"Thank the moons! Finally someone that can be on my side!"
Deathbringer growled as lowly as he could at the sound of Tsunami's voice. However, it wasn't low enough because he caught Glory giving him a warning look.
One of her eyeridges was raised elegantly, and her mesmerizing green eyes were more than enough to control the darkest part of him.
However, Glory had no control over Infinity, so the hybrid took Tsunami's distraction as an opportunity to attack.
As Tsuanmi was running towards Riptide, Infinity jumped on her and punched her with a furious look in her dark purple eyes.
"That's for myself," Infinity spat out.
Glory could easily tell that Tsunami's pride was not okay with that at all.
The SeaWing princess jumped up and was about to continue the fight when her not-so-secret lover held her back.
The RainWing queen's tail flicked in interest at the scene in front of her.
"Don't keep the cycle going," Riptide warned.
Tsuanmi glared at him, but she did not chase after Infinity when he let her go, instead she walked next to him as they went off to some other part of the beach to calm the princess.
"Eh, we definitely make a better couple than those two," Deathbringer remarked from beside her.
Glory turned her head to face him and rolled her eyes at his smirk.
"That's not a lie, but don't say it in front of them," Glory replied with a smirk of her own.
Deathbringer laughed and nuzzled her cheek. "I wouldn't even think of it."
"Oh yeah, keep being all, I don't even want to know what it's called. Lovey-dovey? Whatever, but it's making me feel so comfortable," Infinity yelled from a not a very far distance.
Deathbringer turned his head and replied, "Sorry!"
He went back to facing his queen and whispered, "Not sorry at all."
The RainWing Queen chuckled but pushed him away when she heard Tsunami's voice coming closer.
"Okay, let's talk, like..." she paused and glanced at Riptide, "perfectly civilized adults."
The five of them sat in a circle, no one actually talking.
Seconds passed, and then minutes.
"This is ridiculous. Okay, you know what, I'm going to say it. We came to the rainforest because... well, Tsunami actually came here by herself. I followed her, guilty. So I don't actually know what we're doing here," Riptide said awkwardly.
Glory sighed and resisted the urge to face-talon herself.
"My mother sent me here. She wants to have a meeting with Glory," Tsunami finally blurted.
"Your mother? What does Coral want now?"
Glory did not have time for a self-centered and slightly evil queen, even if she was Tsunami's mother. Especially if it was Tsunami's mother.
"I honestly don't know, but it probably has to do with dumb queen stuff," the SeaWing princess replied with an exasperated face.
Glory looked at the SeaWings and realized without much of a shock that they were tired from their trip.
"Why don't we just hang out for a while, you're tired and so are we. As long as you don't attack Infinity again," Glory suggested.
In reality, she just wanted to get a chance to lay down and not worry about any type of problematic issues. How many of those did she have right now? Too many to bother to count.
The RainWing queen watched Tsunami and Riptide walk toward a few rocks that were jutting out of the water not too far from the coast. Glory made sure they weren't looking before settling herself next to Deathbringer, fitting perfectly in the crescent shape his torso created.
He didn't say anything as she laid her head on his forearm and closed her eyes.
Glory didn't realize it, but Infinity had slipped back to the water, leaving her and Deathbringer alone on the beach.
Before she knew it, she had fallen asleep.
When Glory woke up she didn't remember her dream, but she did know that it left her a happy feeling.
Which was sadly, also forgotten as the real world came back crashing down on her.
"Glory, wake up. Come on love, I think it's urgent," Deathbringer's soft voice persisted.
The queen opened her eyes and raised her head, realizing that there was a stranger on the beach, and Deathbringer wasn't lying down next to her anymore.
"What, what is it?"
The stranger, a female peculiar looking dragon, was shyly standing near the border where the trees of the rainforest met the sand.
"Umm, I..."
Glory stood up and slowly approached her with Deathbringer following at her side.
"Your majesty," the stranger paused to take a bow, "I'm Aura, and I was sent by Grandeur to deliver news to you."
The queen waited somewhat impatiently in front of Aura, noting that only the edges of her scales changed color, and her eyes would shift from different shades of green.
"And the news are?"
Aura nervously looked around before saying, "Well, a RainWing was accidentally sprayed with venom by another."
Glory frowned and felt Deathbringer tense up.
"Are they okay? What does that have to do with me?"
"Yes, yes, they are fine, but they sent me because he is only alive because Grandeur used her venom."
Glory's eyes widened in realization.
Do I have another living relative?
"Aura, when did this happen and where is the RainWing that accidentally spit venom on the other?"
Aura cleared her throat and looked down in shyness. "Grandeur and the other RainWing are waiting for you at your suntime platform, your majesty."
Glory turned around and looked at Deathbringer with a somewhat lost look in her eyes.
"Don't, please don't look at me like that. I still have no idea how this relates to you. I'm a NightWing, and I know NightWing things, I'm still trying to learn about your tribe," Deathbringer said with his wings slightly raised.
"We have to go back to the village," Glory declared.
"Alright, I'll go get Infinity and the SeaWings," her bodyguard suggested and flew off with incredible speed.
Glory turned back to Aura. "Thank you for coming and telling me this."
Aura nodded and said, "You're welcome, but I must go now. Excuse me, my queen."
She left not a minute later, leaving Glory alone to anxiously wait for her bodyguard and friends.
Another family member, and I can't tell if I'm more excited or scared.

Good evening/night/morning/afternoon
I'm sorry this wasn't posted earlier.
If there's anybody on here from Europe or Asia or Africa or any other place with a different time zone from the US, sorry this is technically out on Jan. 2.
I still have 2 hours till midnight, but I apologize for the rest.
Thank you for your patience, always appreciated.
Also, OC is from AzzyDaCat-Dragon which is Aura. Thank you Azzy for participating!
Instead of using the first 5 I will be using any OC commented that fits in with the story. But I will do my best to include as many of your OCs as I can.
Also, since I want to commit myself to involve you more this year, I have a contest.
It's an art contest for the third book of the Glorybringer series, The Shade of Sunrise.
Instead of looking through google or other apps for GB art, I thought it would be better if you guys designed it.
The main concept that would be on the cover is a Sunrise obviously, Aurora and Noir, maybe Hunter and Twilight on the side, and Glory and Deathbringer on there too.
But if it's too much just a sunrise, Aurora and Noir and Glorybringer.
No due date as of now, but it's just a thought I had. If you guys want to give it a shot, please do! I will give credit and if there's several good ones I can always change it up every month or so.
Love you all very much!
Okie Dokie
Who are you in the dark
