Glory couldn't keep the anxious green and orange shades rippling through her scales.

Infinity huffed. "It's getting late, why are they still out there?"

The queen raised an eye-ridge.

"Is someone jealous?"

The hybrid gave her a sharp look. "I don't know, you tell me."

Glory rolled her eyes and they both went back to a restless silence.

When Deathbringer finally came back inside, the queen stood up and inspected his body language and expression so she could know what to say and do.

Her bodyguard was definitely more relaxed and at ease than he had been moments ago.

His gait was smooth and back to its graceful way that Glory was so used to.

Quickstrike walked in after him, but neither sat down.

Infinity walked over to her mother and gave her a questioning look, a look that in fact, Glory was also giving Deathbringer.

He smiled down at her. "The sun's about to set. We think it's better if we go back to sleep and hang out tomorrow. Just to clear up our minds and talk stuff over."

Glory nodded, she understood that what Deathbringer needed right now was a good sleep.

"Sounds good, but where exactly are they going to sleep at?" The RainWing Queen questioned.

"I thought they could sleep at one of those spare RainWing huts that we just finished building?"

Glory took a quick mental check to make sure there was a space available.

"Yeah, there's a hut by the cluster of mango trees in the east side."

Deathbringer turned his silver eyes to his mother. "Is that okay with you, Mom?"

Quickstrike smiled and gave her son a loving look. "Of course, but I'm afraid we'll need someone to show us the way."

"Yeah, because you know, we so put attention to where that very specific hut was," Infinity added with an eye-roll.

Glory held in her chuckle as best as she could and said, "You can go with them, Deathbringer. I'll wait for you here."

Infinity gave them a smug look and suggestively wiggled her eye-ridges.

Glory playfully shoved the hybrid when she passed by her on her way out.

She turned to face Quickstrike only. "Have a good night. I suppose we will have more time to talk better tomorrow."

The NightWing nodded and offered a small smile.

The newly formed-and-found family flew off and headed toward the east side of the village.

Glory watched them go for a few seconds until they disappeared into the trees.

She took in a deep breath of fresh, rainforest air and exhaled until she was completely empty.

This, was a long day.

Glory gave the sky one last longing look before settling herself in her comfy hammock.

However, no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't sleep.

She was worried for Deathbringer.

Glory knew this whole ordeal wasn't easy for him, she could just tell.

It was weird, how she knew what he felt even though he never told her.

It's probably because we spend so much time together, she figured.

The RainWing lied in her hammock, not wanting to sleep until she knew he was back.

Night eventually settled itself in the day's place, and Glory's worry just grew bigger.

It couldn't have taken him that long to show them around, where is he?

Glory was going to jump out of her hammock and search for him, but a noise outside stopped her short.

She could recognize those talon-steps anywhere. Quickly, Glory made it look like she was asleep.

Deathbringer walked in the hut and over to her hammock.

"Thank you," he whispered before leaning down and placing a soft kiss on her forehead.

Keeping her scales from bursting into pink  that moment must have been one of the hardest self-control actions she had ever done.

Glory listened carefully as he walked away and laid down in the entrance to the hut.

She risked a peek and saw him staring up at the stars.

The light of the two full moons reflected off his beautiful eyes, and something just tugged at her heart.

The queen made up her mind and left the soothing comfort of the weaved hammock and made her way to Deathbringer.

His back was pressed against the wall of the hut, and his legs were just spread out on the floor.

He had been so into his thoughts, that he hadn't noticed Glory.

She examined the situation and quietly wiggled under his arms before he said anything.

Glory's back was against his side, and she looked up at him with curious eyes.

He stared at her open-mouthed before coming to the full idea of what she had just done.

Deathbringer's huge grin made up for any discomfort Glory felt at other scales touching her own.

He wrapped his arms around his queen protectively and placed a wing over her.

Glory hummed in happiness as he placed his head next to hers.

They didn't say anything; it wasn't necessary.

Just each other's presence was enough to give them both a peace of mind after such an emotional day.

For once, the queen wasn't edgy or fidgety when she touched him.

With Deathbringer, it was completely different than when she touched other dragons.

All the trust she placed in his talons played a big role, and the fact that he kept it close to him and never threw her trust away, it put the strawberry on top.

Glory easily fell asleep in his arms, but she strongly disliked the way she woke up.

Actually, she disliked having to wake up in general.

"I tOLd you! Ha, I wasn't wrong. Dad's poems were right. 'There's a look in their eyes, one that lovers can't hide'. Dad's writing was always right..."

"Infinity..." Quickstrike warned, "you woke them up."

Glory violently turned around and burrowed her head on Deathbringer's chest.

"Please please please please! I don't want to be queen of the IceWings! Nooooo, get away handsome and mysterious IceWing assassin..."

Glory shook her head as little images of an icy rainforest with a night sky bounced around in her dream.

"Glory..."

The young and good-looking IceWing in the middle of the rainforest was illuminated by a strange light that came out of the sky.

"Glory..."

"Stop saying my name! It's too, it's too cold."

The IceWing frowned and Glory found herself trembling.

"Glory!"

Her eyes shot open to Deathbringer's face.

He glanced at somewhere behind her, and she slowly turned her neck to see what, or better yet, who it was.

Infinity was just dying of laughter, no shame at all in her face. Quickstrike was glaring at her daughter, but a flicker of amusement shone bright in her purple eyes.

Glory growled. "Not. A. Word."
