Anything and everything happening in this story is completely fictional and has nothing to do with the real lives of the celebrities whom I'll be casting as the leads and other roles.

The story will be in English, except for dialogues where Tamizh will be used (and sometimes Bengali too), as required. Translations will be available for Bengali and for Tamizh; I might translate them or add the translated verse in the comments section alongside the dialogue in the future.

If I am using song lyrics during any situation, it'll be enclosed and italicised within '🎶' emojis, something like this....
🎶
abcde
🎶.

For mind voices, the dialogues will be italicised and enclosed in single quotation marks.

Sometimes, I might use specific lines in Tamizh for the point of view itself, I'll italicize them to differentiate it from English. Hope, it's clear.

Keeping the majority of the audience, who are from our native language, in mind, for now, I won't be translating the dialogues. If the translations are required, kindly comment.

Happy Reading, Book-Souls! 💗

A day in their life.....

Something is on my face-on my forehead, to be precise. It was paper, a sticky note.

"Want a kiss?" I laughed out loud, reading it. A lip mark was added at the end and signed as Mrs. Cell Phone Tower.

Her damn audacity.

I am not going to leave her. Muttering to myself, I folded the duvet and quickly washed my face.

I skipped to the ground floor towards the kitchen, only to hear a series of mirthful chortles, and I stood at the entrance, happily admiring the junior and senior boss madams, busily engaged in preparing dinner.

"Appa," the junior boss madam chirped and extended her arms, calling for a hug. I jogged to her and gently lifted the little bundle of joy, showering her with kisses, and got more kisses in return. Having this pretty pie in arms is a blessing.

A blessing that I received in a least expected way, but ultimately made me feel the luckiest once I got her.

Aadarsh's princess.

"Ahem," I heard a throat-clearing sound and bit back the smile that threatened to escape my lips. My daughter giggled at her mother and whispered in my ears, "Appa, amma kovama paakuranga."

"Epdi, Jerry settai panna Tom paakume, kaadhula irundhu smoke vara maari, apdiya?" The baby pie cupped her mouth, muffling up the laughter.

I tickled her but hissed, feeling a bite on my arm.

"Naa kovama poren, don't follow me." The senior boss madam walked away, and the baby pie stared at me.

"If Amma says not to, then we must do it." She grinned, and before the bedroom door was locked, we were inside, blocking her way.

"Don't be angry, Tom. We are sorry." We held our ears, apologising to her.

"Aana appa, Jerry amma thaana. Tom is you, right?" Her mom grinned and scooped her from my arms. Whenever she held her like a newborn close to her chest, my heart fluttered. Something I can watch till the end of my life.

Switching back to the world, I saw them tickling each other and playing, completely forgetting my existence.

Appa's princess turned out to amma's girl.

I looked up, thanking the Almighty, but gasped, hearing my wife.

"Dei thenna maram," she laughed hard and continued, "How should we call your appa, Vairame?" Thenna Maram, Cell Phone Tower, LIC Building....."

"Ohh." I walked to them with a fake glare and separated the two brats. They whined, but giggled when I seated my wife on my lap and our life was sitting on her lap.

"Is Tom angry on us, Nibbles?" The Nibbles swiftly nodded her head, and they had a silent conversation. I was hell curious to know their actions and tried to escape.

If Jerry and Nibbles are planning something, then it's a potential danger.

I stopped wondering when my wife whispered, which was clearly audible.

"Appavukku kichu kicha pannalama?" I gasped and tried to move away, but it was too late. The mommy-baby duo had pushed me on the bed and sat on my torso, tickling the hell out of me. I was panting for life, and our happy sounds filled up the room.

Finally gaining some strength, I pushed these whipper-snappers a little away and breathed hard while they sat with a big smile on their faces. It was time for dinner, and Yazhini had classes the following day to be attended.

We finished our dinner, and Yazhini dozed off to sleep. I was getting ready for bed and smiled, feeling two little palms on my abs.

"Vidunga, enakku vekkama irukku." I exclaimed in a feminine voice, trying to imitate her, and she hit my arm, laughing.

"Naa eppo da ipdi solli irukken?" Tharangini sat on the bed, leaning on the headrest.

