Life for Naruto Uzumaki as King of the Underworld quickly becomes mundane.
The blonde deity spends his days surrounded by pits of anguish and agony of damned spirits, alone except to watch the human inhabitants of the world above.
It wasn't long before Naruto began to yearn for a wife. He began to yearn for someone to love, to hold, to convert his dark days into ones of light.
Fortunately for him, everything changed when a stunning creature with gorgeous midnight blue hair, lavender eyes, and an odd obsession with flowers captured his attention. The god of death knew the woman was the perfect choice to become his wife, and his wife was exactly what she'd be...
Naruto was going to make sure of it.

His Beautiful Flower
"Shikamaru-san, sing me an ode, would ya?"
The Styx river within the underworld was being navigated by a shrill boat of significant benefit, swaying back and forth over a vast pit of filth, rot, and multitudes of spirits-damned spirits.
Grunts and groans escaped the ferryman of the ferry boat as he used an oar (made out of carbon fiber) to vigorously row the boat forward. Sweat dripped from the brow of the black-haired deity's forehead as he stuck the long oar he held into the river and pushed forward, in order to continue onward through the murky river and provide his master a safe trip to his home, or rather, his fortress.
Low splashes of liquid were heard as the ferryman pushed away the water that resided in the river below them, pushing the water in a backward motion in order to travel onward.
Shikamaru, the ferryman's name, was called by his master, who was seated on one of the seats the mythical boat provided. The blonde deity was currently drinking from a glass of liquid, murky in tint and dark crimson in color, somewhat similar to blood but with a smoother consistency. Pomegranate juice was Naruto's choice to quench his thirst.
The wicked king of the underworld peered at his servant with a gleam in his blue eyes. He gripped the base of his glass cup with his right hand, showing off the enormous silver ring he wore on his ring finger, a ring emblazoned with the kanji symbol (死).
A Japanese kanji symbol that means death.
Naruto's blue eyes were a shade of cerulean, but they portrayed a depth of emotion that could be described as mischief, a touch of sadism, and melancholy. When the blonde deity became enraged, his once majestic eyes turned crimson-a horrifying color that only promised pain and misery.
It's definitely not a good idea to enrage the god of death. Such an unfortunate soul will experience the merciless wrath of eternal damnation as the punishment for their misfortune.
Naruto was a simple man who simply wanted things his way. If not, well...
The blonde smirked because he knew, he knew what he was capable of and had done for millennia to those who crossed him, who lied to him, who scorned him and broke deals with him.
All were sent straight into the river of Styx and soon straight into hell.
Humans who lied, cheated, stole, and killed while alive were also banished to roam the rivers of Styx when they died. That is where Naruto would look after them-or rather, torture them for fun.
The white, ghastly souls of the damned roamed the rivers, depicted as the ghosts of their former selves wearing a face of perpetual agony. Their eyes, which had formerly been filled with light and vitality, were now merely soulless and had lost all traces of life. As the doomed spirits traveled down the river, banging against one another, their mouths hung low at the jaw.
Such faces made Naruto shudder. Giving such souls a kick as he journeyed through their place of rest gave Naruto the amusement he needed.
He must always find methods to pass the time while residing in the dark underworld; otherwise, he will feel the desire to plunge headfirst into the rivers of the underworld in order to let the souls of the damned consume him and spare him from endless boredom.
But the blonde voted against that. His pride was too high to suffer death at the hands of mere demented souls, ones that stupidly gave into sin and therefore damned their lives for eternity. No, his death has to be spectacular.
However, a spectacular end has not yet arrived to save him, so here he is, alive.
Naruto has ruled the underworld since the dawn of humanity, since the earth's first batch of humans breathed.
He knows nothing else.
It was all pure and utter agony for the blonde god, but there was no use in whining about it. He had a job to do, and he was going to do it. He just has to be more creative in finding ways to entertain himself as he rules the underworld.
'That's easier said than done.' Naruto quipped to himself in irritation.
As he sat in Shikamaru's ferry boat, drinking and sipping his beverage to moisten his palate and quench his thirst, the blonde was actually thinking hard in order to come up with creative ideas for entertainment.
Her body swayed slightly in his seat, mimicking the boat's steady, wavy motions. His eyes closed in a moment of serenity as he reveled in his thoughts and simply enjoyed the voyage toward his fortress. Of course, he had to block out the shrill screams of the dead all around him, but for Naruto, completing such a task was a cinch.
Remaining in the underworld for several millennia makes one grow used to every aspect that comes along with the gloomy place. So blocking out the dark, murky sky and shrieks of agony came easy to Naruto.
His blonde, spiky hair swayed from side to side as he kept up his movements, bringing his body left and right in a gentle manner upon his seat. His blonde hair was quite unruly as it slipped down the god's forehead and over his currently closed eyelids.
Despite being in a dark, gloomy arena without sunlight, Naruto sported a bright tan skin complexion, a skin color that he maintains quite nicely by allowing himself to tan before grand fires of his making every night. Naruto most certainly did not want to appear sickly and pale like the wretched spirits he was charged with watching over.
He wanted to maintain his stunning good looks.
Continuously swaying back and forth, only caused the long black robe he wore to sway as well. Such a robe was made entirely of satin, covering his muscular body from the world. He donned a black shoulder sash, matching with a black brocade waist sash, a black braided rope belt, and a long-sleeved full-length V-neck robe-or, more accurately, a toga-with metallic accents.
The black shoulder sash that was added to his attire swooped down his chest from his left shoulder just to slip around his back.
For his feet, he simply wore black sandals, which were covered by his long toga, which draped down his broad frame.
Because Naruto was dressed entirely in black, he exuded a more sinister and menacing aura, an aura he was quite satisfied with.
A crown made entirely of tree branches was placed on his head and wound around his blonde hair, covering the top of it. The ebony branches sprung in all directions, giving it a straggly appearance, one that the blonde god has taken a liking to.
In silence, the blonde god simply waited in his spot as he constantly swayed back and forth. Why was he waiting, you might ask?
Simply put, Naruto was waiting for his fellow servant to obey him and carry out his previous order.
That is, sing for him.
Shikamaru let out several more grunts as he continued to pull the oar in his hand along the river, grimacing upon catching sight of the contorted spirits below. He also wore a gray toga that fell down his physique and covered every inch of him, as well as gray sandals.
Shikamaru sent a pleading look over at his master, his brown eyes taking in the blonde's closed eyes and ominous demeanor.
Shikamaru huffed in exhaustion, "Master, I do not wish to disappoint you, but my duty is not to indulge in matters such as singing. My duty is to instead carry over the souls of the deceased-"
A loud growl cut the black-haired male's words off, blue eyes snapping open to reveal irritation.
Naruto raised an eyebrow at Shikamaru, watching with calm anger as the ponytail deity continued to row the boat forward. His form stood tall upon the front of the boat, his body hunched over a bit so he could stick the oar he held deep into the murky waters of Styx and push the boat forward.
Shikamaru was doing a great job in Naruto's eyes, but he lost points for denying his orders. The blonde was beginning to grow a bit angry.
Does Shikamaru believe Naruto to be slow-witted? That he is somehow unaware of Shikamaru's primary purpose?
Naruto could literally feel his blood pressure rise within his very body as more and more questions rose in his head due to Shikamaru's inept behavior.
Why the hell was Shikamaru explaining the job he's done for millennia to the blonde as if he didn't know?
Naruto sighed and drew his glass cup downward, away from his lips, "I'm just going to pretend you didn't say that." Naruto dismissed Shikamaru's earlier idiotic statement before waving his free hand at him, giving the ponytail man a glare with his eyes, which briefly flashed red, "Sing servant, and make it snappy." Naruto scoffed, his voice deepening in volume, "Trust me, you don't want to disappoint me again."
Naruto was now warning Shikamaru, warning him to make the right choice and not make the foolish decision to further test the blonde's patience.
Naruto has to admit that he has quite a temper, but how can he not when he deals with incompetent idiots every single day? How can he not be angry when he goes each day hearing the same tune-shrieks and screams of agony and pain? How can he not be angry when he's surrounded by the same exact scenery every single damn day of his life?
Naruto never asks for much; all he wants is some company and fun. Is that too much to ask?
Shikamaru sighed deeply as Naruto observed him with a blank expression.
Shikamaru was aware that his master wasn't going to give up and let him avoid engaging in a pastime that he was positively terrible at.
Singing was not Shikamaru's forte. Singing was not what the ferryman did.
What is there to sing and rejoice about in a place of sorrow and torment?
The black-haired male rarely sang, but his master had just ordered him to do so, putting Shikamaru in a very odd position.
But he had to do it. He had to sing.
Resistance was not an option here.
