Chapter 10

(This be short and fluffy. I've been falling behind on my books so all of them are. The updating rotation will be tale as old as time, home, when love bites, and undertale one-shots. Also, the song is original.)

Aisling P.O.V.

I poke at my food a bit. Vida looks at me.

"Are you okay my child?" I look up, smiling.

"I'm great. I just have a lot of stuff on my mind."

"May I ask you a question?" She asks. I sigh, not really wanting her too, but all she's been is nice.

"Sure."

"What is the history behind you and your brother?"

"We were the closest of brothers, being more like friends (the awkward moment you're trying not to copy the backstory of sensei and garmadon...). He was older and would take me to the town. In the middle was a tree that we would sit under, talk and just play every time we would end with singing an old song that we sang when the sun was going down. One I still sing to this day. One day, the werewolves attacked. Naktis was training to be a soldier in the army and felt as if it was his responsibility to save the village. He drew his sword and went on his way. I grabbed the first weapon I could get my hands on which so happened to be this very bow. I went to battle by the side of my brother. After about a half an hour, we were making major progress. That is until the leader captured me. I didn't see his face, but I knew I was in trouble. Naktis made a deal that he would take my place. The leader then decided to make him a werewolf, making him the general of the army. Since then, I have chased him around the land, trying to talk to him. I have found a way to make his mind back to normal, but the physical effects will still last." I pull out a golden apple, matching the one on my cheek. Vida looks at it.

"That's the sacred golden apple. They said that they were all gone." I chuckle.

"The tree that I and my brother would sit under held the last one. I hope that others will not blame me for using it upon my brother." Vida looks worried as I look behind me. Rufous stands there, leaning against a door frame.

"Why are you guys looking at me as if I'm going to take the fruit. It would be amazing to have my brother okay, but even as a skeleton, he hated me. After our parents died, he would beat me and such. He wanted to become a werewolf. I didn't think he would go through with it, but he did. So as you see, I could never get my brother back because I never had a brother, to begin with. You, on the other hand, had a brother that you loved and loved you. He needs you to save him and my brother wants to turn me into a werewolf too. You owe it to your brother to choose him instead." Rufous mentions. We look at him confused as he gets a cup of water.

"My brother is Bellator. You guys missed that part." My mouth almost drops to the floor.

"Your brother is Bellator!"

"Yup." Rufous sets the cup down, going to his and Azure's room.

"I'm going to bed. Goodnight." We sit there as Rufous is long gone.

"How does someone say that his brother is the king of the werewolves so casually?" Vida asks. I shake my head.

"No clue." Vida get's up.

"I must head to bed. Pillows and Blankets are on the couch if you wish to sleep there." I nod my head, laying down on the couch. I begin to sing the soft tune that I know by heart.

No one P.O.V

Azure lays his head on Rufous' chest, listening to the heartbeat, the quiet tune playing in the background

Meet me by the tree where I first saw your light...

Mrekulli clings on Látinn, happy to call him his. Látinn pulled the blankets over themselves.

Meet me by the tree where you shined so bright.

Fallacy picked Encre up, placing a kiss on his forehead. Encre hugged him close, never wanting to let go.

Meet me by the tree where you said I love you...

Suave pulls Jasper on his lap, nuzzling his neck gently. Jasper giggles then sigh, afraid of losing his love.

Meet me by the tree where you said I do.

Dr. Simon cleans Orion's bandages, happy by how much they healed. He sits up, gently kissing Orion's cheek.

Meet me by the tree where our love is held high...

Eterna travels the hallways. Her and Dr. Lofy made eye contact, running to greet each other. Eterna picks her up, spinning her in a circle before pulling her into a hug.

Meet me by the tree where we said goodbye.

Ibutho holds the crying Morte in his arms as he cries tears of joy that Ibutho is okay. He lifts his head before leaning in to kiss his love.

Meet me by the tree where you buried you, love...

Fibis leans on Charlos' shoulder, sighing contently. Charlos plants a kiss upon her head and looks back out the window, rain pouring down.

Meet me by the tree, and I'll meet you from above.

Naktis finishes the song, almost hearing his brother end on the higher note. The knock on the door pulls him out of his thoughts. A slave walks in, placing his dinner on the table. Naktis turns his head back to the window, wishing that times could return to what they were, but that could never happen. The past is in the past and right now, he better fight his tail off for this army if he wants Aisling to live. He closes his eyes, remembering nights like this when he and his brother would make a pillow fort to protect against the night. Aisling would curl up into a ball and snuggle in, saying that even evil people can't get into small places if their fat. Naktis lets out a breath he didn't know he had. Soon dear brother. Soon I will find you and protect you. Just like I promised mom I'd do.