"Correct than. You are always keen to remove my shirt, right?" Her face turned red at my comment, and I almost rejoiced, making her blush, but.....

She swiftly came forward and unbuttoned my shirt within seconds, throwing it far away.

Avlo experience, uh.

"I know what you are thinking of, vandhu padu man." I laughed and joined her on the bed, spooning her from behind. She pulled my arms closer, decreasing the already non-existing gap, and started playing with my fingers. I felt peace having this beautiful woman in my arms, and it seems like she was born to grant me that tranquil aura.

"Ennung maamoi," my wife turned to face me and started whispering.

"Chollungo aathukaari." She giggled, pinching my cheek, and leaned forward, pressing a kiss to my lips. I gladly accepted the invitation, and we kissed for a while, forgetting everything that's eating up our peace.

"It feels like I am teleported to a whole new world whenever we kiss." Thara spoke in between her breaths and leaned in for another kiss. I held her waist, gently squeezing it, and left her once we were out of breath.

"What was that sticky note, madam?" She giggled hearing me and pulled my chain with a wink.

"Enna pa panna? I have a busy husband, and he forgot that he has a beautiful wife. Athaan apdi pannen." She fake cried and turned away.

Drama queen!

"Yaaru naana? I took you out on a date the day before yesterday. I have hardly worked for hours this whole week."

"Kooda irukka, aana bayandhutu thaane da irukka." I turned, and she sighed, hugging me from behind.

"Enakku en aathukarar venum, I need my maama. Indha Aadarsh nalla illai." She whined, burying her face on my back, and I stayed still, unable to answer her.

"Nee onnum pannala Aadhu paapa." Thara continued and rubbed my back.

"Maa...." I started but stopped when she turned me and pulled my head to her chest. I hugged her tightly, finding peace and warmth.

"Nee yen enna onnume sollala?"

I asked this question for God knows how many times, knowing the answer.

"Yenna, I know my husband." I have been hearing this since that day and wondered why she took my side. She shouldn't have done that.

"Why wouldn't I take your side?" She answered, and I jerked up.

"Moonjiya paathale theriyudhu enna yosikkura nu. Padu da." I laid down on her chest again, playing with the nuptial chain.

"Even if the world is against you, I don't care. Enakku en purushan thaan mukkiyam." I hugged her even more tight, smooching her chest. No matter what, this woman will never leave my side.

'Lucky you, Aadarsh.' I mentally patted myself and felt heaven when her fingers threaded my hair.

"Aadarsh..." Thara called out my name and lifted my head as I leaned my forehead on hers.

"Hmm"

"What if I go missing all of a sudden?" I stiffened hearing her and bit her cheek in anger.

"Enna kelvi di idhu?" I bit her again, and she whined, slapping my cheek.

"Aaahhhh, valikkudhu da." I got up from her, and before she tried to stop, I left the room.

Already I am fed up with all the chaos happening around, and now she comes up with a very smart question. I really didn't want to argue and fight, so I decided to leave the place to cool my mind.

But will she leave? Hell no.

I tried my level best not to smile when she sat on my lap, wrapping her legs around my waist.

"Mookku mela kovam vandhudume en kovakkaranukku." I chose not to speak and zipped my lips.

"Sorry manna." She hugged me, tightening her hold on my waist, and continued, "I just wanted to lighten up your mood. I had no other intentions. I am sorry."

It's not her fault; she was just trying to keep me happy by distracting me from my overthinking brain and unwanted thoughts. It was me who's scared of my gut instincts...

Gut instincts that something might happen to the women of my life. Amma, Thara, Yazhini, Abi, Anvi...

"Aadarsh, sorry, pa." I heard her sniffing and pulled her head back, pecking her lips.

"Cheri cheri vidu chellam. I shouldn't have overreacted." She nodded her head as no, and I swayed us sideways, hearing her talk nonstop.

"Kovam illai la?" She sniffed, wiping her tears, and looked up with a cute pout.

"Illa di baby." A broad smile appeared on her lips, which turned out to be a giggle, followed by a series of pecks on my lips and face.

God! Either she's so mature like my mother or behaves like a tiny baby, seeking care and attention all the time.