The ponytail-haired man groaned at that, putting up a pout, "Fine, fine. Tsk, what a drag..."
Naruto hummed in delight due to Shikamaru's compliance before sitting back in his seat to set himself in a comfortable place where he was ready to be entertained-that is, by Shikamaru's singing.
"Now that's music to my ears, servant."
******
The voyage over the Styx River to Naruto's citadel was long and tedious, but thankfully, the god of death's daily patrol of the doomed souls in the underworld has finally come to an end for the day.
With a thud, Shikamaru's wooden boat came to a stop by a dock made entirely of brimstone or rather sulfur. The rush of the water slipped up the sides of the boat to cover the dock entirely, just as Shikamaru pulled his oar on the surface of it, to slow the boat down considerably.
Shikamaru's continual hums and chants have stopped as a result of their successful arrival at their desired destination, sparing him the agony of singing any longer. The evidence of his happiness was shown clearly in his brown eyes.
The ponytailed male let out a huff of relief before turning his head, to peer at his master, who now appeared to be somewhat satisfied.
The blonde deity held a pleasant smirk on his tan face as he sat upright within the now stationary boat. In his hand, he still held his glass cup, which was now void of liquid, completely empty.
Seeing his master's expression of satisfaction made him feel accomplished. Even though Shikamaru felt absolutely humiliated by singing, he was happy that he was able to at least satisfy his master.
After clearing his throat, Shikamaru set his wet oar into the boat and put both of his hands on top of the wooden pole, to lean on it. He then sent a nod toward his master, "We have arrived, master. Your castle awaits." He announced with a smile of glee, which caused the blonde to chuckle.
"Heh, about damn time." Naruto groaned out before slowly pulling himself up to a stand. Only then, he gave his fingers a snap, utilizing the magic he possessed to make his wine glass vanish and leave his palms empty in its place.
Naruto has now quenched his thirst, so such a glass cup is no longer of any use to him.
Once his hands were free, the blonde let out a long, drawn-out groan. As he stood perfectly tall, his bones popped and cracked due to finally moving his body parts.
After all, Naruto has been keeping a seated position for a very long time. The trip down the Styx river took hours and hours, and during that entire time, nothing but shrieking ghosts were visible in the deep waters, with darkness lying overhead.
The main emotion Naruto was experiencing at the moment was undoubtedly relief. He was so happy he was before his fortress again. A change of scenery was exactly what he needed.
The blonde deity gave his body a stretch as he stood tall within the now immobile boat. He threw his arms overhead and reached to the darkened clouds above, just until he heard a...
Pop!
"Ooh, now that's more like it." Naruto commented amusingly before pulling his arms down, giving his body a few shakes to relax further. Due to his rather vigorous movement, his dark toga swayed and shifted.
Shikamaru simply stood and watched his master stretch the entire time before pulling one hand forward in order to guide his master up on the dock and up the rocky pathway that was connected.
Naruto's blue eyes landed on Shikamaru's extended hand and then his face. He gave the black-haired male a nod, "Thanks for the journey, Shikamaru-san, and the entertainment, heh." Naruto slipped in his last statement for amusement, to tease Shikamaru once more about his singing before grasping the male's extended hand to exit the boat.
After being mocked by his master, Shikamaru couldn't resist the frown that covered his features, but he helped the blonde step onto the pier of his magnificent castle without hesitation.
As soon as Shikamaru helped his master, he seized his oar once more, this time tightly gripping it to his body with both hands wrapped around the wooden pole.
"You are welcome, master." Shikamaru returned the nod to his lord, who was now standing to marvel at his castle at a distance. Naruto's castle rose high into the sky and kissed the dreary clouds above. Such clouds snaked across the pitch-black sky like serpents, stretching out into the horizon.
The darkness of the sky as it lorded over the entire dimension caused a wave of grief, despair, and devastation to consume the underworld's aura and therefore leave a terrible message, a message that those who have found themselves here are doomed forever.
There was no way out.
But high above, flying through the fluffy, cotton clouds, were demons who safeguarded Naruto's kingdom, demons who relished the dark realm and the aroma of blood, death, and suffering that blanketed every inch of his castle.
The demons had long, slithery tails, sharp horns, distorted faces, and tattered wings that protruded from their gaunt bodies. Their ugly bodies appeared to be human, but their faces had goat-like angles. Similar to humans, their hands possessed five fingers, but each was covered in sharp claws.
Their skin was dark crimson, covered in scales.
All around Naruto's domain, their shrieks, and wails of exuberance roared across the sky, accompanied by the constant whooshing of their wings.
Naruto rolled his cerulean eyes at the idiots above who wailed their heads off, clearly relishing in his domain of death, a domain the blonde god was quite exhausted of. But nevertheless, he could never get used to the sight of his castle.
Oh, his citadel was certainly a sight for sore eyes.
His castle, which was connected to a bridge and stairs, towered over the entire realm, dwarfing both Shikamaru and Naruto and making them appear as insignificant as ants. Tall pillars constructed of glistening obsidian and black marble supported the castle, which was perched atop a precipice of jagged rocks.
There was a rocky walkway intended for walking that wrapped around the entire enormous citadel. But Naruto warned those who followed the trail to proceed with caution since there was a horrific sight at the very end of the journey, just before the gates of his castle.
There stands Naruto's pet kaiju, Kurama.
Kurama, an enormous statue-like kitsune with bright orange fur and nine bushy tails, was chained up in front of Naruto's castle, directly before the gates.
Possessing razor-sharp teeth, long, sharp claws, pointy ears, and blood red eyes, Naruto's savage kitsune was ready to rip anyone to pieces who dared approach the castle without the blonde deity's consent. His huge frame reached the very tips of the entrance's doors, and the very rocks that supported Naruto's castle trembled due to the might of his roar.
He was a powerful creature, that Kurama, but he was such a pain in Naruto's ass.
Yes, Kurama was supposed to protect Naruto from those who wished to harm him, but that didn't imply their relationship was perfect.
'The mention of the chains should've hit home.' Naruto snorted at his thoughts, a wave of dread rushing over him.
If it weren't for the chains that restricted Kurama, Naruto feared that he too would suffer from the deadly kitsune's might.
That's just how great their relationship is.
Naruto groaned to himself as his mind continued to stray. He was starting to slowly dread having to trek up the steep path to his castle to meet his bully of a pet.
All the blonde wanted to do was sneak through the walls of his fortress, rid himself of his clothes, take a relaxing bath, and then spend the rest of the day observing the humans above. He was in the mood for entertainment once more, but he detested having to put in so much effort to achieve it.
Naruto groaned before pulling his head away from the direction of his eerie castle to spare the ground below him a look. The blonde let out a heavy sigh, his chest rising and then dropping considerably.
'Well, here goes...'
But Naruto suddenly developed an evil grin as, right then and there, he recalled a previous memory that had piqued his innate desire. Such a recollection was one that could give him just a little rush of fulfillment, and it was unquestionably something he couldn't just ignore.
'Ahh, yes. How could I forget?' Naruto questioned himself in amusement.
The whiskered blonde pulled his head up to spare Shikamaru a glance, who was patiently waiting for him to start his journey up to his personal castle and then enter its warm confines.
Shikamaru raised an eyebrow at the sight of his master's odd stare, his body still leaning upon his oar within his boat, "Master, is everything alright?" Shikamaru tilted his head, causing his black hair to sway along his back, "Is there something that's aching you?"
Naruto squinted his eyes playfully before giving his tongue a click. He stepped a little closer to the ferryman with a devious glint in his eye, "You can say, I have just one problem."
"And what would-oof!"
Before the black-haired male could figure out what in fact bothered his master, he found himself flying entirely off of his boat by a powerful kick from the blonde deity.
Instantly, fear was expressed from the ferryman as he made a devastating splat into the Lake of Styx, instantly disrupting the spirits that lay slumbering there.
Shikamaru let out choked groans as he flapped his hands crazily within the murky water, all the while battling with the rising spirits, who let out moans and groans, raising their bony hands in an effort to grab the writhing male.
"M-Master! Master, help!"
Naruto threw his head back in laughter as he watched his servant battle against the spirits that wished to take his soul. The blonde deity's laughter rang out loud and proud, which in turn caused the demons in the sky to respond with more hoops and hollers. The rocks that held up Naruto's castle also began to rumble.
Naruto's eyes were entirely closed as he relished Shikamaru's screams and begged for help.
Why the hell he was asking for Naruto's help was beyond the blonde male's comprehension. Naruto was the one that put him in the predicament he's in after all.
Naruto shook his head before whipping it over to face Shikamaru, who managed to grab a hold of the side of his boat with both hands, but such hands were battling to hold themselves up against the many hands of the dead that had a hold of him.
