So far!
Why was it so far?
Glory made her one hundredth attempt to fly to the huge guava, only for it to look like it was even further away.
She felt her stomach rumble painfully in hunger, and so she tried again.
The queen kept flying and flying tirelessly through the oddly colored pink sky, and it was when she reached out with her talons and sank her claws in it that she finally let out a triumphant smile.
The guava was five times the size of a grown dragon, and Glory knew that there was no way in Pyrhia that she would not take a bite.
However, there was something odd about the humongous guava.
It felt smooth, cold, and... scaly?
The strange thought left Glory's mind when out of the corner of her eye she saw a brown dragon flying her way.
She turned her neck, and to her dismay, Clay was flying at full speed toward her.
What worried her the most were his eyes.
They were deadly fixed on the guava.
Her guava.
No!
Knowing that she must finish her precious fruit before the Mudwing got to it, Glory opened her jaw and bit into the fruit she had worked so hard for.
Glory's eyes flew open as Deathbringer's unmistakeable voice woke her up.
"OW OW! Holy mother of lava, Glory!"
The queen looked down and to her horror, she saw that her teeth were sinking into her bodyguard's tail.
Her eyes widened and she immediately let him go, pushing him away for good measure.
She turned her head in embarrassment, barely stopping the pink that threatened to take over her scales.
Not looking at Deathbringer in the eyes she growled, "Do not ever mention what just happened to anybody else, and never bring it up as long as you're breathing."
She risked a glance at him, and to her annoyance, a smirk was dangerously spreading across his face.
"Hmm, I don't know if you've noticed, but I'm not entirely frightened by your verbal threats," he remarked.
All embarrassment was flushed out of her with his words, red anger speedily replacing the pink.
Stupid, smug-face, hot, assassin dragon.
"I can practically see in your mind, no powers needed," he paused to cackle like an evil villain, "you're wondering what you're going to do now. Oh! Now you are simply consumed in fury! This, is, historic!"
Glory growled and her tail lashed out of instinct.
"Yes, I'm mad, what a rare occasion," she snapped at him and rolled her emerald eyes.
"Alright, here's my brilliant plan. Let's make a deal," there was a tone of smug triumph in his voice, for he knew that Glory would do anything to stop him from telling the whole rainforest about the... incident.
Through gritted teeth she asked, "What's the deal?"
Deathbringer sat down and placed a claw under his chin and faked a thoughtful face.
"Let's see... my moons, I could practically make you agree to anything right now! I should take advantage of this opportunity, who knows how many more times I will have a chance like this one."
"None, this is the first and last time," she told him with the queenliest voice she could use.
"Aww, such a shame. Well, I think you're ready to hear my offer, aren't you?"
Her silence was enough confirmation for him.
"Here's the deal, go on a date with me, a proper one without all my family drama, and I'll take whatever happened this morning to the grave," he offered with his distracting smug face.
Glory raised an eye-ridge in suspicion.
"A date? That's all you want?"
Her bodyguard shrugged. "There's actually a lot more I want, but for now, I can settle with a date. I don't need a deal to show my love and affection."
The queen glared at him suspiciously, she knew there was something besides the date.
Or was there?
It's true that they hadn't got many alone moments after Quickstrike and Infinity showed up, and Deathbringer could be a straightforward dragon when he wanted.
"Okay, a date it is, but not a single word," Glory warned as she stretched out her talon.
The morning sun beaming on Deathbringer's face from a window in the corner gave his smirk an even more annoying attraction.
"Oh, my queen, you can't close a deal like this one with a simple shake," the glint in his eyes gave away his idea of how he wanted to close the deal.
Glory frowned at him and shook her head. "I am not kissing you just because of a stupid deal."
There was a rustle of commotion outside the hut, birds and other small animals hurriedly fleeing from a certain place among the trees.
"DEATHBRINGER! GLORY! BROTHER?! SISTER-IN-LAW?! WHERE ARE YOU?!"
Glory's muscles tensed at the sound of Infinity's unmistakable yells.
"My sister seems a bit stressed out today, maybe a funny story will help liven her up," Deathbringer taunted with a punch-able smug smirk all over his face.
The queen growled, she knew she was running out of time. Infinity wasn't dumb, in less than a minute she would find her way to them.
Desperate times call... ugh I absolutely LOATH desperate times!
"Fine!"
Glory leaned forward, ignoring her rapid beating heart, and gave her lover a quick peck.
Just as she leaned back, Infinity burst through the entrance.
"There you are!"

Hello, it's me. The most inactive and ghostiest of writers on Wattpad.
Before anything else, I have two important questions.
Does anyone out there still care for and follow this story?
Second question:
If someone does care, should I post a short summary of everything that has happened so far? It might take a little since I forgot myself.
Explanation of my disappearance will be on somewhere some other time. But not too long.
Okie Dokie
I missed you
