Chapter Eleven

We  were standing on the bus stop in a line, holding our suitcases, waiting for the bus.

"I'm so excited," Kristine said, jumping up and down. Blake and Eros looked at her and laughed.

"I know, right, " I said.

"Five hour journey, right?,"she asked.

"Yep,"Eros replied.

Blake and I nodded.

Our bus arrived, a bright yellow one, and we got inside it.

Kristine, Eros, Blake and I sat there in a row. Blake had taken over the window seat and I sat beside him, followed by Kristine and Eros.

We watched the others settle down , in silence.

Then, the bus starting moving.

"Yay!," we screamed, Mrs.Rowley trying to control our excitement.

"We're staying in tents, there,"Eros informed.

"Yep,"Kristine said.

"And we're setting them up ourselves," he continued.

"Yeah ," Kristine replied. " Wait.. WHAT?!"

"Don't tell me you didn't know?,"I asked. Blake laughed.

"Yeah, I didn't"

"Were you expecting we'd stay in ready-made tents?"

"That's exactly what I expected".

"Great,"I said, sarcastically.

Suddenly, Kristine held her hand on my mouth.

"What's wrong?,"I asked, worried.

Eros and Blake looked at her in surprise.

"I totally forgot I had motion sickness,"she said.

oh no.

Eros handed her a bottle of water, after she'd finish messing up.

"Are you okay?,"Blake asked, concerned.

She nodded. I patted her back.

"You'd better sit on the window seat," I suggested.

"I'd better"

She moved to Blake's place and he on hers. After a while, she did it again.

The bus journey was fun, excepting Kristine's bad condition. When we finally gout out of the bus, Kristine got down, much to her relief and said, "FINALLY!"

I laughed.

"Okay, now we'll carry our luggage and walk down to our venue,"Mrs. Rowley announced.

"Let's go, get the luggage," Blake said to me, holding my hand. I clasped it  and said, "Yep".

___*____

We walked for fifteen minutes and reached the place. It was a small area surrounded by  trees.

"I'm tired,"Kristine said, sitting on a rock.

"We need to set up our tents now," Eros said.

"NO!," she said, pouting.

Mrs.Rowley gave us a few instructions and then we starting setting up our tents.

Eros and Kristine set up one, while Blake and me set up the other.

We held the two ends of the cloth . We laid it down, and I held one end of it , as Blake hammered the cloth into the ground. I lost my grip and the tent came falling, above our heads, trapping Blake and me inside.

"Oh no, I'm so sorry,"I said, struggling out get out, panicking.

"It's alright,"he said, finding a way out.

I heard Kristine laughing outside. That girl.

I moved forward, looking around, and bumped  into Blake.

"Oops, sorry,"I said, looking at him.

He laughed. "It's okay".

Mrs.Rowley helped us to get out of it.

"Thank you, miss,"Blake and I said in unison.

We finally succeeded in setting up our tents. I sat down on the bench and Blake sat beside me.

"I'm tired," I said.

"So am I,"

"Let's go , EAT!,"Kristine said, moving forward. Everyone was forming a queue.

Blake and I trudged behind them.

"How was it inside the tent?," she asked, smirking.

"Shut up, will you?,"I said, embarrassed.

Blake and Eros gwaffed in laughter.

After eating, we roamed around for a while and returned to our camp.

Everyone went into their tents . The four of us  stared at the beautiful night sky.

"Go and sleep, children. We need to go to the beach tomorrow,"Mrs. Rowley said to us.

"Good night, Lucy ,"Blake said, softly.

"Good night , Blake," I replied.

I laid down beside Kristine and she looked at me.

"Tomorrow's gonna be fun," she said.

"Yep," I whispered.