Damned spirits had a hold of his head, shoulders, and back; their bony hands wrapped around his entire being, which caused Shikamaru to panic more and more.
The black haired male cried out, staring pleadingly back at his lord, "Master, master, help! What did I do t-to in-infuriate you?"
Naruto's blue eyes darkened on the ponytail guy as he stood safely on his castle's dock, merely watching Shikamaru struggle.
The blonde tilted his head, causing his spiky hair to slip over, "Oh well, I couldn't help but notice how terrible your singing was, servant. Holy hell, you need lessons. You were awful." Naruto commented distastefully as he looked back at Shikamaru, who had raised himself up on his boat, all the while fighting against moaning spirits. Shikamaru was certainly in distress, not only because of the spirits that were currently clawing and grabbing at his flesh in hopes of taking him under but also because he knew that he had failed at pleasing his master when he thought he had succeeded previously.
Shikamaru felt like a failure.
The sound of water splashing filled up the entire area, with bits of the liquid rising forth to land before Naruto's feet on the dock.
Naruto rolled his eyes, folding his arms over his chest, "You are aware of how I react to disappointment, yes?" Naruto let out a scoff, "Call yourself unlucky because you have indeed disappointed me. Therefore, punishment is in order."
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry, I'll s-sing better! I-I didn't mean to disappoint you!"
Naruto raised his head from where Shikamaru resided among the splashing water. The blonde gave the distressed diety a stern look, "Ahh, is that a promise, servant?"
"Yes, yes! I promise! Please, help me! They'll devour me!"
Naruto found himself rolling his blue eyes once again before simply pulling one finger up, to point directly at Shikamaru. The blonde deity has now decided that Shikamaru has been punished enough and will now do the honors and help his dear servant. He was also removing Shikamaru from the water of the underworld because if he would've remained just a second longer, his body would fall incredibly ill.
A fate worse than death.
The waters of the underworld were poisonous to the living and could only cause death or malady if touched or consumed.
So with his finger extended, only then did Naruto summon his magic to take a hold of Shikamaru's body, engulfing the black-haired man in black energy, and taking Shikamaru within his grasp with the power of telekinesis.
Once Naruto was sure Shikamaru was covered completely with his magic, the blonde deity effortlessly wrenched his very being out of the hands of the spirits to pull him out of the water with just the nudge of his finger.
Naruto was capable of welding anything because of his unfathomable might. He could do so simply with his magic.
Therefore, it took no strength at all to haul Shikamaru's body into the air, who let out cheers of relief. But the black-haired male's face expressed shock when Naruto proceeded to throw the male carelessly back into his boat, doing so at high speeds.
The impact of his body striking the boat caused it to wobble back and forth pretty erratically, and the thump his body created against the boat's wooden material reverberated far and wide.
Shikamaru cried and moaned in pain as he lay on his back inside his boat, now safe but completely submerged in water that smelled of rotten flesh.
But the culprits who sought to harm Shikamaru were now hungry for destruction. The spirits of the damned were not pleased to be disturbed as they were, and so they began to plaster their hands on Shikamaru's boat with the intention of rocking it to get their hands on the black-haired male once more.
But Naruto was one step ahead.
This time, he pulled both hands forward to give light to an entire surge of his black energy, which worked like a sonic wave as it rushed from the palms of his hands to make a devastating impact on the sprouted spirit's ears. The spirits instantly reacted in pain, pulling their hands away from the boat to cover their eyes, all the while letting forth piercing shrieks.
Naruto's eyes turned crimson, his pupils slit, and his whiskers became more prominent as he made it his duty to calm down the damned spirits. He gritted his teeth in irritation, "Begone, cretins!" Naruto screamed angrily, his voice resounding throughout the entire domain, compelling all who heard it to take heed of his name, including the souls of the condemned before him.
As soon as Naruto gave light to his voice and his power, the spirits fearfully fled back into the murky waters to avoid the god of death, taking the action of obediently leaving Shikamaru alone to instead slumber deep within the waters of Styx.
After the spirits left, Naruto heaved a heavy sigh and withdrew his hands, shutting them to conceal the magic he possessed. Since his facial features reflected his emotions and he was now calm, they too became calmer. His untamed whiskers became more subdued, and his fiery, split eyes reverted back to their normal ocean-blue hue.
Naruto let out many more breaths to tame his rage. He allowed the air of the world around him to enter within his flared nostrils and later exit out of the gaps of his lips. He did just that, a couple of times before plastering his eyes back on Shikamaru, who was slowly pulling himself up to a stand within his rocky boat.
He grabbed his oar again, which was lying on the floor of the boat, to shakily work his body to a stand.
There, he gave his master a hesitant glance, not before gulping. The black haired male looked at Naruto while water dripped from his very being, making thuds on the floor of his boat. He nodded, "Th-Thank you, master."
Naruto only spared the black-haired male a blank stare before turning on his heels to finally make his way up the curvy path to enter the gates of his castle, "Learn from this moment, Shikamaru-san. Don't be a fool and disappoint me again." Those words were the only words that Naruto said before he fled the scene, leaving a wet Shikamaru in his boat.
The black-haired male nodded before sticking his oar back into the water to push his boat forward and navigate his vehicle through the river of Styx once more.
***
Naruto's sandals smacked the rocky ground he walked on as he finally made it up to the entrance of his citadel.
After walking the long pathway up to the gates of his castle, the blonde deity was now more than ready for relaxation, entertainment, and a bath. He was so eager to slumber within the confines of his castle, a castle filled with gold and silver and, of course, everything that could satisfy his every need.
Naruto put up a smirk as he continued to pave his way forward, getting closer and closer to the entrance of his home.
But his smirk was wiped clean off his face when his keen ears picked up the rattle of chains, the intense rush of movement, and a guttural growl from a beast.
His blue eyes shifted to the left, only to groan as he discovered his giant pet was currently planted just alongside his form. The chain that was wrapped around the kitsune's neck, restricting him, was now extended pretty far given that the bothersome fox now stood only inches away from Naruto's being.
Naruto looked like a mere chew toy compared to Kurama's large body, which was currently set on all fours, hunched over so the male fox could use his blazing red eyes to stare deep within Naruto's soul.
You would think by the way Kurama rushed to Naruto's side the minute he showed himself that the fox would be quite happy to see him. But Kurama's snarl made it clear that was not the case.
Naruto turned his head to stare deeply into the red, slitted eyes of his pet, who was practically fuming at the mouth due to the blonde's mere presence.
Naruto growled back, baring his teeth at the angered kitsune, "Kurama, what did I say about being so damn close? You are not allowed to be in my vicinity." Naruto scoffed before using his eyes to take in the furry creature that occupied his entire field of vision. Naruto's nose wrinkled at the terrifying sight before him, "Kami, you're so fucking horrifying."
Naruto's facial features suddenly formed a playful smirk as a thought crossed his mind, "What? You want a kiss from your master?" In an effort to tease Kurama, Naruto puckered his lips and closed his eyes, pulling his blonde head towards his pet in an effort to kiss the fox's nose.
But he found himself having to vanish away once the kitsune rushed forward to slam his mouth shut in an attempt to clamp his teeth down on Naruto's body and eat him whole. The fox was disappointed to find that Naruto's flesh wasn't between his incredibly sharp teeth, but only air.
"Damnit!!"
Kurama roared out in exasperation, finally bringing to light his deep, resounding voice.
But the fox's outburst of defeat was only followed up by cackles from his master, who now resided far away from him, but even closer to the gates of his castle.
Kurama growled before turning his body in a circular motion, doing so pretty erratically in order to face his master head-on. But by his large body making a massive impact with the ground, the rocks underneath his feet shook incredibly.
Naruto laughed his ass off, relishing the entertaining experience he was enduring at the moment, "Oh yes! How absolutely amusing." Naruto raised his head to face the snarling beast in front of him, which had its sharp nails planted into the ground; the fox's shoulders were lifted high as if he was about to pounce right on top of Naruto. The fox's tails were seen swishing furiously behind him, all nine of them swaying side to side.
But the fox retreated when Naruto gave him a stern look from afar, a look where his eyes flashed red, "Calm yourself, Kurama, or I'll do it for you." Naruto's voice now was void of amusement as he ordered Kurama to cool down and behave. Otherwise, Naruto would have to take matters into his own hands and make Kurama behave in other ways, ways that even a vicious beast like Kurama would be frightened of.
Kurama's nose twitched as he maintained his growl, but he relaxed his body appropriately. Naruto watched as the large fox beast began to trot over to his usual side by the blonde deity's castle doors. But all the while, he kept his piercing gaze on Naruto.
"Tsk, you don't frighten me, brat. I could just as easily break free of these chains and bite your head off."
