Chapter 3: Don't Mind Me, I'm Just Standing on Dumbledore's Shelf
>>Latfollah POV<<<
I looked between the white stallion centaur and who I thought to be a Dumbledore look alike. Chiron?
"You mean like the one that trained like Heracles and Achilles and Perseus and Perseus Jackson?"
"..."
"..."
The two adults stared at me. I tilted my head in confusion until I realized I had spoken aloud.
"Ah, look at the time. Chiron, I believe you have a class to teach, do you not?" Dumbledore asked, well, more like stated to the Trainer of Heroes. Chiron looked in his eyes, before nodding.
"Good. Now, miss-?" Dumbledore looked at me in question.
"Latfollah, sir, um Latfollah Geist." I filled in, glancing at Chiron gathering his things.
"Miss Geist, you will come with me. Please hold onto my arm tightly," he said holding out his arm to me.
"Sure!" I said enthusiastically, grabbing onto his arm. Then, the world faded away, and I had that blender machine feeling again, before literally popping into... Dumbledore's office?
"Sugoina!" I instinctively exclaimed at the sight, letting go of Dumbledore's arm.
"Japanese," I looked back to see Dumbledore with an eyebrow raised and a twinkle in his eye.
"Hmm? I guess," I shrugged, not noticing the language change.
Dumbledore walked over to behind the desk and gestured for me to take a seat across from his own seat. I sat down.
"Miss Geist, I would ask how you got here," He begun as he poured himself a cup of tea. "But I have my own theory." I stopped my close examination of the Phoenix's cage and looked back at the Headmaster.
"You do?"
He smiled, and nodded.
"How much knowledge do you have of the Greek gods?"
I smiled widely.
After my talk with Dumbledore, I got a (100% free, by the way) tour of his office. Dumbledore placed a lot of faith in me by leaving halfway through, though I had to promise that I would keep my touching 'to a minimum'. How he could put his trust to a ADHD child that was acting like a kid-in-a-candy-shop, I didn't know.
After awhile, Chiron came into the office with Professor Mcgonagall.
"Latfollah Geist, we were sent by Professor Dumbledore to get you," the Professor said to me in that annoying British accent that I had started to pick up from Dumbledore.
"Okay," I said, jumping down from my perch on the far shelf. What? I wanted to see if I could touch the ceiling!
McGonagall cleared her throat, and I looked up to see Chiron shaking his head knowingly, like he had dealt with things like this before. I wonder why?
Professor Mcgonagall held out a plain set of robes, similar to the ones I saw on the students earlier.
"Put these on over your clothes," She said, and I quickly obeyed her instructions.
A few moments later, we were walking through the winding halls of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Professor Mcgonagall walked in front of me, and Chiron stayed behind me, almost like bodyguards.
"Professor," I said after walking for a little bit, "um, can you tell me where we are going?"
"The Great Hall, where you shall be sorted into your house,"
"My... house?" I repeated as we came upon two large doors. Professor Mcgonagall nodded before opening the doors before me.