A child woman, but only mine to be loved and cherished.

I held her tighter to myself and was so lost in thoughts, but a little snore broke my line of thoughts.

My wife is sleeping on my chest as if this is the best sleep ever. A dreamy sight that I get never tired of watching and adore.

"I love you, pondatti." Kissing her lips, I lifted her and walked to our room, as it was too late. We have meetings piled up for the following day, and I hope I'll be able to sort out all the issues.

My gut instincts shouldn't be true.

--------------

Oh my freaking goodness!!!

I stumbled on entering the room and saw him sitting on the table, in a lotus position, closing his eyes as if he's on a meditation. My footsteps must have alerted him, and he opened his eyes, which were as deep red as that of molten lava.

Before I could talk, he took up the last and final superflip cube, shooting a fiery glare at the parchment paper that was right next to him on the table.

"Adha thiruguna thaan idea varumo?" I tried to joke and immediately refrained from continuing with a gulp as his head titled to the side, abstractly trying to rip me apart.

"Nee pannu raaja, naa onnum sollala." He ignored my comment and continued solving the cube as I took a look at the room.

Mini, Revenge, Professor, V, Skewb, Pyraminx, Megaminx, Dodecahedrons, Floppy, Axis, Ghost, Impossible, Mastermorphix...

Phew! I am done with this guy.

Why am I chosen by the Lord to be tied up with this insane, intelligent character? So this is what he was doing the whole week?

Solving every type of Rubik's cube possible?

Ridiculous behaviour.

I couldn't help but look at every single cube, perfectly solved with open mouth, and with every solved cube, an additional note was written, meaning he has achieved what he wished for.

Some had writings, some had pictorial scribblings, and some had encrypted messages, but from the way those chits were arranged, I am damn sure that he indeed has done what he wanted to.

But what does he really want? Only the one who created him might know that.

Who knows, he might hide it from him as well!

"Pen and Paper?" I heard him asking for it and quickly grabbed a notepad and a pen, handing them over to him. He started doing some calculations, and my brain literally stopped braining.

'Enna da pandra?' I sighed in such a way that he wouldn't mind, but his head was up, with a snarly smirk.

"Kanakku potutu irukken." He finished off with a devilish grin, and right then, I saw him completing the puzzle, and he wrote something on the parchment paper, filling up the gap.

He threw the solved cube up in the air and took out his pistol, shooting it. I closed my ears, and for the next few minutes, it was just him loading the bullets into the pistol and leisurely shooting all the solved cubes straight in a row.

He was done with the shooting part, and I looked at him perplexed, as he hadn't shot one single cube, and surprisingly, it wasn't solved.

"Innum mudiyala," is all he said, and he collected all the notes, safely securing them in a pocket file. The parchment paper was wrapped in a silk, embroidery cloth and placed inside a wooden box that also had a papyrus sheet, three ostraca samples, and two vellum sheets.

Though I already knew about their existence, what are they for is what I don't know and never bothered to ask him initially. But as days went by, I realised that they weren't just normal leftovers but "remains of unfinished business."

The room looked empty and clean now, thanks to that crackhead, who cleaned it in a snap and locked the cupboard. He walked out of the room and gestured for me to follow him, which I did without an option.

Kelvi ketu adi vaangi saagava?

We entered the basement that was brightly lit and looked at all those he had "probably recreated." I am going mad, not knowing their purpose, and just then, he took his pistol again.

Marubadiyum enna?

"Lights on." He commanded, and right then, all the lights were turned off.

What the hell?

The basement was pitch dark, and a pair of shimmering eyes, glittering like those of golden sparkles, appeared to my left.

I almost fainted, and before that, a pair of shining green eyes appeared to my right, scaring the shit out of me.

Enna nadakkudho illaiyo, naa alpaaisula poradhu urudhi.

-----------

Darkness draped the sky like a thick velvet blanket, and howls of wolves were echoing in the woods.

"Beware of wild animals. They are man eaters." The scumbag warned his men, and they went in search of the missing ones.

The guards were well armed with all the weapons intact and walked slowly into the forest. The dried leaves made sounds as they stepped in, alerting the animals there.