Kurama sneered as he walked over to the wall of the castle, just to which his chains were attached. There, the large fox dropped down on his stomach with a thud, reverting to a lying position. But his head was still turned towards Naruto, who snorted due to Kurama's threat.
The god of death didn't look the least bit fazed by his pet's threat, for he was quite used to it and wasn't terrified by Kurama.
Why should he be when Kurama was under his control? What was there to be afraid of?
Naruto shook his head, putting up a smirk, before turning his body towards his castle gates, "Ahh, yes, the same empty threats. Don't you ever get weary of repeating yourself, Kurama?"
"No."
"Hah!" Naruto laughed, "You remain as insipid and miserable as ever. That hasn't changed, I can see."
"Tch, look who's talking. You still spy on the wretched humans above for sport?"
Kurama scoffed back at Naruto, whose eyes widened a bit upon hearing his pet's response. The kitsune's glowing red eyes shone brighter at the sight of his master expressing a moment of shock.
The fox was pleased to see his master's countenance change in response to what he said. Kurama was able to tell that he had an impact on Naruto from that one minor detail change on his face.
Now, it was Kurama's turn to be amused, his head flying back to let forth a booming laugh full of amusement.
"Yeah, I know about your little secret, brat. Heh, you claim I am the miserable one, but aren't you the one spying on humans, wishing that their lives were your own? You find it amusing looking through their eyes, watching their lives unfold because you know your own is utterly pitiful. Hah, look at that-a god envious of mere mortals."
"Be silent!" As a result of Kurama's hate remarks, Naruto's roar spread far and wide, cutting the beast's words completely off. The blonde's eyes returned to crimson as he glued them on the fox beast, who obeyed Naruto's powerful command and instead silenced himself.
Kurama growled, baring his razor sharp teeth, but he didn't dare say another word. He knew what would happen if he did.
Naruto seethed, his chest heaving up and down in rage. He pulled one finger up at the beast, his toga swaying along with him in response, "You speak nothing else, do you understand me? I forbid another word from coming out of your wretched mouth."
Naruto was now extremely angry by Kurama's bold effort to assault him and his hobbies to remain entertained.
Kurama's words were ones of hatred and nothing more, a means to get under the blonde's skin, but Naruto's heard enough.
He wanted nothing more than for Kurama to remain silent.
'Who was he to question me? Hah! To judge me?' Naruto thought to himself in a rage fit.
The blonde stared at Kurama with narrowed eyes, glaring daggers at him in order to keep the fox at bay.
Kurama paused in his words, just looking at Naruto with the same amount of rage and contempt that the blonde deity projected at him.
Kurama was aware of his success in affecting Naruto. He only learned his secret because the fox possessed keen ears and could listen in on his castle anytime he wanted.
Kurama learned Naruto's secret from his succubus servants, distasteful demons that pose as beautiful women to seduce Naruto. But the only thing those succubuses were good for was gossip, and Kurama was able to figure out Naruto's secret from their incessant chatter.
Kurama knows everything that goes on inside Naruto's castle.
The monstrous fox scoffed before turning his head away from the blonde to instead look out towards the river below the citadel. He also pulled his head down to lay it on his folded paws, removing his gaze completely from his master.
Naruto huffed in satisfaction at the sight of Kurama obeying his order before finally leaving the area, leaving Kurama's presence, "Ahh, good pet." Naruto sneaked out as a means to further tease the fox by remaining silent. Only then did he unlock the gates to his castle with a simple wave of his hand.
The tall gates opened in the presence of their owner, opening with a loud creak before the blonde, allowing him to see more and more of the luminous castle inside.
Once the gates were fully opened, the blonde took several steps in, and soon the entrance doors to his castle closed shut behind him.
-An Few Minutes Later-
"Would that be all for you, master?"
As Naruto stood in his lavish chamber, a chamber decorated with crimson satin and gold accents, the blonde waved off one of his servants.
His attention at the moment was instead drawn to the blazing fire that was before him, caged in a stone fire pit. Such a delightful contraption was no ordinary fire pit. No, it was not merely a pit that was capable of withstanding the intense heat of not just fire but hell fire.
Oh no.
Set in the middle of Naruto's bedroom was a magical fire pit that gave the blonde the ability to slip within the domain above him and watch earthly mortals live their lives.
Just as humans watched their precious televisions, Naruto was able to observe mortals all throughout the world going about their daily lives. These pictures might be seen on the fire's dancing flames, which the magical pit could use to depict humans' actions in real-time.
Naruto always eagerly anticipated this period of the day. He took pleasure in observing the humans above him. Each mortal had a unique set of experiences, skills, sights, and places to call home. Some humans even spoke a different language due to their particular homeland.
To Naruto, it was all so fascinating. The blonde god couldn't deny that he was deeply entranced.
So he dismissed the servants of his that helped bathe and clothe him, to tend to his daily routine of spying on the living humans above the underworld.
Now, the blonde wore a black robe that slipped down his tall, buff form, covering his tan skin and his hard-earned muscles underneath. He was now all clean, warm, and safe within the heavenly confines of his castle.
Naruto was now just where he wanted to be.
The blonde hummed before pushing to a stand, using the sides of the stoned pit for support, "Now, who will entertain me first?" Naruto whispered to himself in glee before pulling one hand forward to wave it before the fire, his dark magic slipping from the crevices of his fingers to enter the flames of the fire.
As soon as he did, the flames started to shift back and forth, back and forth, until images of a random individual in the universe above Naruto began to surface.
Naruto dropped his hand quickly to step forward in excitement, gripping the sides of the stoned pit to see the images that were set in front of him firsthand.
But he was disappointed when the fire showed him a lady with wrinkles and white, fluffy hair currently sitting in a rocking chair in the process of knitting.
The house the old woman resided in was dark and dank, and it would seem she was the only one present.
Naruto grumbled in annoyance at the sights he saw in the flames of the fire. He found such sights in front of him quite uninteresting. He pulled his hand up to wave it, doing so without hesitation.
"Boring." Naruto spat in disdain. He absolutely despised boredom.
Because of the action of waving his hand, he was presented with another image, one that showed a human male...
Naruto's blood began to boil considerably when he was presented with an image of an older human male in the process of using the bathroom.
"Ahh, fuck!" Naruto yelled out in disgust. The blonde deity was quick to raise his hand, waving it to avoid witnessing the poignant scene any further. The revolting image vanished as quickly as it appeared, just to be replaced by another.
But it was one that Naruto disapproved of as well, and so he waved his hand again, dismissing the image.
It took a bit of waving his hand, critiquing the act of humans turning television channels on their TV remote in order to be presented with images he found enjoyable.
The rapid movement of Naruto's hand came to a stop when the flames portrayed an image that finally brought him no disspaointment at all.
The king of death's interest was quickly piqued when he locked eyes with a woman who had lavender eyes and midnight blue hair on the fire before him.
The blonde's blue eyes focused on the scene that was playing in front of him due to his interest. Such an image showed a young woman with midnight blue hair who appeared to be gathering flowers in a valley of many different hues, including pinks, oranges, blues, and purples.
Naruto saw for himself that the woman looked to have perfect, fair skin that appeared as smooth as silk. The woman's skin was completely unblemished by any marks or stains. As she worked, her skin appeared to glow in the summer sun.
A wide smile spread across the blonde deity's face as he spied on the beautiful human girl as she steadily pulled flowers from the ground with her soft little fingers, "Ahh, now aren't you fascinating?" Naruto whispered in glee to himself as he watched the young woman pause in her actions to turn her head, peering off into a place in the distance, giving light to the other remarkable aspects of her.
The pale woman's hair slid gracefully down her back, and Naruto saw for himself how incredibly long it was.
From where he was staring into the flames of the fire before him, he saw from the images shown that the young woman's hair appeared to be quite dark, but when exposed to the sun, Naruto noticed that the strands of her hair lit up and took on a midnight blue tinge. Such hair strands were free of split ends or dark areas, and her hair was cut, styled, and brushed in a manner that indicated she took good care of it.
Naruto certainly approves.
Her long hair hung loosely down her slender back and clung to the exquisite yellow dress she was donning, which steadily blew in the breeze.
Naruto noticed that there were no sleeves at all on such a long, sprouting garment. The dress, which was made of buttercup ivy, covered the young woman's impressive bosom, slender stomach, waist, and legs.
The woman's clothing had an astounding design, with green and white flowers flowing from her tiny shoulders to further droop along the fabric. The flowers that cascaded down her body were protected and held still against her torso by a little green ribbon band that was tied around her waist.
The woman's yellow outfit was embellished with green leaves, ivy daisies, and petals that moved with her dress in the gentle breeze.
