"Taeyong-ah! Let's go and we'll be late!"

The said male immediately went down the stairs after he fixed himself infront of mirror. His mother was already in her dress, ready for work. Taeyong presented himself to his own mother and smiled sweetly at her, trying to make it up to her by smiling. She just frowned and grabbed her bag.

"Go to the car. I'll leave you next time if you keep waking up late, Yong-ah," she uttered as she started walking towards their garage, her heels clacking against their floor.

Taeyong pouted and followed behind, "I promise to wake up early next time, mom!"

"You already said that."

"But I promised this time."

His mother works as a psychologist. Ever since Taeyong was a kid, his mother has been bringing him to work. She had to ask her boss if she could. Taeyong's older sister and her husband are out and, they never hired a nanny so she didn't have any choice but to bring him. Taeyong was a good boy, seated on the chair at the far corner while he's busy doing his writing and coloring booklets.

Although Taeyong doesn't know what his mother's work is at a young age, he thought that she might be someone who takes care of everyone. He hears his mother asking and comforting people. His mother had a very comforting aura so Taeyong understood how why she picked a work like that.

From there, Taeyong started portraying his mother. His young self-thought that he, too, wants to comfort people. Taeyong took interest in taking psychology as well, but veterinary took most of his attention ever since his puppy 'went missing'.

But even though he, soon, will be a licensed veterinarian, he still goes to his mother's clinic every time he has some free time.

Taeyong somehow became a worrisome person towards the people around him. He takes care and love the people he cherishes, but even though most people think he's a shy type, Taeyong's actually the most energetic person they could meet. But he was best known with his smile.

Taeyong's smile was something else.

"You don't have part-time today? It's a Thursday," she asked while she drives to her office.

Taeyong shook his head, "Taeil hyung gave me a day-off. I'll just attend Sunday."

"But Sunday is family day, Yong," she uttered.

"I'll come back by lunch, of course, mom," he answered.

She nodded and chuckled, "Okay, come back with food then, Yongie."

"As always, mom."

They arrived at the clinic and Taeyong was greeted by his mother's co-workers. The boy gave them a warm smile, filling the building a nice atmosphere. Someone already told his mother that her patient already arrived so both of them immediately went into the office.

His mother finished fixing herself before she asked to let the patient in. Taeyong was seated on the chair by his mother's desk. He already has his phone on hand, but has his eyes by the door, looking who the patient will be.

And it was a handsome guy.

"Please, sit down," his mother said softly and led the guy to take a sit.

Taeyong stared at him, while the guy makes its way to sit on the sofa. He looked at his phone and thought of sneakily take a photo of the guy. Is he the only one who does this? It's for remembrance. He tried not to get caught and somehow took a few decent photos to keep but he was too mesmerized with the guy that he didn't notice his mother calling him.

"Taeyong!"

The boy jolted and quickly turned his phone off before he looked back at his mother with a smile.

"Hm?" the boy responded.

His mother glared at him, "Could you please hand over my clipboard? It's by the drawers."

Taeyong looked for it and stood to give it to his mother. He didn't even give the guy a glance, even though the attractive guy did. He just returned to his seat and looked at him from afar. He sank on his chair with a pout on his face while he has his phone up on his face.

His feeling right now is like any other girl's reaction when they see someone really handsome. He acted really weirdly. The boy was obviously having a crush on his mother's patient. He got curious when will he ever meet him again.

It took some minutes before the session was over. While his mother was saying some final words, Taeyong sneakily looked at the patient's profile to see his name.

Jaehyun...

"Taeyong, that's unethical."

The boy looked at his mother and shook his head, "I'm doing nothing, mom..."

She crossed her arms at him, "Really?"

Taeyong then pouted, "I was just looking at his name...that's all."

"He's been my patient since last week. He's also almost the same age as you," she uttered and walked towards her son.

"At his age, he's already suffering?" Taeyong asked.

His mother smiled, "Not all people live like you, Yong-ah...That's why I want you to be kind because you don't know what they've been through."

The boy slowly nodded then the guy's face returned to his mind. Though he looks very attractive, his eyes were empty and his lips seemed to never smile. Taeyong has been very selfless all his life. Over the years, he's been observing the patients his mother talks to, he knew that his mother wanted to show him the reality.

"Do you want coffee, mom?" Taeyong asked.

His mother nodded, "Could you, please? Another patient is about to come in as well."

The boy nodded and exited the office immediately. He made his way to the pantry, and at the same time, looking if the guy was around, but seemed like he already left. Taeyong put that aside and looked over if he can grab some coffee, then he met his mother's co-worker who came to say something to him.

"The coffee machine's broken, Yong-ah," he said.

"That's a very bad news, Mr. Kang."

Then the older chuckled, "I agree, but there's a cafe nearby. That's a lifesaver."

Taeyong nodded, "Okay, thank you."

He groaned and had to go out of the building. He even taught twice before he decided to go out and just buy coffee. Though all he need is to cross the road for the cafe. He then walked out and stood by the edge of the pavement, waiting for the stoplight to let them cross. His eyes roamed, looking left and right, until they passed by the parking lot.

There was the guy.

But he was with an older lady, seemed to be his mother and both of them are inside the car. What made him feel weak was when he saw the guy crying, somewhat trying to tell something to the lady. Taeyong badly wanted to go and comfort him.

It felt like Taeyong met Jaehyun came for a reason.

The boy then crossed the road and goes into the cafe. Taeyong ordered and kept glancing at the windows of the cafe, seeing that the car was still there. He impatiently tapped his finger against the table until he was called the grab his order after a few minutes. But before he goes out of the cafe, he asked for a pen.

Taeyong immediately went back and timidly walked closer to the car. Instead of knocking on the window of the guy's, he went for the lady's.

The lady jolted but she rolled the window down and softly smiled at Taeyong. She looked tired.

"Hello, I'm Taeyong. I'm the son of his doctor...I just thought of giving this to him."

She looked over the bag of sweets Taeyong bought. She gratefully accepted it and nodded at the boy.

"Thank you. I'll give it to him later. He's just...not in the mood right now for a talk," she uttered.

Taeyong smiled warmly at her, "I hope everything is alright. Have a nice day."

The boy went back into the building. The lady rolled the windows up and was about to place the bag on Jaehyun's lap, she saw the short letter written on the paper bag.

'A bag of happiness for you :D'

The lady could only smile at the small caring gesture.
