"Can we help you?" Glory asked with an arched eye-ridge.

It took all of Deathbringer's training to keep the smirk from coming back to his face, he had to admit it, annoying Glory was one of his favorite pastimes.

"Nope, you really can't. No other reason I would come crashing to this hut, right?"

Glory rolled her eyes. "Right. What do you need, Infinity?"

Deathbringer's half sister smiled and said, "So glad you asked! I was wondering if you could show me the rainforest's coast. Yesterday you said we would look into my situation a bit better?"

He looked at Glory in hopes of any sort of explanation to what Infinity was saying.

The RainWing Queen looked off to the side in contemplation, meanwhile her scales shifted from a dark green to a sunset inspired palette.

"You know... that would be a good idea. We can relax or whatever over there too, this week has just been so free of stress and worries," Glory answered sarcastically.

"Right? I've never felt more relaxed in my life!" Infinity exclaimed with a fake happy face.

Deathbringer chuckled at their sarcasm. What could he say, he was in a good mood today.

"What about your mother?" Glory asked as they began to head out of the hut.

"She's going to need full rest for at least five days, so we should be fine," Infinity replied with a shrug.

"Are you sure she's going to be okay?" Deathbringer couldn't help but be concerned, it was his mother too after all.

Infinity turned her neck and gave him an amused look. "Bro, you need to stop being so worried. I told her our plan before I came over here, at least the main part of it, and she agreed. And so you can feel better, she looks and says she feels better than yesterday."

The NightWing nodded and sighed. "Yeah... I'm just shaken up I guess. A trip to the coast sounds fun, I don't think I've ever gotten to demonstrate just how good of a swimmer I actually am."

As he said the last sentence, Deathbringer made sure to give Glory his signature heroic face.

The queen scrunched her nose at him and rolled her eyes before taking off into the air.

Infinity and Deathbringer followed after her, the NightWing bodyguard made sure to fly a little higher than the girls to have a good lookout view.

The sun was rising higher every minute, but since it was morning and there were a few clouds, the glare wasn't too strong.

Below them, the rainforest canopy zoomed past in a green blur of trees and little birds fluttering around as they greeted the sun.

It was five minutes into the flight when Deathbringer said, "Not to sound like Clay or anything, but I'm very hungry. We did skip dinner yesterday and breakfast... would it be too much too ask to stop and gather a few fruits?"

He widened his eyes a bit and made sure to give Glory the cutest and most pleading look he could possibly make.

When the queen turned around, Deathbringer knew his little effort had not been in vain when he saw the scattered pink scales on her ears.

"Only because I'm hungry too," she growled as she proceeded to tilt her wings.

The trio was lucky enough to be near a group of various fruit trees. Their breakfast consisted of mangoes; bananas, and Deathbringer knew that Glory's mood improved greatly with the three guavas she ate.

"What in the seas is this?" Infinity asked out of nowhere.

Deathbringer turned his head and laughed as his sister dangled a piece of fruit in-between her talons as if it was the most dangerous thing in the world.

Glory was the one to answer her question. "That's a blueberry, they're not my favorite, but all the other RainWings I know like them. Give it a try if you want."

Infinity glared at the queen suspiciously but nevertheless brought the fruit to her mouth and took a bite.

"Just be careful, there's two kinds of blueberries, one of them is harmless... but the other is poisonous," the RainWing added with a smirk.

Glory and Deathbringer shared a triumphant look, since it was hard not to laugh at the hybrid's eyes, which were as wide as the moons.

They were wrong to assume though.

"Why is this actually so disgustingly delicious?!"

Deathbringer blinked hard and tilted his head. "I don't think those words go together-"

"Is there more? Tell me there are more!"

For once, Glory was left speechless as the hybrid excitedly stood up and looked around for more blueberries.

The queen managed to nod and say, "Uhh, yeah. They're by the stream over there."

As soon as the words, 'by the stream', left the queen's mouth, Infinity ran off as fast as a SkyWing flies.

"Well, it seems like she's really tired today," Glory commented sarcastically as she laid down on the soft ground.

Deathbringer warily looked in the direction that Infinity had run off to. "Yeah, she's completely exhausted," he agreed.

He took a moment to appreciate the rainforest around him, but only a moment because there was someone who was a hundred times more beautiful than the entire rainforest resting in front of him.

It was Glory lying in the ground that brought up the idea in Deathbringer's head.

How wonderful would it be to have everyday like that? Just the two of them, not a care in world? No queen duties to tend to, no worrying about assassins?

As a flock of parrots flew over them, Deathbringer asked, "Have you ever thought of leaving it all behind?"

Glory opened her emerald eyes and raised an eye-ridge. "Do you mean the rainforest and my crown?"

The bodyguard opened his mouth, about to deny what she said since it sounded less rude in his head, but he closed it and nodded.

The queen stared off into the distance as her scales changed colors to different shades of purple.

She was in deep thought, Deathbringer could tell. There was something about Glory when she was thinking that Deathbringer loved, actually, he loved everything she did.

Oh moons... I'm another level of lovesick.

His attention went back to his queen who was about to speak.

Glory sighed and said, "Thought about it, yes. Considered it, no."

She shrugged in a dismissive manner, hinting that she didn't want to continue to talk about that particular topic.

Deathbringer slightly frowned but let it go, his queen's happiness was more important than his curiosity. Either way, he could always ask again later. Today was a day for fun and relaxation, not more stress and family issues.

Slightly longer chapter, the good thing about writing on notes is that you can get carried away without worrying about word limits.

Not much to say this time, I said most of what I wanted to last chapter.

Oh, I have a surprise for y'all!

I'm adding new characters to have a little more variety besides our usual trio of Deathbringer, Glory, and Infinity.

AND, YOU GUYS GET TO ADD YOUR OWN!

I haven't done this since The Color of Night, but I thought why not.

What you guys need to do: Comment the filled form of the following.

Tribe: (Since our story is taking place in the early stages of the new two-tribe-kingdom in the rainforest, it must be either NightWing or RainWing.)

Name:

Gender:

Small description of personality:

Physical description: (ex. eye, scale color)

That's all you have to do. For now I'll take the first five, but if I need more characters I'll make sure to come back to yours.

Okie Dokie

There's a lot of fog outside. Kinda scary but kinda cool.