Naruto could see that she was wearing a flower crown on her head, a crown made of white lilies that gracefully curved around her head and rested on her midnight blue hair.
The young woman with the floral dress suddenly put up a large smile of happiness towards a place from afar before throwing one hand up, to wave at the hidden culprit.
"I-I'll be right there, Mother. I have to pick a few more Zantedeschia aethiopica's. I'll be right there when I do!"
A tremble of delight rushed through the blonde deity's entire body as his ears took in the delicate voice of the beauty before him.
It was odd of him to be so entranced by a human's mere appearance more than their actual actions, but Naruto felt something calling to him as he watched the woman pick more Calla Lilies below her, a flower that the young woman mentioned beforehand.
Naruto recognized such a flower instantly. The flower that was currently being picked by the midnight blue-haired mortal symbolizes innocence and beauty-two traits that match precisely with the young woman before him. Not only that, but she was elegant, he noticed that given the way she dressed and carried herself.
He could also see her elegance in the gentle way she pulled the lilies from the grass. She bent down in a smooth manner, bending her knees to pull her free hand down, and lightly pinching the stem of the flower before her with two fingers of hers.
There, in her fingers, she gave the flower's green stem a yank, smiling once she managed to pull her prize from the grass and into the air.
She placed her nose gracefully in the heart of the lily's parted petals and gently inhaled.
A pleasant hum slipped past the pale woman's lips, revealing more of her angelic voice before she decided to place the flower she had previously picked within the wooden basket she held in her right hand.
"We live in a free world."
"I whistle down the road."
Naruto's eyes widened when the midnight blue-haired woman began to sing softly to herself, doing so as she carried on with her activity of picking flowers.
"Carry on smiling."
"And the world will smile with you."
Naruto's heart began to race as he listened to the soft lullaby that the young woman was singing with her angelic voice, which could carry a tune with no problem. Naruto didn't know what was coming over him, but he couldn't take his eyes off the woman. He was less concerned with her action of picking flowers and more concerned with the human girl's appearance and grace. He continued to listen to her euphonious voice, giving light to beautiful melodies.
Naruto watched with widened eyes as the young woman yanked another flower from the grass so she could slip it into her basket.
"Life is a flower."
"So precious in your hand."
"Oh my kami. You're perfect, darling. H-How-" Naruto was speechless in the face of what he was witnessing. He has never seen a human being appear as flawless and beautiful as the woman in front of him.
The blonde didn't want to see any other human but the one before him who seemed to just be busy picking flowers...
Perhaps for her mother?
Family maybe?
Significant other?
Naruto's blood burned at the prospect of the woman in front of him having a male counterpart to whom she devoted her love, attention, and even her body to.
Emotions of jealousy began to overtake the blonde god, and an urge to get to know the woman before him better was certainly Naruto's next mission. No, making her his was his next mission.
Naruto couldn't let such a lovely specimen slip from his grasp.
He needed more. He needed more from the young woman. Not only a look, but something far better.
Naruto gave his bottom lip a soft bite as he feasted his eyes back on the fire pit to take another look at the images that were presented to him.
His glazed blue eyes watched the midnight blue-haired woman, who continued to pick flowers while humming softly under her breath.
Only then, with a cunning grin tugging at his lips, did Naruto come up with a brilliant scheme that would successfully fulfill his dreams. Oh yes.
The grip his hands had on the stone pit before him tightened.
Naruto knows just what to do...
-The Human World-
Somewhere Within Konoha Village
In the middle of a valley brimming with flowers, stood a creature of life and love, or more precisely, a beautiful goddess.
The aforementioned woman of beauty hummed with happiness as she took her time collecting flowers of her own making, picking up many with her delicate fingers to toss within the wooden basket that was in her possession.
The beautiful woman, who had eyes that resembled the moon and hair that resembled the night sky, seized the chance to gather the beautiful flowers that had been born from her own fingertips to help the settlement she was in charge of.
The goddess of spring, flowers, and beauty, Hinata Hyuga, committed herself to ensuring that the planet would always be blessed with flowers, refreshing wind, fully blossoming trees, and a season of joy and fun.
Her grace, beauty, and luminance had a positive impact on everyone around her, but especially on the village, which she was responsible for fulfilling and nurturing.
The village of Konoha.
Such a village used to be a tiny one, but with the assistance of Hinata's mother, Hitomi, the goddess of agriculture, harvest, and fertility, her sister, Hanabi, the goddess of inspiration, and, of course, herself, the goddess of spring, the village has grown five times as large and now extends for miles and miles. Thanks to Hinata's influence on the natural world and the surrounding landscape, the community was surrounded by stunning mountains and hills that were covered in flowers of all colors.
Hinata set out to provide humanity with a beautiful, healthy planet that is full of remarkable properties.
Hitomi and Hanabi made sure that the inhabitants of the earth are granted the ability to make, create, and live peacefully with their families and friends.
At the beginning of the three goddesses' conquest, they indulged in a constant routine of roaming the globe to assist everyone they could to maintain earthly harmony and balance.
But after traveling for so many centuries, the three grew weary of constantly traversing the vast expanses of the earth and very much yearned to settle.
The three quickly succumbed to their desires and discovered a remote village within the city of Tokyo. Such a village was completely safe for the three divine creatures to reside in, and so it quickly became their home, their resting place.
There, they passed their influence onto men who would do the traveling for them. Flowers, herbs, and food were transported by humans. Also, knowledge, ideas, and materials like soil, wool, wood, livestock, farming tools, etc, were transported all around the world.
The three goddesses were happy to discover that they could assist humanity without even having to move an inch. The three lovely women were free to settle in Konoha and coexist happily with humans for as long as they wished.
Hinata absolutely enjoyed her place in the world.
Hinata loves her life.
As she progressively gathered resources for trade, adornment, and even garment dye, the beauty with the midnight blue hair continued to hum a flower song. Hinata made it her goal to use her creation to maintain the prosperity of her village.
Hinata arched her body slightly forward and hummed gently as she reached out to retrieve another calla lily that was a little ways away from her.
She pulled her fingers forward only to retreat once she saw fingers that were not her own grasping the flower instead.
The midnight blue-haired woman gasped in surprise before sparing a glance above, towards the culprit who managed to pick the flower she was aiming to pick for herself.
However, what she saw before her caused her to blush and her heart to race incredibly fast.
A handsome man with a tan complexion and spiky hair, blonde hair that resembled the very sun that was currently shining down on them both, stood there in front of her.
In addition to having blonde hair, the man had dazzling blue eyes that fixedly remained put upon her lavender ones. Hinata found herself infatuated by those eyes of his because they were so deep, so blue, and so majestic, like the sky in springtime.
Taking in more of the newcomer's facial features, Hinata picked up that there were whisker marks that engraved the blonde male's skin, just upon both of his tan cheeks. Three whiskers marks on both sides to be exact.
Such marks looked quite odd, unlike anything she's ever seen before. The marks resembled that of a creature, a beast, or maybe simply an animal that humans are more familiar with. A fox or a cat.
The male harboring whiskers was an odd feature in Hinata's eyes, a very odd feature for a mere human to possess.
Hinata also noticed that the young man appeared to be fairly robust for his age. She could only guess that the man was in his early twenties and had led a heroic and valiant life. He looked absolutely flawless. He was practically glowing.
Hinata continued to take in the blonde male's appearance, only to see that he wore a toga of red and white. Such a loose one-piece outfit clung to the muscular body of the mysterious blonde male, showing off all the hard-earned muscles that he possessed.
The white piece of the toga fit his body like a gown, only slipping down his legs to stop just over his knees. The fabric crept over both of his shoulders, slipping down to stop at his forearms, where Hinata saw a gold embroidery form around the ends of the blonde male's toga sleeves.
His white toga was covered by a red satin tunic that slipped around his torso horizontally and was fastened to his right shoulder by a gold pendant. But a gold band that could be seen wrapped around the man's waist kept such a tunic in place against his body.
Additionally, he wore a gold leaf crown on his head that was tucked into his unruly blonde hair. The crown sparkled and glistened in the sunlight, revealing to Hinata that the crown he was wearing was actually composed of pure gold.
Hinata also saw that he wore brown open-toe sandals, gladiator sandals to be exact, upon his feet in order to complete his appearance.
The naive woman was just silently gazing up at the enigmatic blonde man above her with an inquisitive sparkle in her eye. The exquisite woman stared at the blonde in a way that made him think of a little child gazing at something they find fascinating.
Such a sight was absolutely adorable to the blonde male. He expressed his amusement by chuckling.
The blonde took a look around the area, which stretched for miles and miles above the village the young woman called home below. He noticed that there wasn't a soul in sight within the area, only the beautiful woman crouched below him.
