Extra || Thanksgiving
It started off as just a regular day.
Percy woke up late.
He grabbed his wand and sprinted down to the Great Hall, transfiguring his pajamas into his robes as he went. A suit of armor jumped noisily out of the way.
He dumped a pancake on his plate, piled it with potatoes, bacon, peppermint humbugs, fried tomatoes, sausages, kippers, and eggs, added ketchup, marmalade, syrup and a drizzle of pumpkin juice to the mix, and added another pancake to make a breakfast sandwich.
He ran to class, devouring the mess he made on the way.
He burst into Potions late and complained about no one waking him up.
Nico overheard and turned around and sternly pointed to a fresh bruise on his forehead.
Percy's stomach churned and realized his breakfast was not good for him. He let rip a silent ball of methane that blended in perfectly with the sulfurous fumes from various cauldrons around the room.
He was more careful at lunch.
After classes, he went into the lake to attend Marvin the Giant Squid's tai-chi class.
On the way he killed a group of dracaena in what looked to be discarded first-year Slytherin robes.
He attended Marvin the Giant Squid's tai-chi class.
He was attacked by grindylows.
He attacked the grindylows.
As emerged from the surface of the lake, he spotted two fourth-year Hufflepuffs kissing violently.
He went back under the water.
Suddenly Annabeth appeared behind him, her head in a giant bubble-helmet. They resurfaced and went to go to dinner.
The Hufflepuffs were gone. Annabeth laughed when Percy told her.
Percy had roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, lamb chops, steak-and-kidney pie, shepherd's pie, Cornish pasties, treacle tart, and trifle for dinner.
In the Common Room later that night, he rapidly did all the homework he'd pushed off.
Then they spectated a Wizards chess game between Jason and Nico.
Jason won.
They went to sleep.
It ended as just a regular day too.
Because Hogwarts is in Britain. And they don't celebrate Thanksgiving. And no one bothered to remind them.