The guards stopped on their tracks, with trembling limbs, as they saw two wild cats walking briskly towards them.

"That's a fucking lion and a tiger there." One of the men held his chest and spoke in a feared tone.

"Correction! That's a freaking lioness and tigress."

The lioness was young and fierce, and her persona screamed savageness. The golden skin of hers beautified herself, while her sparkling, golden eyes reflected anger and sarcasm at the same time, scaring the hell out of them.

The tigress was sleek, with the black stripes shining perfectly on her orange skin. Her sassy walk startled them, and her green, gleaming eyes were ready to devour their flesh.

"Run," a guy shouts, and the others follow him. The wild cats roar and chase them for a distance, and the men split into teams and ran deep into the woods. The cats stop after a distance, roaring in their direction.

The walkie-talkie rings deep in the forest, and few men hear it. They try to reach it, but a beep sound catches their attention, and before they react, they are trapped by iron cages.

"We are caught." One man screeched in a panicked state, and they gulped as the lioness and tigress approached towards the cage.

------------

"Avlothaana?" Rithvik looked at me with a confused face, looking at the laptop.

"Nope. A long way to go." I got up, shutting down the laptop, and opened the door to see him, maybe waiting for us.

I couldn't see him, so I left a little ahead, at such a pace that I could hear them talk.

"Idhukku ninnu ketute pogalam." Rithvik commented, and I hit his arm, shutting him off.

I saw him and Rithvik being quiet for a while and couldn't stop the imaginations that colluded within. Why am I this restless nowadays?

"Montu, kothaya tumi?" (Sweetie, where are you?)

His bunny hopped to him with a smile, but that dropped when her eyes landed on me.

So, I am the issue, right? Not him?

I tried to leave but stopped when he started, "I don't know what to say. I don't know how to react. But I feel like, at least for a while, we must stay together."

Rithvik continued, "Eppome apdi thaane da irukkom."

"I am serious, Rithvik." He roared and gripped his palms, trying to channelize his emotions.

Woah! I could read him just like that.

Of course why will I not, when I knew him all my life, only to be in this situation right now.

"Onnum illai pa, relax." Abirami held his arm, and right then, I saw nail marks on her hand.

"Hey, ennachu?" I grabbed her arm, gently touching the nail marks, to which she winced in pain. He was equally shocked, and we took her to my cabin, treating the wound. She gulped when we saw her arms, having blood clots, and glared at her for explanation.

"Solla poriya illaiya?" The three of us asked in chorus, looking at her bruised forelimbs.

Abirami looked up, and surprisingly, her gaze was on me instead of him. He was puzzled with her look as well.

"Enna aachu na...."

----------

When will this stop dragging? Why am I not able to get a solution and finish this off?

"Unnala mudiyuma?" I was pissed off with this question from him, and the skull flesh urged me to wipe off that smirk from his face.

How dare he?

I tapped my fingers on the table, waiting for the remaining documents to be printed. Collecting all the sheets, I turned to leave but saw a separate sheet coming out after I took up the printed papers.

I had given only seventy-three sheets for printout and counted them too, what is with this new one?

I took the sheet and found it empty. Maybe it was already there on the tray, and I wouldn't have noticed it.

Wait, wait, there's something tiny on the paper. Fortunately, a magnifying glass was there inside the drawer, and I quickly picked it up, going through the blank paper using it, and stopped at the upper right corner, which read, "Try if you can."

What the hell? Who did this?

A tiny paw mark, probably that of a wild animal, which I could guess upon closer look, was there on the lower left bottom of the page, and I rubbed my forehead, feeling the perspiration on my skin.

I took a look to check if someone was watching me or not and slowly unrolled my sleeve, too, to see a fresh red mark on the skin. It hurt a little, and I had just cleaned the wound, ditching the bandage.

'Stupid you,' the flesh remarked, and I couldn't help myself from agreeing to it, giving up my pride.

I decided to dress the wound and walked to my room, grabbing the first aid box.

The bandage business was done with ease, and I threw the used cotton in the bin, washing my hands off the Dettol.

A loud bang was heard, and in no time, an unexpected someone barged inside the room.