The blonde twirled the pink lily that was now in between his fingers, showing off the gold full finger ring that was worn on his right index finger. As he did, the blonde male kept his blue eyes on the shocked woman below him.
His smile widened, showing off his pearly whites, "Why hello there, love."
As Hinata listened to the husky but captivating voice of the man in front of her, she felt her body shudder.
The young goddess was totally unfamiliar with both the male's voice and look, which were both quite appealing. Hinata has been all over the world and experienced everything it has to offer, but she has never encountered someone like him before, so she was utterly perplexed by the blonde's appearance; epecially with it being so sudden. She certainly thought she resided on the valley side alone.
She could've sworn it.
The young woman took a minute before speaking, but when she did, she jumped to her feet so she could stand and immediately confront the impressively tall blonde. But even standing, she noticed that she had to lean her head upward to maintain eye contact with the blonde man. She was much, much shorter than the blonde, she noticed.
Hinata smiled brightly anyhow, her pink lips spreading apart beautifully along her face, "H-Hello, sir." As she gave him another glance, she examined the blonde from the tips of his head to the bottom of his feet with her lavender eyes. Hinata quirked an eyebrow, bringing her head up to face the male directly again, "Please forgive me, but I'm afraid I don't know you very well. Your face is quite new to me."
Hinata watched in bewilderment as the blonde chuckled at her response of perplexity, which hinted at how naive she was.
Her response truly tickled the mysterious blonde male.
He gave her a modest bow, merely to present her with the flower he had earlier selected. His blonde hair fell over his blue eyes as a response to his rather formal gesture, "Why, I am just a simple traveler, looking for medicinal plants; nothing more, nothing less. My personal name is unimportant, love. It is undoubtedly less interesting than yours, I imagine-
"Hinata." The young, midnight blue-haired woman was quick to blurt out her name for the sake of bringing it to light for the blonde traveler, "M-My name is Hinata Hyuga, sir, and I bet your name is just as lovely. Don't be so hard on yourself." Hinata put up a bright smile, one of pure happiness, where her head tilted just a tad to give way for her lips to spread wide apart where her pearly white teeth were shown.
Only then, did she watch as the whiskered male's mouth dropped wide open, in shock, Hinata wasn't sure, but it was a look that made her giggle. Hinata shifted her eyes down to the flower the male was beckoning her to grab, her free hand slipping forward to grab it gently from his hold, "Thank you so much for your help, sir." Hinata complimented thankfully as she took yet another calla lily into her possession.
Only then, did she turn her body to drop the flower into the wooden basket she held, so the flower could join all the other flowers that she had previously picked.
The entire time the blonde male stood frozen due to Hinata's positive response, her action of revealing her beautiful name as well as her touch. His fingertips, which had before been touched by the beauty in front of him, began to warm up considerably. It was an odd feeling for the blonde fellow.
To feel more of the warmth that was resonating in his flesh, he found himself rubbing his fingers together to experience more of the effect Hinata had on his skin.
All the while, his blue eyes were fixated on the woman before him as she made it her mission to do away with the flower he gave her. But once she did so, she moved to face him again, causing him to break out of his trance.
The spiky-haired blonde cleared his throat, keeping his composure the best he could before pulling himself back into a fully erect position. It was only then that he revealed his approval to the woman in front of him, "Ahh, Hinata Hyuga is such a gorgeous name, a name that certainly fits its possessor." The blonde complimented wholeheartedly, doing so with a charming wink.
Hinata felt her cheeks immediately heat up at the grand compliment she received from the mysterious male before her. She pulled her body away to shield herself behind her long midnight blue hair, "O-Oh, you're too kind. B-But, I never caught your name o-or why you're here and not with the other travelers-"
"Oh!" The blonde blurted out a response of surprise, which caused Hinata's eyes to widen, and her body to jump slightly, but such an outburst successfully gained her full attention.
The midnight blue woman dropped her cowering state and instead turned to face the blonde fully again.
The blonde man let out a nervous chuckle because he noticed the woman's act of fright.
Before speaking, he gave the back of his neck a rub, "I'm sorry. I hope I didn't frighten you, but I am just eager to inform you that I usually travel alone. I have entered the lands of Konoha in search of a herb of healing and sleeping properties—Valeriana officinalis, Caprifoliaceae, or rather, the valerian herb." The blonde lifted one hand up to give the village down below a point, doing so with his right index finger, the one that possessed the gold full ring, "I was guided here by the nice people in the village of Konoha. I was told that I could find exactly what I need and even more right here in this valley. I was also told that if I was lucky, I could meet the flower princess in this particular area."
The blonde paused his words to tilt his head, using his blonde eyes to fully examine the flawless woman before him. He hummed, "Are you the flower princess the residents of Konoha were speaking about?" The blonde asked with a mix of confusion and interest, his blonde eyes raising slightly.
Such a look caused the midnight blue haired woman to giggle. She nodded, rocking her body forward and back, "Yes, you can say. But I go by many names, my dear traveler." The blonde watched as the woman began to make her way past him, doing so while rocking her wooden basket back and forth.
The tall blonde turned his head to watch the young woman's every move, doing so as she ventured gracefully through the rows and rows of flowers that painted the floors of the valley they stood on.
The blonde found himself biting his lips as he watched the innocent woman glide across the grass with ease, her long hair rocking back and forth like a balletic fan.
Once again, the mysterious blonde found himself deeply fascinated by the human girl before him. Because of his deep interest, he picked his feet up to follow behind the woman.
He called out to her as he began trotting through the flowers and grass below him, which kissed his feet as he ran onward. But he truly had a question in mind, one he was dying to ask her, "Hey love, I've been meaning to ask. Why are you up here all alone? A beautiful lady such as yourself should be accompanied at all times, wouldn't you say?"
The blonde slipped out a charming comment, one that caused the midnight blue-haired woman before him to laugh. The blonde continued to run forward until the woman came to a stop at a bundle of plants that came in the colors of basil green and primrose pink.
She dropped to her knees to fetch a few of the plants, doing so with her back completely turned to the blonde man that was currently trying his best to catch up to her.
"Oh, I am not alone, sir." Hinata grunted as she pulled up a bundle of plant herbs from the ground, doing so with a little more effort, "My mother and sister are not too far from here, so I am perfectly safe. Though, I usually come here on a regular basis and sing to the flowers. But at the moment, I am actually just in the process of picking flowers for my people."
Finally, the blonde managed to take his position beside the crouched woman, who seemed to be busy pulling up a few leaves that looked quite blander than the flowers she was tending earlier. He found himself wondering what she was going to use them for.
But he didn't have to wonder for too long because the midnight beauty pulled up a bundle of herbs with pink flowers attached, presenting them to him so he could take them, "There you are, sir, the valerian herb." Hinata remarked, drawing attention to her actions of tending to the plants below. She was in fact helping the blonde, keeping in mind what exactly he wanted and seeking out a way to accomplish such a goal for him.
The blonde was shocked beyond belief. He couldn't believe how thoughtful the midnight blue-haired woman was. She was absolutely perfect.
His mouth was once again gaping as he stared down at the woman, who was gazing up at the blonde, keeping her hand in the air to allow him to take the bundle of herbs she had found and picked for him.
Hinata giggled once more at the sight of the dumbfounded expression on the blonde's face.
The blonde male shakily pulled one hand down to grasp the herbs from her palm, but this time he was able to feel even more of her, and only then, did he feel firsthand how soft her skin was.
Her skin resembled that of satin-smooth and silky.
The blonde man felt his heart skip a beat.
He smiled, taking the herbs into his possession, "Thank you, love. This is well appreciated."
Hinata's eyes lit up tremendously due to the male's response, "You're welcome. If you need assistance in locating additional herbs, I am happy to help. I know plenty-"
"You mentioned before that you were picking flowers for your people." The blonde male completely cut Hinata off to give light to a question that he had in mind. He tilted his head down at the woman below, his blonde bangs swiping over his eyes, "What do you mean by that? Your people?"
Hinata giggled before hopping to her feet, not before wiping her hands together to get rid of the dirt on them. She stood up completely to send a cheeky smile up at the blonde, "You sure do ask a lot of questions-"
"Hey, I'm just intrigued."
Hinata leaned her head playfully towards the blond. Her action managed to pull a smile onto the face of the mysterious blonde, "Oh, that's quite alright. I am more than eager to answer all of your questions." Hinata responded sweetly.
She then cleared her throat.
The blonde watched closely as Hinata lifted her free hand to point at the village below the hill they resided on, a village full of houses, stores, gardens, and carriages.
