dance practises start tomorrow"
