Azure's P.O.V

I stare at my sword. Broken. Again. I sigh as I look around me. I protect this land. I protect the village from vampires and vampires from the village when needed. I don't stand for one side, but the right side and right now it was both. Groups of werewolves have been coming to kill all. I had just killed three werewolves. Eterna, the vampire huntress, probably wants me to join forces with the others to face the vampires. But currently vampires are no threat, and I protect my home. I am, after all, captain of the Royal Guard and it is my job. I grab my broken sword along with my cracked helmet and started to head off. I hope Rufous isn't hurt. I smile as I think of the shy blacksmith. I was told that he's actually quite violent and not shy at all when I wasn't around. I liked Rufous and the fact that my sword breaks every time I have a major fight, I see Rufous a lot. On my way to town, Eterna stops me.

"Did you hear about the Werewolves?" Eterna asked. I roll my eyes at the stupid question.

"If the Royal Guard informed you about Werewolves and I'm the captain of the Royal Guard, then why wouldn't I know?"

"We need to team up with them to defeat the vampires."
"No we don't, vampires are not a threat."
"I know, but their vampires."

"I protect my home from threats. Until my home is in danger against vampires, I will not fight a vampire." I turn to a Royal Guard member.

"You, go tell Fallacy that the Werewolves are planning on attacking in the morning." He nods and runs off, as I turn to the blacksmith.

Rufous P.O.V

I grab the chest plate, setting it into the bucket of water. Since the Royal Guard announced Werewolves, everyone wants armor. I think of my brother, debating if I want him to be okay or dead. Who would kill him if he was dead? Probably Azure. Can Azure even kill him? He is after all, the king of the werewolves. I officially hope he's dead for the sake of Azure. I sigh out loud as I look at the benches filled with armor and tools. I don't care about how neat the benches are. I finish the last chest plate for the night. I sit back and let out a breath I didn't know I had. I pull out an apple to get something in my stomach, when I hear the cursed bell. I turn around to look at the client

"Sorry but I'm closed." I said, turning around. I froze where I was, looking at the small, smiling skeleton, drowned in his protective armor. I begin to freak out as I look at his armor. It's torn apart. The scratches were obviously from wolves. If he got any major injuries, I would kill my brother myself. He is holding his broken sword and his helmet that has a crack on the side.

"Sir Rufous! You're okay!" Azure screams he runs up and hugs me tight, dropping the sword on the floor. Fallacy must of told him that Bellator was my brother. I sigh as I hug him back, happy that he still accepts me.

"Why didn't you tell me Bellator was your brother? I could've sent someone to protect you or at least know where to find you?" He asked, backing away. I take a deep breath and look at him. I love him so much. Why out of everyone in this stupid village do I have to fall for the one who has the highest rank? Captain of the Royal Guard. Yeah a blacksmith fell in love with captain of the freaking Royal Guard. I take another breath and look at him.

"Because even though disowned him, I was afraid you would see me differently."

"I would never look at you differently for something you couldn't control such as who your siblings are. Is there any other reason?"

"Well plus, considering he wants to turn me into a Werewolf, he uses the people who I care about. And he'll try to hurt you more than the others since I..." I sit there like an idiot, not saying one thing. I almost just confessed to the captain of the Royal Guard that I have feelings for him.

"Since you what?" Azure asks, his face lighting up to a light blue. I swallow my fear and open my mouth.

"Since I 'gulp' since I love you."

Azure P.O.V

'Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh' my face probably looks like a blueberry right now, but I don't care. I don't even know how to react. I stand there internally screaming as his faces begins to slouch.

"I knew you wouldn't feel the sa..." He was cut off by me kissing him. He pulls me closer by the waist. I feel myself melting into the kiss. I feel something touch my lips (screw skeleton logic!), asking for permission to enter I didn't hesitate to open my mouth. He started to explore every crevice of my mouth with his tongue, including the sensitive roof. After what seemed like forever, we pulled away. I look into his eyes which are filled with love.

"I have loved you from the beginning. When I'm with you, I can't help but smile." I said hugging him as I do.

"I have loved you too. But I can't promise you all the money in the world, or all the things you wish for. The only thing I can offer is a shoulder to cry on and a hand to hold. I can't promise the future, but I promise that I will always love you and will never leave you, no matter what happens." And with that, Rufous kisses my hand. My face flushes blue as I hug him once more.

"Well, I better get back to work. I don't want a Werewolf to come at you without your sword and hurt you. My love." And with that, Rufous grabbed my helmet and sword.

"I should head off too. I love you."

"Please, be safe. I don't know If I can live without you." I walked out the door, and ran to my house. After I got in, I picked up a pillow and began to scream into it. This was the best day of my life. If I died right now, I would die the happiest person there is.

Eterna P.O.V

I walk away smiling. I just came from looking through the window of the blacksmith, and saw Rufous and Azure kissing. Azure refuses to help me, unless his home was in danger. He never said that it had to be in danger by a Vampire. If he will only protect his home and home is where your heart is, then If I held the man he loved captive, then he'll protect his home. I walk away, smiling. Rufous will be the Vampire's downfall.