The blonde surveyed the area with his eyes, taking in the number of residences that had chimneys that vented smoke directly from their roofs. His blue eyes also picked up the many humans that walked the stoned pathways below while engaging in pleasant conversations, whether friendly ones or ones of business.
The blonde once again found himself intrigued.
Hinata smiled as she pointed at the village that she had a part in helping, her features lightened up positively at the sight of Konoha from afar.
Konoha was largely made up of stone-built homes with triangle-shaped roofs. The paths throughout the structures were paved with sandstone rocks and then entirely cement-coated for traction. The front stairs of each house were decorated with bushes and leaves, and the doors were painted in a blend of orange and brown.
Gardens were grown throughout the place where the residents of Konoha would make it their mission to keep up to par, for Hinata's sake anyway.
Mountains and valleys towered all around the large medieval settlement, watching over Konoha's inhabitants as a form of defense.
From a distance, the settlement unmistakably resembled a collection of tiny, closely spaced doll houses that have come to life.
The scenery was absolutely beautiful.
Hinata's smile grew wider and wider as she just gazed at her accomplishment from afar, "Well, to put it simply, sir, I am a dweller of the village you see down there. Every masonry structure and building you see was built with my assistance. I assisted in the settlement of the gardens, mountains, and valleys that surround Konoha, and I have succeeded in making all Konoha residents feel welcome and safe. And um..." Hinata moved the basket she held, which was full of flowers, to guide it up to the mysterious blonde beside her. She pulled it up in a way so he could see the contents inside it.
Hinata watched as the heavily built male bent over slightly to look inside at all the different colored flowers that the young woman picked. A smile pulled at the blonde's lips as he spotted Hinata's little handy work.
Hinata's smile grew at the sight of the blonde, expressing an emotion of approval. But she soon turned her head to look down into the village of Konoha once more, "It is my sole duty to take care of my people, sir, just as you travel to provide for your own. It is my job to provide herbs for healing and dining, flowers for decoration and design, fresh crops, and a season of delight and happiness for my precious people." Hinata's passion for her job was evident in her speech as she just aimlessly watched her village from afar, her pupilless eyes taking in every individual that walked the streets of Konoha.
But as she gazed off into the distance, the blonde male that resided beside her gave the young woman a look of confusion, for he found it quite odd for a mere human to speak in the way that she did. He found her to be quite innocent, yes, but there was also something else intriguing about her, the blonde knew that much.
He just couldn't put his finger on what.
After all, the blonde male was not your ordinary bloke. The blonde was everything but ordinary.
Because he was Naruto himself; Naruto Uzumaki.
Naruto, the god of death who has risen from the underworld, has seized the body of a Konoha resident in order to speak to the woman with midnight blue hair and lavender eyes.
Naruto rarely possessed the living but when he does it's often to momentarily roam the lands of the earth for further entertainment. It was a forbidden task for god's such as he to tamper with the lives of humans but it certainly was a rule Naruto cared less about. He did what he wanted to, and he certainly wasn't passing up the opportunity to converse with the midnight blue-haired beauty before him.
He certainly wasn't regretting his choice.
So here he stood, beside the lovely Hinata upon the earth, inhabitant in the form of a human while using his magic to give off an appearance quite identical to his regular one. He was having a blast speaking with Hinata. He wanted the moment to last forever.
He looked at her from a few feet behind the midnight blue beauty, who was staring in astonishment at the village below, soaking in every detail with her beautiful lavender eyes.
But just as Hinata was captivated by her hometown, Naruto was captivated by her. He sensed his very flesh begin to burn all over once more, but this time not from wrath but from passion and zeal. His heart began to pound in his chest as he took in every detail of Hinata up close and personal.
Now that he was close to her, he could take in every detail of her, every single bit.
He saw for himself how the girl's skin had been washed, toned, moisturized, and perfumed with an exquisite yet delicate scent that complemented the aroma of the flowers that surrounded them.
Naruto has never smelled anything like Hinata's aroma before-it was so sweet, so floral, and so divine. He kept bringing his head forward to stealthily inhale more and more of the intoxicating aroma that emanated from her body, her garments, and her tresses.
Oh kami, Naruto felt like he was melting.
He felt dizzy as he experienced emotions he had never felt before just from hearing Hinata's voice, engaging in a conversation with her, being in her presence, and soaking in her scent with his flared nostrils.
Naruto pulled one hand up to clutch his forehead, in order to steady himself.
'Oh, what are you doing to me, human?' He thought to himself in a daze.
Naruto was perplexed. He didn't understand how a mere human could have such an impact on him.
No. She was no ordinary mortal.
Hinata was unlike all the rest. She was different. Totally different.
She caused him to experience emotions he had never felt before in his entire life. She helped him see an entirely new world, a world that he had been longing to see. She is everything he's been wanting and more.
Hinata was going to be entirely his for that exact reason.
As time progressed, Naruto's thoughts began to grow dark as he grew quite selfish, not just the emotions he felt because of Hinata but towards Hinata as a whole.
It wasn't long before the wicked god began to conjure up dangerous thoughts about how he could feel the feelings he was currently experiencing forever. He was beginning to give into his desires.
Completely oblivious to the battle Naruto was going through behind her, Hinata let out a sigh of bliss, taking joy in watching her village from afar, "Wow, I absolutely love watching Konoha from this angle. It's just so beautiful." She turned towards Naruto to express a bright smile, one that sparkled in the radiance of the sunlight. She giggled joyously, "Don't you think so, my dear traveler?" She asked before whipping her head back to face the village below them, just to take in more of the pretty sight before her.
But Naruto did not make any moves to stare out into the village, but instead kept his gaze on the beautiful creature before him who had successfully stolen his black heart. He looked at her with an unwavering gaze from behind her, his attention set on her and her alone.
Naruto smiled widely, answering Hinata's question but not in the way she had in mind, "Yes, I believe the sight before me is very beautiful."
The compliment Naruto gave Hinata was one of pure truth. He was captivated by Hinata, captivated by her beauty and light, and wanted nothing more than to take her away from this place and instead bring her into the safe confines of his homeland.
Yes, he wanted to keep the girl for himself.
Was it selfish, maybe?
Was it diabolical? Hell yeah.
Did Naruto care? Fuck no.
In Naruto's eyes, he has finally found his savior, the spectacular solution to rid him of his boredom and save his wretched soul.
Hinata Hyuga is his salvation.
Naruto has wished for something new to join him in the darkest recesses of the underworld, to provide him with entertainment, pleasure, and laughter. He's wished for so long to be happy, to feel love like humans do, to acquire new knowledge, and to share diverse experiences with another being for a change.
Hinata is exactly what he yearned for.
Hinata is exactly what he needed all along.
Naruto cannot just let such a blessing slip through his fingers. He must seize this opportunity, consequences be damned.
He has declared that Hinata as his, and therefore, that's exactly what she was.
Naruto's savior, his angel, his lover, and his wife.
Naruto watched with darkened blue eyes as the woman cheered due to his previous response of positivity to her question. She jumped up and down while clapping her hands in joy, turning her head to spare him a glance behind her, "Oh, that's absolutely wonderful! I'm so glad you think so, mister!"
"Yes, yes..." Using his tongue, Naruto licked both his top and bottom lips with one swipe, "wonderful..." As Naruto further solidified his strategy in his mind-a plan to seize his salvation and put an end to his suffering-his voice began to drop an octave.
The herbs in Naruto's hand, which had a soft and creamy aroma reminiscent of vanilla, caught his attention as he lowered his head to examine them.
The blonde brushed his thumb back and forth through the valerian plants in his possession, but all the while Naruto's mind began to wander. His thoughts gradually began to grow darker, much more menacing. He cracked a toothy grin in response to them, "Hinata, love, I have another question for you."
"Hm?" After hearing Naruto's response, Hinata perked up and turned to face the spiky haired blonde, showing him her innocent lavender eyes.
Naruto clicked his tongue, discreetly switching his eyes left and right to survey the area.
'Hmm, vacant.' Naruto noted to himself.
Naruto turned to face Hinata, whose radiant face never lost its smile. She did nothing more than wait for him to reply, which only pulled a chuckle out of the blonde, "You seem quite connected to the village down there. But what would happen if you would perhaps... leave this land? What do you think would happen then?"
Instantly as such words passed Naruto's lips, he watched as the midnight blue haired woman's smile faded away and a look of uncertainty was instead expressed.
Hinata tilted her head in confusion at the odd blonde man just inches away from her, "I-I am not sure I understand. D-Do you mean leave m-my village and go to another-?"
Naruto shook his head, doing so in an ominous fashion that made the midnight blue haired woman quite uneasy. She was rather perplexed by what the blonde was implying.
Why was he asking her so many questions? Doesn't he need her help in finding more herbs to complete his conquest?
Hinata gave the blonde a wry smile before fully turning to face him, both hands holding the handle of her wooden basket, which was anchored down by her waist, "I'm sorry, but what do you mean by leave? Do you mean-"
"This world, my love. What would happen if you left this world and were given a different purpose, one of far greater importance, I assure you."
Naruto observed as Hinata's expression shifted from uncertainty to fear, conveying worry in her eyes. She certainly didn't like the turn the blonde was taking their conversation. He was speaking strangely now, which frightened her.
Hinata took a step back, her bare feet brushing against the grass, "I'm not sure if I'm following. I like it here. I-I love the job that I have already. A-A-And, my f-family is here. Wh-Why can't I stay here?"
"You didn't answer my question, love."
"I-I'm afraid I do not want to."
"Answer it."
"N-No. You're frightening m-me. Please stop."
Naruto let out a heavy sigh as he sensed the fear welling up deep within the young woman's body in front of him. He was scaring the girl, he knew, but he only wanted his inquiry addressed and nothing else.
Why couldn't Hinata just answer his question? Why was she being so difficult?
Naruto couldn't quite understand.
The blonde haired male looked up at the woman before him only to see that she had taken even more steps away from him, all the while cradling her wooden basket close to her chest for comfort.
Hinata was suddenly terrified, staring at him as if he were a threat. Her lips began to shake as well. She gave her head a rapid shake, her long hair following along with her, "I-I believe this is where we should end our conversation. I-I really should get back to my task."
Shaking his head, Naruto continued to rub the valerian plant in his right palm with his thumb in a circular motion, sending forth a faint crunching sound in the air, "No, I'm afraid that will no longer be any of your concern, my beautiful flower."
In response, Hinata could only knit her eyebrows before being suddenly pummeled with dust, notably that smelt of vanilla, an aroma that was comparable to that of the valerian plant.
Naruto used his dark magic to grind the valerian herb in his hand to mere particles, allowing him to use the plant in a more concentrated form. He drew his palm up quickly and blew the particles directly in Hinata's direction, which the young woman inhaled. The particles slipped inside of her nose and soon entered her bloodstream with miraculous speed.
Hinata noticed right away that her body had suddenly grew weak, her head was quite heavy, and her vision was becoming cloudy. She started to lose complete control over her body, which caused her to stumble. Such a feeling was quite foreign to the innocent young woman.
Such a feeling scared her.
Hinata moved one hand up to grip her throbbing head, caressing it in hopes of putting a stop to the discomfort she felt, "Wh-What's happening t-to me?" Hinata tried desperately to blink away the blurry dots that began to cover her vision, but it was no use.
The blurriness only grew worse.
She looked back up at the blonde male before her only to see that he was beginning to creep closer to her, the culprit that has rendered her unstable.
She whimpered as she tried to fight back against the sleepy effects of the valerian plant, "Wh-What did you d-do t-to me?"
Naruto put up a crooked grin as he stalked closer to the staggering woman, grinning to see he was quite successful in seizing his future wife.
He chuckled darkly, "I'm afraid I have not entirely been honest with you, my dear flower. For that, I apologize, and I apologize for my actions in advance as well. I know in time you will learn to forgive me."
"Wh-Wha-?"
"You will be coming with me, my love, where a new life awaits you. A life where your every need will be fulfilled. You will be a part of something bigger, something more, right alongside me—your future husband."
"M-M-My f-future what?"
Hinata's condition worsened gradually as minutes, no seconds, passed. She was losing her ability to hear the deep voice that spoke to her. She was unable to comprehend what was being said to her and was no longer even able to rely on her eyesight.
Her legs started to go numb as she slipped deeper and deeper into a world of darkness, a world that she only now realized existed and, as a result grew utterly terrified of. Hinata tried her utmost to resist, to maintain her consciousness, but she knew she wouldn't be able to do so for long.
She was going to slip away. She was going to fall unconscious.
Hinata couldn't even call out for help. She couldn't even call her mother and sister to her rescue.
All she could do was sleep.
Hinata let out one last whimper of devastation upon being betrayed by the traveler she found dear before she felt her eyes finally close and her body tumble to the ground.
Her right hand loosened on her wooden basket and it fell to the ground to hide among the tall flowers that were there, delicate flowers she once picked slipping out of the confines they were kept in.
But instead of contacting the ground, Hinata's body was seized and pushed into the chest of the blonde male, where she was engulfed by his warmth.
Naruto couldn't help but moan as he clutched his divine prize in his hands, her fragrance filling his nose and making him dizzy once more. The intoxicating aroma of the woman undoubtedly made the blonde high. He was battling the impulse to taste her, to lick her body with his tongue.
Instead, he swept his blue eyes over Hinata's unconscious body as it leaned completely into his. Only then did he notice how much smaller she was in comparison to his own physique. As she leaned into his warmth, his body seemed to suffocate her.
Below, her knees buckled underneath her, desperately wishing to collapse upon the floor.
With his head cocked to the side to take in his beautiful flower, Naruto immediately noticed her uncomfortable stance.
The blonde deity clicked his tongue before kneeling and bending his knees to bring Hinata up. After that, he hoisted her little body over his shoulder with ease. Her soft, mushy breasts smacked against his backside first, which enthralled Naruto even more. Her waist thudded onto his right shoulder, her legs dangling close to his torso.
However, since Hinata's body was being moved so quickly, her lovely flower crown fell from her head and onto the grass, where it was quickly forgotten.
Her long, midnight blue hair fell down Naruto's backside as he slowly pulled his body back up to his impressive height, all the while keeping his eyes pinned on the sleeping woman that hung over his shoulder. He kept her there by wrapping his right arm tightly across her waist.
Naruto shushed her softly, bringing his other hand forward to give her backside a few strokes, "There, there, my beautiful flower. Just sleep. Sleep and worry no more. Cause it is I that will now take care of you, Hinata-chan."
Those were the last words Naruto whispered to the sleeping Hinata before the blonde finally left the area.
Leaving just Hinata's possessions on the grass of the hill above Konoha, the blonde god disappeared with a whoosh of air, leaving no trace of his presence behind.
A short while later, two more beings' voices erupted in the valley, shouting joyfully as they made their way back to the location where they had last seen Hinata.
"Hinata, sweetheart!"
"Oh Hinata-nii chan! What flowers have you come to find today?"
Two women quickly trotted up the valley after previously tending to the crops in Konoha. Hitomi and Hanabi.
The two were dressed in stunning blue and green dresses with floral designs made of opulent fabrics.
The mother of both Hinata and Hanabi, Hitomi, possessed long midnight blue hair and lavender eyes, which were qualities that Hinata, the oldest of her daughters, inherited.
Hanabi exhibited traits that her father, who tragically passed away. In contrast to Hinata and Hitomi's midnight blue hair, Hanabi sported long brown hair and lavender eyes. To keep it out of the way while she attended to her daily responsibilities, Hanabi typically maintained her long, lush hair in a french braid.
The two exquisite goddesses came running up the valley to check on Hinata, repeatedly screaming her name with excitement in every word.
"Oh Hinata nii! Nii-chan!! Oh Hinata!!!!"
The two finally stepped into the flower-filled grass, only to find Hinata missing, her belongings scattered amid the flowers, all alone and without their owner in sight.
Hanabi was the first to discover Hinata had vanished, and she quickly hurried to obtain her basket of flowers while wearing a worried frown.
She anxiously searched the area for Hinata, but she just could not find her.
She was absolutely nowhere in sight.
Hinata wouldn't just leave, would she? She wouldn't go anyway without telling her loved ones first, right? She's never done so before, so where was she?
But when the very grass beneath them started to wilt and wither away, changing to a black color, the answers to both women's questions were revealed. The flowers progressively withered until all of their petals fell to the ground, leaving the cliffside desolate and lifeless.
Both of Hinata's family members experienced immediate devastation upon witnessing such a horrifying exhibition of the flowers dying all around them and could only imagine the worst.
Hanabi covered her mouth in horror, turning to her shocked mother whose strong gaze seemed to be fixated on the withered grass around them. Her skin quickly turned pale, dreadfully pale as she witnessed a land devoid of life, a sight she has never seen before in her eternal life.
That only confirmed one thing and one thing only.
But Hanabi couldn't bear the notion of her sister's possible deadly predicament, so she began shouting Hinata's name again. However, doing so eventually roused up her mother, and she began to yell her daughter's name as well.
"Hinata nii! Hinata nii-chan! Please tell us where you are!?!
"My daughter! Where have you gone? Oh, where have you gone?!?"
The once-peaceful and loving cliffside was now rife with the misery and desperation of the two goddesses who inhabited Earth, each of whom was deeply upset by Hinata's mysterious disappearance...
